K.K.O.F. Makes A “Lex Luger” Type Beat!

Yesterday, I was playing on Fruity Loops, techinally, making a beat for my artist for the new project he is currently working on and thought of an idea. Basically, I was listening to Juicy J (Three 6 Mafia member) and Lex Luger (Gucci Mane’s 1017 BrickSquad Producer) newest mixtape “Rubberband Business”, i’m not gonna front but it’s a great mixtape. Lex Luger produced all the beat on the mixtape and by listening to them inspired me to make a “Lex Luger” type beat.

I went to my Fruity Loops program and setup my instruments, but then I thought that I should record me making the beat. For all producers all there: record a video of yourself making instrumental beats on YouTube get you decent views and also proof of you being a producer, it can be good for a resume or somebody could be scouting for an unsigned producer and get you plenty opportunity to make some great money. It’s helps a lot, trust me.

So, in the video, I broke down every single step into the instrument into making the beat, and you can hear the final product at the end. Check out the video above!

Oh yeah, BTW: I will be doing a YouTube beat-making project real soon. I will tell you details about it later.

Beats Going On The Net Soon!!

Yo, what’s poppin’

I’m just letting yall that my beats will be on the internet for sale very soon. I found two sites were I can sell them. I should’ve did this way back but in August, I had to leave my job, so I have no money coming to me at the moment :(

My album is not getting enough sales, which is the reason why I’m not put anything else on iTunes until something happens. Basically, I’m trying to get some quick money but it’s not easy. The whole reason why I make beats is to make money, so people, if you don’t have no money, you get no beats from me. Not trying to sound mean or anything but I have quality beats and there worth getting paid for.

I have money coming in sometime January, once that comes in, I will post my beats on the net. If anyone wants some beats right now, contact at my new email rapkingkutta@gmail.com and I will give all the info about my beats and sending info there.

Oh yeah, I will putting snippets my newest beats on my www.YouTube.com/KKOFproductions page and I just opened another YouTube www.YouTube.com/KKOFONTHEBEAT page for them as well.

Well, that’s all I got for now. I got great things going on in the future.

Two Beats A Day!

I know people be thinking how I have the drive and energy to do all the things I do. They are also amazed of how focused I am with the passion of  this music. At my birthday party this past Saturday, October 9th, people was expressing my inspiration of my ability to do whatever I want to do and chasing for my dreams.

Well, some of this i’ve heard before but they’re right.

The main reason I like to do it is because I love it, not because of fame or money, which on the money i’m gonna need for the most part. I do this because I have a deep passion for it but I also do it because I get bored easy. I go looking for stuff to do, basically like I said before, I’m taking a long break from working at a job so I can clear my head and get the free time I deserve. Might sound weird but everything and everybody is not perfect.

Besides all outside the world, i’m a musician and a focused entertainer. This website is one of the reasons from keeping me bored, and promoting my music at that. I’m also working on building up on my label Swagg Tyme Nation and my artists of that label, as well as their projects.

These artist will be featured on this website in the near future and their project, I have one in selective i’m working on. I’m currently making beats for this artist of mine, he is from here in Georgia but he portray an bootleg mexican rapper from mexico but very funny. Kinda like a comedian with a rap style to it. His newest project will have the majority of my beats and my other artists will be on his project as well. That’s one of the things I do to keep from being bored.

The other thing I do is: work on music and shoot videos. No need to detail on this one.

Anyway, let me get to the point…Every since I left my job, I been doing my music but when all of that stuff is done, I have nothing to do. Besides making music and videos, I have decided to make 2 beats (instrumentals) a day, except the days when i’m too busy doing other stuff. I decided to do this is because I think that since my beats are good enough for hits for other artists, it’s better to be prepared, you never know when something happen. There is an opportunity of a lifetime might be coming soon, plus people are also watching your talent and every move. The move is to be prepared.

I have made hits for other underground artists and also the ones haven’t mentioned yet but I can make just or almost about a beat for any genre. My main genre is Hip Hop, the main genres I am really good at, I have proven that time and time again, and i’m learning other styles of how I can make a hip hop beat. Some of them might be simple and other might be advanced. I really like to challenge myself by doing advanced rap instrumentals. Right now, I got at least 20 to 30 beats that can be used on anything, like maybe TV shows, events or of course, music. Plus…in the process, it will make me some hard earned cash. Maybe someone might need a beat that fits a project and I can choose from the beat collection I have, which is a good way I can get paid. I will be looking forward to sell these beats as well.

I might as well do two beats a day since I have anything to do besides doing house chores or ride with my dad somewhere, after all that is done, I get bored. I could of did this while I was still working when my job was cutting my hours. I can have a catalogue of music for people to shop for.

My beats has gotten a lot of good feedback, so obviously, people know that I might can fit in right with the industry producer and i’m talented at that. I’m ready for success to hit my way and nothing will stop me from that. Either you have it or you don’t, if you don’t have it, you can learn to be successful with just the tools and you’re ready for that right opportunity to come your way, but that’s if you put your mind and energy into it.

