BosSie Breed & K.K.O.F. – “Gone On Rozay” [Prod. by K.K.O.F.]

I know i’m late but this song is for BosSie Breed’s “Gone On Rozay” song featuring and produced by K.K.O.F., which is also available on BosSie Breed debut mixtape “Boy From Da Rocktown”, dropping soon!

ABOUT THE SONG:

Me and Bossie was in the studio listening to some beats I made myself. I played 11 beats for him, all of them were between a trap beat and a club beat, he picked out the beat that was a club banger I made. So we wrote to the beat, I finished writing my 8 bars in 20 minutes while Bossie took almost an hour writing his 8 bar verse and the hook. After that, we recorded the song. The song is pretty catchy, I put his hook in autotune and it sounded great. It’s a great song for parties and just something to listen to when you feel like listening to something catchy.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Bossie asked me can he perform his song on camera, I was like, why not. So I got my tripod, set my flip camera on it and shot him mouthing the words to his song. I also shot my scene after he left. I didn’t wanna make the video like all my music video, I just made it simple and easy, and quick of course with a little effects and boom, it was done. I also added some footage of me and him fooling around on camera.

The song itself will be on Bossie Breed’s debut mixtape under the new label 848 Swagg Unit called “Boy From Da Rocktown”, executive produced by ME, dropping soon. It’s also a free download, click HERE to download the song.

What’s Next For Me??

Well, another new week, same ol’, same ol’…

I try to be content to updating this site but I got some things going on i guess. It’s because I don’t really have too much to blog about when I get chance to except when I post up a new music video or new music.

But I have to tell yall, the way i’m feeling is not what I want to feel. Let me give yall some info of how things going with me.

I been rapping for 11 years, things are not going the way I want to. I improved my music over the years including my lyrics and flow, I try really, REALLY hard to make great music so I can get just a little buzz, I need fanbase on my side to keep me rolling in music but it’s hard for me to continue when one minute I have some and other ones is dying on me. I tried promoting hard everywhere on social networking sites and anywhere I can place my music, even outside the internet but i’m receiving anything. I released 7 mixtapes and it seems like they look they get me attention but I can receive any feedback or contact. I have hopes to get signed to an indie label, it don’t have to be a major label but just a label where I can create me a big fanbase to keep me going with the music.

The music I make is classics, I don’t talk about violence or drugs in my music, I also make songs about God and Jesus Christ, at least I could credit for that. Like I said before, I music didn’t flopped intentionally, it’s because I haven’t gotten noticed by anyone yet but some people just ignore my music and listen to all the fake stuff that’s out today. I write my songs, I make my own beats, I record and mix my own material, I got lyrics, flow, subject matter and most of all, TALENT!!

I don’t understand why people is sleeping on me. I try my hardest to get out there but it fails. I took everyone’s criticism and did what they suggested me to do. I love doing music, this is my passion and I don’t wanna stop doing. I only got booked to 3 shows and I rocked them out but those people who liked my show I never heard from since then. I got over 2,000 followers on twitter and I get feedback from only 2 of them, smh. I got over 300 facebook page fans and 1,000 friends but don’t receive any feedback except a certain song or video, but mostly just my statuses that’s don’t have nothing to do with my music.

I don’t know what I have to do just to make it in the game. I tried everything and it’s not working out. So i’m considering calling it quits soon if nothing don’t change but I can tell what’s i’m gonna do next, i’m gonna release one more mixtape, it will NOT be like Regeneration but i’m going back to my style of music I like to do, this mixtape will surely entertain you the fullest and should be another classic in the making, for the streets at least. It may be my last mixtape so I need fans to keep hope alive for me before I make the decision to quit the music. Like I said, I do have a passion for the music but things is not going my way. I will be releasing this mixtape in August , it’s halfway done now but I will give you more info on it soon.

Where I’m At Now In Music = 2011

Hello fans out there,

Well, July is almost here. I don’t know what I got planned for it but i’m sure i’m gonna do something i guess.

Today, I decided to update on where i’m at musically in my life as of this year 2011. Some are good and some are not as I pictured as I wanted to be, to add with that, struggles and hopes that did not come true.

Last year was probably the best year I had in my life, because everything besides music was good, there were some downfalls but I can’t complain about. So, what this is a comparison from last year to this year.

In 2010:

I’m still in Atlanta, Georgia but was living in another location in Decatur, which I didn’t want to move to.

I was in a relationship with a white girl but unfortunately we had to break up because of some bad stuff going on in her life and ending up being single for the rest of the year.

I was working at a job that I didn’t wanna work at because of them cutting my hours and lousy pay but after working there for 2 years, I had to quit in August because I was moving to a further location.

I brought me a REAL new studio mic that has outstanding quality and got rid of my non-studio quality mic, got a MAC computer that has a great mixing system that called Garageband, and still got the windows computer for only making beats, Oh yeah, I also got a windows laptop as well.

I also had my Sanyo video camera, which was only a high quality camera, it’s was ok to use but later in the year, my sister dropped and broke the camera then 3 months later, I brought a HD camera with great quality.

I released 3 mixtapes (“The Redprint” in March 2010, “The Redprint 2″ in November 2010, and “Ministry Music Vol.1″ in December 2010 and my debut album “The King With Swagga” in August 201o). The Redprint mixtape got over 200 downloads and my song “Never Been A Lame” became a hit song but not a BIG hit popular song. Ministry Music mixtape debuted with over 170 downloads, not bad. The downfall was my album TKWS, Only 3 people brought my album, yeah I was disappointed, my goal was to get 10 copies sold, so I just decided to just drop mixtapes for free.

NOW, In 2011:

I moved back in Glenwood, which is located in Decatur, GA but this time, close by similar to where I was living in a year ago.

I’m sort of self-employed at the moment, most times I be bored so I just make beats and sell them to make me some money but it’s great to not deal with people on a regular tho.

I have no girlfriend, and I haven’t had no luck finding the right girl yet.

Still got the same material I had last year, my iMac computer, my real studio Samson mic, and the same other windows computer to make beats on, and still have my windows laptop only to use the internet in my room and stuff. I also got a new flip HD camera.

