INSIGHT ON THE SONG:

Well, this story is not much to tell but i’m gonna tell you how it happened. This happened shorty after I recorded “Do My Thang” over Chris Wayne’s house, the produced of that song. When I got back home that evening, I got on my laptop, check me email and saw that he had sent me another beat. I listened to the beat and it sound something like a west coast hip hop beat. While I was listening to it, I was trying to see if I was gonna come up with a song of the beat, I couldn’t think of anything at that time. Usually i’m quick to come up with anything to a beat, rather it’s a hook or some kind of song idea which include lyrics. I wanted to come up with something crazy, something that would people react like WTF, or something a tad bit funny.

That day, I just left it alone. I think the beat didn’t have no feeling to it but it’s normal. To be honest, it was hard trying to think of the song to the beat. I couldn’t think of anything at the moment but the next day, when I was at my old neighborhood, one of my old friends ask me what i’m up to and I replied, i’m up to no good, and that’s what I came up for the hook of the song.

Later that day…I went home, got on my laptop and recorded the “up 2 no good” part, but in between that hook was empty, so I added some words like “i’m up 2 no good so you better understand” and yada yada yada. When I got finish with all of that, I just decided not to write because I really didn’t know what to talk about, so I just rapped some random stuff, whatever that came out of my mouth, you could say it was like a freestyle but i say it’s not, it’s called jungle craze talk, if you must know. I will tell about that in another blog.

Oh yeah, Lil’ Cheezy heard me playing the beat on the phone and he seem to like it, so he begged me to put him on the song, I knew that when he raps, he raps anything, and I mean ANYTHING. Lil’ Cheezy is the type of person who doesn’t really stick to the subject of the song and he will say things that will confuse people. Oh yeah, he is also funny in some songs. Anyway…so I sent him the song, he listened while we was on the phone and hang up quickly, recorded the song and sent it right back to me in a hour. Wow, at the time, i didn’t know he sent the song back until the next day when someone on facebook told me to check my email. After I got the song, I didn’t know what I was gonna do with it at the moment until I saw messages from Twitter and YouTube, with people asking me when is some of my newest music coming out. So I decided to put out a mini-mixtape with songs contain unreleased and old songs from last year to tide them over until my next project comes out.

INSIGHT OF THE VIDEO:

Well..As you see, there is NO music video. All I had to do was put up the cover of the “Never Been A Lame” mini-mixtape, which release on June 13th, and post on YouTube. You probably wanna know how long did it take me to put together this, just 5 minutes. Like I said before, i’m not putting up any music videos out for a while because (1): I’m still on my 45 day hiatus, (2): i’m working on a project and (3): even though they cut my hours down at my job, I still can’t put in the time to edit videos because I don’t have a set schedule. They done started scheduling me to work on evening shift now. I usually work in the morning time and get off as early as 12pm. I hate these kind of jobs and it’s a good thing i’m talented at something.

You could be expecting new music videos after the summer, and for the record, I have not stop making music. It’s just that i’m doing this project by myself and no one is helping me, that’s all I can say about my project i’m working on and the insights of this song. Don’t forget, the small mixtape “Never Been A Lame” is dropping June 13th, the reason I said “small” is because the mixtape doesn’t have much songs on it, so hopefully, it will help you until after the summer. That’s it for now!