I released 3 mixtapes (“The Redprint 3″, “Go Hard Or Go Home” and just recently released new my project “Regeneration: The Hip Hop Recovery”), RP3 flopped but I recently re-released it, GHOGH was one of my best mixtapes but never gotten any feedback from it but from all sites and alternate download links, it’s combined of 126 downloads, which is not bad but I just wish I get more recognition for the that mixtape, and my newest mixtape Regeneration, I gotten some feedback from only the original people that I always get feedback from but haven’t got any from people besides them. I don’t think that my projects flopped intentionally or because of the songs, it’s just that I don’t have enough fanbase or I didn’t noticed by anybody yet.

So, right now, everything with my music is going bad, I feel like I been working hard on music for nothing. I been doing music for 11 years and nothing has changed. I performed at events, didn’t get nothing accomplished. Also I realized that I don’t get views and comments like I used to YouTube. It seems like my YouTube fanbase is dying on me and that the last thing I expected to happen. I try to promote my stuff but people don’t care and now, i’m at the point where i’m about to just give up my passion, hopes and dreams on music, i’m praying that something change soon, if not then I have no choice but give it up and find another thing to do.

That’s it. Only God knows where do I go from here. See yall later.

Return Of Making Spritual/Ministry Music

What’s up fans…

The last ministry LP I made and debuted with was Ministry Music Vol.1., but I know the one who want wondering about the info about MM vol.2. Oh yeah, if you haven’t gotten the first then here is your chance now by clicking HERE to download Ministry Music Vol.1. God is telling me to do it again.

Well, right now, I have no idea what to tell you now but i’m not gonna lie, it’s kinda hard coming with song ideas that talks about God. I only thought it may be easier to do spiritual parodies on some of the most popular rap songs that’s out today, only if I knew because I don’t listen to the radio much because the new music that people putting out now is turning me off and i’m not feeling. I’m a old school music fan btw. Right now, I don’t really have nothing planned yet.

I know for sure that I wanna mix it up this time. The ideas I had in my mind was a little R&B-ish spiritual type songs, if I can pull that off…and of course, there will some crunk ministry rap songs. I might add some ministry pop songs, for to do something different but not sure yet. I will make sure it will have subject matter, energy and lyrical content.

I will make some video with them songs before the album drops but they will be bootleg. Sorry, but bootleg is all I know. I’m sure the christians will get the point. Maybe some surprises in them. You never know what I might pull off.

As far as the amount of songs, it will just like the last project, it will have 10 songs, or less. I’m also thinking about add an intro, interlude, and an outro to the album, just in case I cant come up with 10 songs. They will also be songs on it that you may already heard on it as well.

If don’t know when it’s gonna come out but i’m gonna try to release before the year is over. To set the record straight, I don’t do ministry music just to do it, I do it because I believe in it. I think that other artist should do this kind of music every once in a while instead just doing just regular rap every time. You gotta give God credit sometimes your music. I will update yall when I get to it.

That’s it for today, God bless yall!

Beats On Sale!

Ok, so in case you didn’t know, i’m not just a rapper, i’m also a producer as well but please credit me as a artist. I know my beats are HOT but I don’t want people thinking that i’m just a producer.

Also FYI, i’m only making beats for the money.

My beats are cheap and in between the price range for $50 to $80.

Only way anyone will receive a free beat is if you is related to me or a close friend but otherwise, no free beats, especially if you from a indie label who pay you. My beats is worth getting paid for, because they are that good.

So, if you anybody need beats, email me at KKOFmusic@live.com

K.K.O.F. – Box Kutta (feat. Jorge Fuenez) video!

This is the music video is for the song “Box Kutta” (feat. Jorge Fuenez)

Song available on K.K.O.F.’s “The Redprint 3″ mixtape

FREE DOWNLOAD – Click HERE to download mixtape

ABOUT THE SONG:

Well, this all started when I was working on my artist Jorge Fuenez mixtape “The Contraband Man”, but even before that, I was bored one night, so I decided to make a beat, I wasn’t aware for what I was gonna use it for yet but I wanted to do a hype style beat, so I made one and it was hype to def.

I think it was about a week after I made the beat, I check my email and I got the verse vocals from Jorge Fuenez to mix with a song called “Humility” from his latest mixtape “The Contraband Man”, which is a classic mixtape by the way.

Than a couple weeks later as I was in the studio recording songs, I happen to go through my files in my hard drive and found the same beat I made a couple weeks back, so I was in recording mode, I wrote about 60% of the verses but didn’t have no hook yet, after I wrote the verses, I went ahead and recorded the verse I wrote and then after I recorded, I decided to go in my files and find a sample where I can place a chorus on the song. I listened to Jorge’s verse from Humility , I listened until I got to the last line of his verse, in his that line he said “I look sharp, I rock shutters, you can fight me, or you can box kutta”, I thought that was the tightest line I ever heard. BTW, Kutta is the 2nd “K” in my name K.K.O.F. (King Kutta On Fire), so I used as a hook because it kinda sounded like it could be a chorus for song. I named the song “Box Kutta”, yeah I know it’s crazy. Jorge had no idea I sampled his verse and made it in a hook but he liked it. I think he likes it when I sample his verses. Thanks Fueezy!!

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, we was supposed to do the video back in the beginning of the year but Jorge had school at the time and didn’t have time so I had to leave it alone for a while but I almost forgot about doing the video but i’m glad he reminded because I wanted to do the video so bad and I really like this song.

Since Jorge was finished with school, he went ahead and did some clips to the video. He sent me one clip but did two different scenes of his part where he mouthing his words, one shot was regular, which was toward the camera and the other one was him facing towards the side.

I ended up shooting my two clips 3 days after he sent his to me. One of my shot was in my backyard and the other shot was with me on all red with the Kanye West shades on. Oh, there’s also a shot where I was drinking Pepsi, haha, had to do something crazy.

It took me an hour and 47 minutes to edit this video. It was worth it. That’s all I got for now. Lookout for my new mixtape “Regeneration: The Hip Hop Recovery” dropping June 20th!

Jorge Fuenez & K.K.O.F. Live Performance @ Redlight Cafe!

REGENERATION: The Hip Hop Recovery EP drops June 20th!

This video above is a footage of Jorge Fuenez featuring K.K.O.F. live show at The Redlight Cafe.

SHOW INSIGHT:

The last time I was booked to the Redlight Cafe was on March 20th along with Jorge Fuenez but we both performed solo. Now this past Sunday on May 29th, I didn’t get officially booked to perform but Jorge did. As for me, Jorge asked me to be his hype man, at first, I wasn’t sure if I was able to make it because I had some important stuff to do around the 29th to May 31st but I manage to make it there anyway, so I agreed to be his hype man because he really wanted me at his show, I thought was nice of him. Thanks Jorge.

Jorge’s last hype man was former STN artist Hard Knox, he pretty just stumbled and froze through the performance, I guess maybe it was his first time or something like that  but Jorge has a lot of stage experience, meaning that it’s not his first time being on stage. Hard Knox, take notes on being a hype man. This is my first being someone’s hype man and I did a great job.

The show itself didn’t have much people like it was the last time we were there but we put on a great performance. Technically, we was supposed to go on first but the host of the show Tino Panama decided he wanted Jorge to be in the middle of the list so more people can see him. I guess we was ok with that but on the previous show, Jorge was the first to perform but I told I was supposed to go on at 8pm but I ended up going on stage at 9:46pm, Smh, otherwise we had a good performance.

The song you us performing on the video above are “Humility” (off Jorge’s THE CONTRABAND MAN mixtape) and “Thrift Squad” (which is originally by myself, Jorge and the hook by Cash Browns – the song will be available on my next mixtape coming August 2011), the video  above I made above is a customized version but Jorge also performed 3 more songs as well, “Good Tyme”, “Gunna Shine” and a brand new song that nobody never heard except me and the people who was at the concert, off his next upcoming mixtape, supposed to drop in August!

You can see me and Jorge performing the 4 songs “Good Tyme”, “Humility (feat KKOF)”, “Gunna Shine” and “Thrift Squad” on the video above. The quality is kinda messed up on this footage.

Once again, shoutout to Jorge Fuenez for letting me be his hype man and shoutout to Snoopbear/CashBrowns and Jafart coming out, and to every else who came out to support Swagg Tyme Nation. On a bad side note: Afton don’t wanna book us again because they expect us to sell more tickets than what we sold the previous time. Last time, I had to pay my mom, sister, grandma, my dad (who didn’t end up going) tickets and my dad friends payed for a ticket but they didnt show up either and my aunt payed for one and she didnt come either, she did just to help me out but basically, I had to pay 4 tickets which was 10 dollars each myself. I tried to promote and get other people to get tickets to my show but they just ignore it and dont care gets me frustrated, and i’m not the only one who feels this way, so does Jorge but i’m not gonna vent about that issue on this blog.

So watch and enjoy our live performance footage and be on the lookout for Regeneration on June 20th!

Cutting Down My Bars & Verses

First off, Be on the lookout for my new EP “Regeneration: The Hip Hop Recovery” dropping June 20th!

Alright so, you may notice that most of the music you hear today has only 2 verses now. I use to do 3 16 bars verses but now, I figure it is now a waste of my writing time but what I have learned is these tips below:

  • If you are just starting to do Hip Hop music or a new rapper, people today don’t want to hear 3 verses with 8, 12 or 16 bars, the quality might be great but if you a good rapper, you don’t have to settle for Three 16 bar verses. People will know you have the rapping skill and I suggest you do your music with less verses and less bars.
  • Every idea you spit or write can be done in less than 3 verses and less bars.
  • The 3rd verse will not be good because writing ideas run out, when you feel like you struggling on the 3rd verse, that’s a sign telling you that you don’t need to write anymore for that track.
  • Check this out – If your track has 3 verses and you done two verses, you can have another artist placed on a 3rd empty verse. Simple.
  • Also, if the tempo of the track is sorta slower than 65 BPM, you totally don’t need 3 verses for the track. Those usually be long 5 minutes tracks that will make wanna hear something else or might bore you to death!
  •  I learned this -  some people wanna listen to short songs, however, if the song has 3 verses with 16 bars, they don’t wanna hear the rest of the no more so try to keep your song 3 or 4 minutes, keep it short and simple.
  • And last but not least, DJ’s, seriously important so please pay attention – DJ’s don’t really play songs past the 2nd verse of the song, I learn this from a friend who is a DJ, no matter how good the song is, unless it’s a big hit worldwide song but it’s not bad but DJ’s can do that if they like.

Most of you who listens to my new material may have notice that I shorten my verses and bars on my songs. I have now shorten my verses to two verses or sometimes one depending on the kinda song and shorten my bars to either 12 or 8. If i happen to have a 3rd verse on a song, it will be for a guest artist, which is good because sometimes, people wanna hear another artist vocals. Sometimes I do a song with two verses with 16 bars depending on the idea or subject of the song… but for me, I like to do two verses with 8 bars, because they make the song shorter and I won’t run out of writing ideas so that’s why i’m cutting down my bars and verses. No need for 3 long verses for a song for me, gotta keep it short and simple.

For example: “Sounds Like” (2 verses with 8 bars), check it out here, click on the following link: http://youtu.be/BYI_3FcS3EE

K.K.O.F. – Sounds Like Music Video

This is the video of K.K.O.F.’s song “Sounds Like” (Produced By K.K.O.F.)

Song available on K.K.O.F.’s mixtape “Go Hard Or Go Home”, Free Download, click HERE

ABOUT THE SONG:

Usually, I always explain step by step of how I came up with the song but on some real ish, I can’t remember all of how I come up with this song, I forgot when I recorded this song.

Since I can’t remember exactly how I come up with the song and when I come up with it, i’m just gonna go by what I do remember about it. Might not be much insight to the song.

All I know that I was going through some beats that was in my hard drive, I found one beat I wanted to make something boomin but inspirational song from, so I grabbed it and wrote it to it. I wanted to send a message to the rappers that if you a rapper, you don’t have to rap about trapper just to sound like a trap rapper, in case you don’t know what trap rap is, trap rap is negative music about drugs, violence and all that other non-sense. Imma keep it real, I listen to some of the trap music but not all of it, I listen to Gucci Mane (CEO of Bricksquad who made the hit songs “Lemonade”, “Wasted” and more!), who has recently calmed down on some of the trap rap but he also does non-trap rap, which is even better. All the other from Bricksquad is either wannabe trappers or just to hop on Gucci’s and Waka Flocka’s bandwagon. Speaking on Waka, he is signing all of these rappers that has no lyricism, that’s including himself as well but he said himself that he don’t care about lyrics, but one thing for certain, he is indeed a hitmaker, so I can’t front on that.

Anyway, back to the topic….

So the meaning of this song was to tell rap artists that you can use trap beats and make a great song, for me, it’s my specialty. I made a trap beat for my song “Never Been A Lame” and it became a hit song. It’s my most popular ever and i’m proud of what I did, but also to all artist who uses trap beats, be careful about the music you make because some listeners are closed minded, meaning that they will only listen to the beat instead of the whole song together.

For me, I like to put some lyricism and strong messages in trap beats because to me, all of that combines a hit. If the beat is not a catchy and dancey type song, it’s not a hit. Some rappers like to use other beats besides trap beats, but don’t get it twisted, I use other beats too, like pop, rock and jazz type beats but my style is mainly party/dance songs and inspiration catchy song over trap style beats. I had people send me beats that were so wack that I had to trash them. That’s why I have personal producers on my team, like Chris Wayne and JJ Playboi. Both of them has contributed and reached out to me in my music. They are also a part of my success as an artist today.

Dang, I keep going off topic. Oh well, you get the point of the song, I hope.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, you know i’m back with the bootleg videos, well…you should already know that by now….

For the video, I was planning to do 2 shots in the video but I ended up doing 3. The first two was in my backyard but in two different places, one was on side of my shed where I storage extra stuff and the other scene was next to the shed but at the end of the fence. My backyard is kinda big but not as big as the previous house on Snapfinger, which I moved out on September of last year

The last scene was in my room, I was not gonna shoot that scene but I was kinda bored so I shot it anyway. I kept kinda simple as always.

The total video editing time, 1 hour and 45 minutes at 1am in the morning, smh. I touched the video up with some effects and stuff. Should be good enough for now!

That’s it for now but in the meantime, enjoy this one and please share this video with your friends. More videos coming soon!

K.K.O.F. – Go Hard Or Go Home Video!

This is the song for K.K.O.F.’s “Go Hard Or Go Home” music video!

Song available on this mixtape, click HERE to download for free!

ABOUT THE SONG:

Well, some of you may say that this song is familiar, but if you haven’t previewed or brought my album “The King With Swagga” then you have may not heard this song, which is why I decided to put the song on the mixtape.

It ain’t too much I can say or insight to give about the song but I made this song last year as the introduction for my album “The King With Swagga”, which is last year. Before I first attempted to record the song, I was gonna sell this beat with some help from a former business partner of mine but due to his non-loyalness, I didn’t get a chance to work with him at all. I gave him about 11 beats to help me sell but since that didn’t happen, I just went ahead and sold them myself except the beat itself. I had to bring this conversation up because they how to story started.

So I when ahead, took the beat, wrote to it and recorded the song. It didn’t take long to record it. After I record, I started to think the song was too short but that’s when I made up my mind that i’m gonna start making songs short like that. Why? because I don’t need 3 verse with 16 bars on each song I do. Personally and Musically, when I write a song, I run out of ideas on the 3rd 16 bar verse, so now I do 2 verses with 8 bars because it’s easier that way. I might do 16 bars every once in a while, if I feel like it.

And there it is….

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, the video was a bit simple prior to my previous video Kutta 2 Tymez. I don’t really do too much “over the top” type video no more so what I decided to do on this video was just make it simple as I could. Basically I was little lazy on shooting videos but I manage to make some when i’m bored!

I shot the video in my den in the house with my flip camera on my tripod. I did one scene with the camera titled up while I had to look directly down at the camera, and then the other scene was shot in the regular direction, which is straight. Shooting the video was pretty simple as I said before.

For editing the video, I just put some color effect with a little of iMovie effect with it. It took me about 15 to finish editing the video and there it is, it’s kinda bootleg but that’s the way some of my videos gonna be because sometimes, I get lazy or can’t do a “over the top” video, so it’s for your viewing pleasure and if it’s boring then i’m sorry for you.

I’ll be coming out with more music videos from the “Go Hard Or Go Home” mixtape. Download the mixtape above for FREE!

Next Set Of Upcoming Videos!!

What’s up yall,

Sorry I haven’t been on here much, I don’t really have too much info to blog about at the moment and I been dealing with some life stuff and my music.

So, yall probably been wondering have I been working on new videos, yeah I have but like I said before, don’t expect them to be all fancy and professional because since I moved to another home in Decatur, I have no where to place my green screen, so I don’t know when i’ll be able to do some green screen videos again but all I can is shoot videos without it.

Now the videos i’m working on is for the singles from my latest street tape “Go Hard Or Go Home”. I supposed to release a video last Monday but I got busy and on top of that, my artist/cousin Yung KK comes over my house uninvited or unexpectedly, for no reason without calling me, just to record his songs. I don’t mean to sound mean but the point is if you plan to come over my crib, please contact me first before coming over so I can know ahead of time. He lives around the corner but popping up anytime at my house without letting me know first really pisses me off, unless your my girlfriend than yeah but if not, no one should come over my house without contacting me.

Anyway, back to the topic…

I planning to shoot some videos this weekend. I’m gonna do a video from the 2 minute song off the “Go Hard Or Go Home” mixtape, which is by the way is my 2nd most downloaded mixtape ever, behind my 2nd mixtape I release last year, The Redprint. After I put out that video, I might do a video for tracks like “Sounds Like”, “Get Back” and everyone favorite love song “Q.K.O.F.”

So, Be expecting the mixtape titled song “Go Hard Or Go Home” music video sometime next week. That’s it for today!

Which One Will I Do The Most, Rapping Or Producing??

Ok, I think people is starting to get confused about what I do musically…

Some people think i’m just a rapper and some think i’m just a producer. On the other hand, I also have haters, I had people hear my music and they say I should stick to making beats, some people see me as both.

People don’t really know I started as an rap artist first. The beat-making thing came into play about 5 or 6 years afterwards. The reason why I make beats in the first place is because I didn’t want to buy beats, althoughI have a personal producer but half of the time, he don’t have time to make beats for me, so since I was experienced playing drums and musically into stuff, I decided to learn how to make beats and within 3 months. I knew how to create a hit but as the beatmaking thing with me, I wasn’t not trying to be a producer who wanted some shine, I just wanted to be a discreet self-producer because I didn’t want people to take me as a producer, but as good as I was making beats, I figured i’ll try to get a little of my beats out there, for only much needed money.

As an artist, I been doing longer than i been making beats. I’m more experienced at rapping, yeah I started a little rusty at first but I took some time to learn how to be better, all it took was criticism. That’s how I got a hit song on the radio. In the past, I was not lyrically the best, which is why I threw away all of my OLD music but now, I  take time to write ALL of my material, and cleaned up my music. I learned something from a friend…

“The music you write is not good to one person, but maybe be hot for another person, but no matter how your music comes out, keep writing because you never what might happen”

Anyway, the question is which will I be doing the most, rapping or making beats??

The Answer is: %30 making beats, 70% rapping

Why rapping the most, because like I said before, I started rapping when I was 13 and I wanna continue to do that. As for the beat-making side, I will produce them when I feel like it, for mostly myself or my artists, or when I want to sell them only for money. I don’t see a career for me as a famous beat-maker, unless it’s offered to me. Sounds a little shabby but don’t get me wrong, i like to make beats too but my main focus as an artist.

So, there’s your info. K.K.O.F. the talented underground Hip Hop artist!!

Old Songs from K.K.O.F.???

Okay, so check this out…

Last night when I logged on my YouTube account, I happen to see a comment on my YouTube page from a person who is supposedly a fan of me asking for an very OLD song that I did about 5 years ago. Personally, I never thought that people would ask for my old songs but i changed my name to K.K.O.F. for a reason, to start over on my music career in a new name.

Anyway… The guy said he listened to the song everyday and he requested me to upload that song, unfortunately, I had to tell the guy that I trashed ALL of my OLD King Kut songs. Why, because for one, the quailty wasn’t all that good, second, some of the old songs wasn’t that musically serious and third, none of old material was written, which made it not lyrically good.

So, if you’re looking for my OLD songs I did about 4 or 5 years ago, you won’t find them anywhere. All the songs that I recorded are in the name of K.K.O.F. now. All of the K.K.O.F. stuff has better quality because I got a professional studio microphone, a better mixing system, which is better than the one I was using and my new music is written and produced by me. I’m more lyrical than I ever been and I cleaned up my music, meaning that I stop cursing in my songs but besides doing regular rap music, I also do spiritual/christian song as well, because I rep the lord hard and I proved it by releasing a mixtape talking about him but it’s not just talk, it’s my life.

I had to trash them songs, I could’ve kept them but I didn’t no one would ask about them OLD songs, so I threw them away. Sorry…but I have new music for you to check out, download my newest mixtape “Go Hard Or Go Home”, by clicking HERE

INSIGHT INTO THE MIXTAPE:

Well, after making the last and final series of the Redprint mixtapes, I decided to end it with this mixtape called “Go Hard Or Go Home”, and also making a response mixtape to my non-selling debut album The King With Swagga. The Redprint was an OK mixtape but i kind of rush that mixtape, and I kinda felt that people was not feeling it like the last two RP mixtapes. While working on other stuff, I was thinking about my album TKWS, it had low sales and regret putting that album on itunes, i kinda worked hard on that album, the song Carbon Copyz from the album was the only song that was selling on Amazon but on the itunes side, the song Cookie Monster Man sold a few copys, which was an unserious song i made 5 years ago.

So after I analyzed the songs were not selling on iTunes and Amazon, I decided to put 4 of my songs from that album that I worked so hard on my the “Go Hard Or Go Home” mixtape, for free. The song from TKWS album were “Fresh”, Carbon Copyz”, “Life Without You” and “Go Hard Or Go Home”, I believe these songs deserve some notoriety and attention because like I said before, I really worked HARD on songs and I refuse to let them go to waste.

Also wasn’t gonna do put old songs on the mixtape but mix them up with some new material. I think this is one of my best mixtapes I ever made, because some of my life I put into these songs and the mixtape took me almost 2 months to finish. There’s a message in some of the tracks and this mixtape is something for everyone, like family, friends, the club, parties, etc…

All I got to say is that this mixtape should’ve been an album and I promise you will like this mixtape, if not, then you got to be a hater. This is my life into music and me exposing all the fakeness going on today. So please help me out by download the tape and enjoy!

K.K.O.F. – “Kutta 2 Tymez” music video!

Go Hard or Go Home Cover

This is the video to K.K.O.F.’s “Kutta 2 Tymez” music video!

Song available K.K.O.F.’s “Go Hard Or Go Home” mixtape, dropping April 18th!

Download “Get Ya Dance On”, off the Go Hard Or Go Home mixtape by clicking HERE

ABOUT THE SONG:

Hmmm, well, all i can say is that, this is one of my favorite song off my new mixtape “Go Hard Or Home”, which is dropping on April 19th. The song is a mini-parody of Gucci Mane’s “Gucci 2 Times” song. I call it a mini-parody because it’s 30% parody and 70% originally remade.

When I heard Gucci’s song, I thought that song was nuts, especially the hook, then I thought to myself, “what if I made a song called Kutta 2 Times”, I thought that would be dope. Even though Gucci’s song “Gucci 2 Times” came out in January, I couldn’t find the instrumental beat…

however,  2 months later, I found the instrumental on YouTube but didn’t have a download link and also, the beat was remade but it only had one verse. Gucci’s original song was produced by Waka Flocka’s bricksquad producer Southside. The remade beat on YouTube was produced by Jokaa (he doesn’t want any credit for the beat)..but you probably wanted to know how I got the remade beat.

I looked it up on google. I clicked on a site, played the beat and downloaded it.

That next day, I wrote to the beat and it took me 10 minutes to write the verse to the song, then went to recording the song afterwards. The song turned out pretty damn good. It’s a very catchy song as well.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

The video shooting wasn’t nothing fancy. I just shot anything. It ain’t really nothing much to say about the video. Basically, I was just trying to promote the song since I was bored. The fried pork chop got a little camera time :)

I got more music video/songs coming soon. Don’t forget, my new mixtape “Go Hard Or Go Home” dropping April 18th on this site and all mixtapes sites available. Download the mixtape single “Get Ya Dance On” by clicking HERE

New K.K.O.F. Mixtape “Go Hard Or Go Home” dropping April 18th!!

K.K.O.F. – “Go Hard Or Go Home” dropping April 18th – Free Download!

The King With Swagga himself breaks away from The Redprint mixtape series and digs a little deep on his upcoming project!

On May 9th, He will drop the new street album “Go Hard or Go Home” presented by the label he founded, Swagg Tyme Nation. The project offers 14 original tracks from K.K.O.F., with guest appearances from Jorge Fuenez, Sinima, C-Swagga (stage name is Da Christian Wit Swagga) and 50 Cent.

For the production, K.K.O.F. gained some of the sounds from Sinima Beats, Peanskean, BatMan and of course, himself.

K.K.O.F. also grabbed 4 of his favorite tracks (“Fresh”, “Carbon Copyz”, “Life Without You” and the mixtape titled song “Go Home or Go Home”) from his poor selling EP “The King With Swagga”, he also added “It’s No Secret” ft. 50 Cent from RP3 and “Nothin’ But The Truth” from his debut gospel rap mixtape “Ministry Music”. He felt like them songs wasn’t getting enough noiterity, but is trying again by giving them out for free!

Born raised in Atlanta, GA but currently living in Decatur, GA – Glenwood area. In 2009, he released his first mixtape “Still On My Grind” to test the waters, then in 2010, his song “Never Been A Lame”  from his 2nd mixtape “The Redprint” unexpectedly got an buzz and played on 3 radio stations in the U.S. and currently his most downloaded and listened song in his music career. As a follow-up, he released his second mixtape “The Redprint”, which is his most downloaded mixtape ever, then a couple of months later in the fall season, he came back from his 5 months hiatus and release his 3rd mixtape “The Redprint 2″, which shows his street swagga and loyalty, but then he did the unthinkable in late December 2010 by releasing a gospel spiritual rap mixtape called “Ministry Music” to show his appreciation and inspirational dedication to Jesus Christ…but it still didn’t stop there. In February 2011, he released his 5th and final mixtape of The Redprint series called “The Redprint 3″ to express his lyrical swag and shows why he’s multi-talented.

The Go Hard Or Go Home mixtape will be available April 18th on this site (www.KKOFmusic.com), datpiff, mixconnect, and other downloadable mixtape sites!

The songs on the project has a little of happy club tracks to inspirational and personal songs , and K.K.O.F. hopes that other people be inspired by his project and let everyone know that everybody has choices in life but at the same time, expose all frauds!

Quote from K.K.O.F.:

“Go Hard or Go Home means it’s decision-making time, it’s time to expose all the fakes and get rid of the dirty people. We gotta stand up because God is watching us, Life is too short for non-sense. Let your decision be the right decision and stop trying to be something you’re not”

Interview With Underground Media Writer Rena Moore

This interview was recorded on March 21, 2011, but the quality was very bad, so I wrote down our interview that we did on Monday.

Rena: I am Rena Moore and i’m here with underground rap artist K.K.O.F. – I want to thank you first of all for taking time out of your productive day to do this interview with me. How are you today?

Me: I’m doing well, i’m great.

Rena: Can you tell us what the initials of your name K.K.O.F. stands for?

Me: It stands for King Kutta On Fire, but for short, you can call me Kutta.

Rena: Ok, so what made you wanted to become a rap artist?

Me: Well, I started listening to rap artists in the industry back in the 90′s, like MC Hammer, Master P, Run-DMC and all those, but what really got me started was I was in elementary school doing plays and stuff, most of the play I had to rap on but once I did that, I kinda fell in love with it…and plus I was involved with music stuff and around a big musical environment.

Rena: When you first started rapping, did anyone doubt you because you wanted to rap?

Me: Oh yeah, my parents and some friends.

Rena: Ok, do they still doubt you up this day?

Me: No, I proved them wrong, my parents admitted that I had the skills and I was good!

Rena: Alright, so what kind of rap you do?

Me: I do street music, I do fast party music and sometimes gospel rap!

Rena: ok, so when you say street music, does it mean like gangsta type music or different?

Me: Naw, street music can be different music but my street music is not gangsta type at all. My street music is hard but clean but i used to curse in my music but i decided to stop.

Rena: How long have you been keeping your music clean?

Me: I been keeping my music clean about 2 years now.

Rena: What made you clean up your music?

Me: Well, I figured that if I kept cursing in my music, that people will think i’m a gangsta rapper and that’s not what I am, some of the rap out today here is kinda of fake and i’m not trying to fall in that category. I go hard in my music but i have to keep clean. I’m trying to be a positive trend setter in the underground rap scene. Most of my music is inspirational and motivational. I don’t talk about drugs, violence or degrade women. I talk about fun & life stuff over dirty south beats .

Rena: ok, speaking of beats, you’re also a producer right?

Me: Yes I am!

Rena: How did you get into making beats?

Me: Well, I started out playing drums for churches and after I learned how to play them real good, 3 years later, It took it a step further. I took a very long hiatus from playing the drums to learn how to make beats on a computer program called Fruity Loops. Once I learned how to make the beats on that program, I knew i was gonna take over!

Rena: ok, Have you produced some stuff for other artists, or artists in the industry?

Me: I produced some stuff for unsigned artists but I haven’t produced any for the big names yet!

Rena: Can you describe your musicial style, like give us a name from the industry of who you’re just like?

Me: I’m a combination of Gucci and Master P with a spiritual style of Snoop Dogg.

Rena: Ok, So you started your own label called Swagg Tyme Nation, how did this get started?

Me: I’m the CEO/Founder of Swagg Tyme Nation, it’s a underground independent music label I stared 2 years ago after I changed my name into K.K.O.F., it was formerly No Mercy Records, which me and my cousin started but things was not working out then but left him behind and started this label all by myself, spreading REAL music around the world, no fake stuff. I have a passion for the music and i’m addicted to it.

Rena: Ok, Do you mind me asking you what was your name before you changed it and why?

Me: My name was King Kut but the reason I changed my name because I felt like that name was the root of a gangsta and I had a very bad mouth in my past music, I said some things that I wasn’t supposed to say in the past, so I changed to K.K.O.F. – Everyone make changes in their life every once in a while, so my thing is, you only live once, so why change now and renew myself so people can see me as a positive person, not just a rapper.

Rena: Do you have some artists on your label?

Me: Yeah, I got this white rapper from the suburbs of Atlanta name Jorge Fuenez, he have came a long way and one of the biggest rappers we have in Swagg Tyme Nation, he is also the Vice President of the label. Also I got Hard Knox, who is currently temporary for the label, I got G.B. Carter and Brittany Black, she also owns another part of Swagg Tyme Nation called Swagg Tyme Nation Glamour Squad, which is a all female label under my label. Oh yeah, I also signed Jorge’s friend DJ Snoopbear, he’s a DJ, and I signed 2 personal producers that helped me with my music in the past, Batman On The Beat and J.J. Playboi.

Rena: Cool. So Do you have any projects out now and where we can find them?

Me: Yeah, right now I have 4 mixtapes out, I got my first mixtape i made two years ago a couple months after I started Swagg Tyme Nation called “Still On My Grind”, then my 2nd mixtape is “The Redprint”, then my 3rd mixtape is “The Redprint 2″ and turned around a dropped a 3rd installment called “The Redprint 3″. You can find those projects at my website www.KKOFmusic.com, Datpiff.com and where ever you see my mixtapes.

Rena: ok, I got to check those out…is there anything you’re working on now?

Me: Yeah, i’m currently working on a new mixtape called “Go Hard Or Go Home”, I believe this project will be better than all of my mixtapes i’ve put out. You gonna witness some lyrical swag, inspirational songs, dance/party songs and a little of my life. It set to drop in May. Also me and my STN crew is working on the STN mixtape, which i’m trying to put out sometime next month and more stuff to come.

Rena: Have you ever performed anywhere, like an event or somekind?

Me: Last night, I preformed at this place called The Redlight Cafe, but other than that, i haven’t performed live in any other places like that one!

Rena: Ok, I have to ask this question. Are you single?

Me: Yes I am!

Rena: (smiles) ok, ladies, he is single, come get him now. Alright, a couple more questions before you go. What do you like to do on your free time?

Me: I like to play video games, watch wrestling, spend some time with my little sister, but on my free time, I usually be  shooting hoops at the park, on the computer making beats, writing music, and recording in the studio. I don’t really do too much, i’m a laid back type guy.

Rena: Ok, let me ask you this. What is your most popular song you’ve made so far?

Me: I would have to say “Never Been A Lame” because it’s my most catchiest song ever. People be singing the song and it’s my most downloaded and listened song ever, not to mention that the music video has the most views of all of my videos!

Rena: One more question. If you wasn’t doing music, what would you be doing?

Me: Uh, I probably be working a 9 to 5 job or either doing something stupid in my life but thank God i’m not doing negative stuff. God gave the talent to do this music so I can stay out of the streets and jail, I thank him everyday for waking me up and letting me live another day because he didn’t really have to. I let God control me because he has a powerful around the world and no one is popular them him and no one will ever be. I live to serve him for the rest of my life.

Rena: Them inspirational words right there. Well, I want to thank you for your time to do this interview with me so we can get to know you. I wish you the best of luck and God bless you. Thank you.

THE END!

Yeah I did this interview at downtown at Ashby in Lee Wood Studios on Monday, March 21, 2011 at around 8am. It was a nice interview. Again, it was recorded but the quality was way too bad. Now my hands kinda hurt from typing all this stuff so i’m to dip. Holla at yall later. Peace.

K.K.O.F. Live Preformance @ The Redlight Cafe!

Video: K.K.O.F. performing @ The Redlight Cafe on 3/20/11

THE SHOW WAS A SUCCESS. Last night, I preformed for the first time at The Redlight Cafe, and man…that place was packed with people and it was love and support there. I also gave out copies of some of my music to people, but i also i had to wait an hour for me to get on stage because i was almost the last person on the list (which I was not), but at first, they told me they had me down at 8pm and i didn’t get to perform until around 9:15 because it was other artists performing so many songs. Also my artist Jorge Fuenez was the 1st one to perform.

Special Thanks to Afton Shows and The Redlight Cafe for booking me there and thanks to all the people who came to support me. Shoutout to Tino Panama for holding it down for all the artist at the event. Check the video.

K.K.O.F. Is Booked To A Show In March!

What’s up people, just wanted to let you know that i’m gonna be on stage preforming LIVE in March!

I recently got booked to a show here in Atlanta by a company called Afton, they find artists to book shows in the artist’s home city. I got an message on MySpace, usually I don’t be on MySpace like that but i’m glad I read the message and the rest is history, not only me but my artist Jorge Fuenez – He will be making his debut to the stage as well, (and for the record, he got booked because of me).

As for myself, I haven’t been on stage in 2 years. Now i’m super-excited because I been trying to find places to perform but thanks to my new booking rep from Afton, I will be booked to a shows, and more.

I will be preforming a couple songs from my album “The King With Swagga” and some of my newest material, but among all of this, I have a job to do until the day I perform live, which will be the hardest part. I have to sell online and physical tickets for my own show, since I agreed to the terms, if I don’t sell tickets, then I cannot get booked – Oh yeah, the tickets are really, REALLY cheap, it’s 5 times cheaper than popular artist concert tickets. Actually it’s the same price as the regular nightclubs but if you pay at the door, it will be $2 more.

Even though I gotta hard to sell these tickets, i’m glad that I get to showcase my music again, I will give you more details and show info next week when I get all info! God is so good!

K.K.O.F. & C-Swagga – “Tell The Truth” Music Video!

Today song insights is for the music video “Tell The Truth” by K.K.O.F. & C-Swagga

ABOUT THE SONG:

Wow, I don’t even know where to start on this one.

Well, it started on Facebook. My cousin C-Swagga (known as Da Christian Wit Swagga) wanted to do another song with me before he heads to Kansas City on February 19th, he’s going there to play on a AFL team if you’re wondering.

When he hit me up about teaming up to make another song, I was excited. He wanted to do a song about telling the truth, i was thinking the same thing because I was in the process of making a song about the truth being told but when I think about those things, I would write them, the problem for me was either I was more inspiration or I just had a minor writer’s block.  C-Swagga always gives me inspiration when I think about how to turn real life things into songs and on top of that, i been getting a lot of love and respect from other people since i did my “Ministry Music Vol. 1″ mixtape. I have also grown out of the regular rap thing and learned how to deliver a powerful messages in my music.

Anyway….I went through some of my beats on my hard drive and listened to them. It was two beats I liked but one of them sounded more simple than the other, which was also the two beats I made two years ago before I downloaded some beats kits. I wanted to go a little hard, so I went to my computer and started working on a beat. The first beat idea came in my head was a Lex Luger type beat. I can make a beat pattern exactly like but I put my own sound and tunes to the beat. After I made the beat, i was really amazed because I had challenge myself to make yet another banger. I thought to myself, “what better way to make a song about telling the truth with a hard beat”, yeah it’s hard!

As for the writing part, I didn’t get to writing the song until Friday night because I was in writer’s block. When I got back into writing mode, I knew what to write about. It took about an hour to write my part, I didn’t write a hook since C-Swagga already taken it so my part was easy.

The next day, which was yesterday, C-Swagga and his brother Mario came to my house, practice our verses and went to recording. I got to say that it was fun putting together this song, so the rest is history.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, on the same day, we didnt have anything planned for the video just yet but since we couldn’t do on green screen, we had to shoot the video outside my house. We did 3 shooting sections of the video: the first one with me, C-Swagga and is brother Mario, second single shot of C-Swagga and the last was my solo shot. The video editing time took me 7 hours, I kept taking break every 15 minutes. I love the quality of this somewhat bootleg video.

We knocked out the song and video in one day, how cool is that??

And that’s it. I want to give a shoutout to Mario (Hitman) and my cousin C-Swagga. We put together a SUPER-HARD song that has a powerful message and we believe that this song is gonna do big numbers. The song will be available for download real soon, depends how it goes in the near future. Enjoy the song/video and share it with your friends.

ABOUT THE SONG:

Well, there is not much to tell about this one but let me start from the way beginning and take to the end.

It was one night I was listening to Juicy J’s mixtape “Rubberband Business”, oh..in case you don’t who is Juicy J, he is one half of the award-winning rap duo Three 6 Mafia…anyway, as I was listening to the songs, which was all produced by Waka Flocka’s producer, Lex Luger (Waka Flocka is from Gucci Mane’s 1017 Bricksquad label, he own his half of 1017 Bricksquad called “Bricksquad Monopoly” and is also known for the song “Hard In The Paint”, “Oh Let’s Do It” and more – Lex Luger is the producer behind Rick Ross “BMF” song!) The beats he made on that mixtape inspired me to make something like it but even thought i can’t make beats exactly like his style, I know i can add a twist to my style of the music.

So I went to my computer and spent 45 minutes making a something like Lex Luger beat. The beat came out great, thanks to the various drum kits I downloaded about a year ago, then I listened to the beat, grabbed a pad and started writing. Oh Yeah, I arranged the beat for a 12 bar verses, it was supposed to be two but i figured it would just do good if I had one 12 verse.

I spent 20 minutes trying to come up with the lyrics, basically, i was mumbling words and the lyrics came to me, I decided to add some punchlines and metaphors in it, usually I don’t go for metaphors because it’s so hard with one that hasn’t been used but i told myself i need to have some lyrical swag, now you people will see why i’m so much more lyrical now. After I wrote the whole 12 bar verse, i needed a hook.

I’m not even lie, i’m good at coming up with hooks but on this one, I was struggling to find a good hook, so I gave up on that day. On the next day. I still was struggling, so I had no choice but to listen to some Gucci Mane, I almost listened to Waka Flocka… no offense Waka but i can’t listen to your music, no lyrical content and so much things is wrong with your music, sorry Flocka! I listen to Gucci Mane because even though he is considered a “Trap” rapper, he is only rapper besides T.I. that is lyrical, he says stuff I never heard in music before and for some of lyrics, it’s funny but did I find some inspiration for a hook listening to Gucci, NO I DIDN’T!!

At that point, I hit writer’s block… now i see why my music i did 7 years ago flopped at one point…Anyway…

So I had to wait a few days to get back in writing mode, after them few days, I finally came up with a great hook. The hook a some crazy punchlines in it and lyrical swag to it, I was so happy I got creative with that hook, I went to the lab and started recording. The recording session took me 10 minutes, which is my most quickest recording session ever. Regularly, it would take 15 to 30 minutes.

And that was pretty much it on the song. The song was not gonna be on RP3 but since I already leaked out a week before the mixtape dropped, I just went ahead and added the song to RP3.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

There is not much to tell about the video either…

Two weeks ago, I brought a Flip camera. BTW, I still have my DXG camera. The Flip camera costed $50 more than my DXG camera, but i wanted a more “convenient” one. The problem with my other camera was the batteries would run out really quick on it but it has outstanding quality, it makes my videos looks crisp and clear tho, that if you be around some good lighting, like outside in the sun or a somewhat well-lighted room. The bad about that camera is the built-in mic quality isn’t that good. The Flip built-in mic quality is great, i know because my artist Jorge Fuenez (@JorgeFuenez_STN) told me the funniest thing ever. He says that he recorded his previous mixtape with the Flip camera, I thought that was the most “bootleg” thing i ever heard. I laughed so hard…but for the record, he is bootleg, anyway…

I only used the Flip one time since I got it and since i haven’t use but once, I decided to shoot the video. Both scenes were shot in my room, in my new crib. BTW, I moved to a new house last week….

I was gonna do something crazy but the damn house is kinda small. I couldn’t hang my green screen anywhere, so now i’m back where I was before the two new music videos I recently released. It’s look like I won’t be doing no more green screen videos for a long time now, thanks to the small housing space.

After I shot the video, I edited the video. The total video editing time was 3 hours, because I kept taking 15 minute breaks, and that’s it.

I got some news: The next music video/song i’m dropping will not be from the RP3 mixtape but i’m making another collab with someone familiar, who you should know about. We are in the process of getting the song done by this weekend, we believe that this song will do numbers and will takeover the underground music scene. It’s gonna be hot. More details about that real soon but in the meantime, Get your own copy of “The Redprint 3″ mixtape today by click HERE to download it for free!