New Beats Coming Soon!

Get my newest mixtape “Swagg Season” for free instantly by clicking HERE

What’s up my peoplez,

Well, I been on my music thing for a while but every since July 2010, I slacked up off the beats, which I have a legit reason why I did it. I slacked off the beats because the people of Paypal terminated my paypal account, which i’m still trying to understand why but I plan to make a new one as soon as I figure out a good promoting plan to sell my beats.

I have proven to have some great quality beats and I know how to remake certain artist beats. For example below:

Video Above: Non Juan’s (A.P.T.’s puppet character) “Erectile Dysfunction” parody of Snoop Dogg’s “Sensual Seduction” song (Produced By ME!)

As for my recent beats i’ve produced for others:

Song Above: Da Christian Wit Swagga “Can’t Sit Down” (my cousin, the person who I collaborated on the Swag Game song!)

If you would like see the rest of my music production a.k.a. my beatmaking skills, click HERE

So if you want a custom made or remake a beats for you, holla at me at via email kkofmusic@hotmail.com, my facebook page at www.Facebook.com/KKOFmusic or my Twitter @KKOF. My beats are affordable at a profitable price. If you want a hit song, buy a beat from me and you will get one.

In the meantime, my birthday is saturday meaning i’ll be turning 24 and i’m two birthday parties thrown on Friday and Saturday. Thursday, the busyness will begin. On the otherside of that, i’m working on getting my beats out to other artist, even the ones in the industry so I can make some money, been thinking about getting signed to a record deal as a producer as well. I have improved my beat-making and I always get good feedback from people about my beats. I believe that it will work for me in the long run and help me get rich, well…something like that!

So…I guess that what I can say for right now, and no, i’m NOT posting my beats on soundclick, having beats laying around on the internet doesn’t always work, you got to have a back up for that stuff, like sitting face to face with someone who willing to hear the beats. I will keep you posted about the beats. But for now, enjoy my mixtape Swagg Season and please share this link and this site to your friends.

and yes…I am on Facebook – www.Facebook.com/KKOFmusic

More Inspiration To Music!

This week, I been recoreding songs and I been in a somewhat song-writing mode but i’ve also been in beat-making mode as well. As for the beats, I been listening to different to artists and found some inspiration for making beats. I took a 3 week hiatus from making beats but now, i’m back to making them again.

Part of my inspiration is me producing for several artists, I don’t know if it’s the postive feedback  i”m getting or the beats I produced for them became hits but whatever it is, I been focused. I hate to brag and boast but i’m a beast on them beats, I GOT BEATS FOR DAYS, WEEKS AND YEARS!!

On the music side, I also found inspiration for my music, some of them is crazy but postive, I can actually take a bad songs and turn it into a good song, how crazy is that, or I can actually make a song that is very trancy-like and turn it into a rap song, well, that’s actually what I used to do a few years ago. All the music I make is gonna make your dance and have something that you can feel.

No wonder I love doing this music, this is what I have a passion for people!

That’s all I got to say for now, new music video coming next week and later that week, I have some exclusive news about my new music, stay tuned…

What’s Been Going On + Recent Updates!

Hello everyone, it’s me, K.K.O.F. (King K-Swagga On Fire),

I got to start blogging more often, but how could I. A little bit has changed since April but those who thought I was gone, well guess what, I’M BACK and I have not stopped making music, and i’m not gonna stop, that’s for sure!

In the meantime, I just wanted to give you a recent reviews of stuff been going on with me from my last music video and to the new stuff I had to do with, so here it goes…

Video #1: Turnt Up

Mini Music Video/Song Insight:

I made this beat back last year on a boring day. I was not in full rapping mode when I thought of this song, I have a tendency to play around in some songs, but I didn’t want to make the song sound bad, so I thought if I could make a positive song about things I did to make myself known and God, then it would be a good idea. For the video, it was shot in green screen, it was not clear because either the light was too close to the side or I didn’t have enough light in the backdrop, but I didn’t feel adjusting anything, so I left it as it is.

Video #2: Swag Game feat. Da Christian Wit Swagga

Mini Music Video/Song Insight:

This came together when I was on Facebook, I posted a status about something and my cousin Da Christian Wit Swagga (christian rap artist) asked me to send him a song to jump on, truthfully, I wasn’t expecting that but I knew eventually that I was gonna need him on a song with me, i’m kinda glad he requested it. I always wanted to work with him musically. So I went to my hard drive, pulled a beat, went to work on the song and sent him the beat, he sent it back with his verse that next day. Then he leaked it out before we even made the video. We was supposed to be in the video together for the song but he didn’t have time because he also play for the AFL (Arena Football League) – his name is Rico Reese and he played for…I forgot but later on, I asked him to send a footage of him mouthing the words to the song and from there, I edited it on my MAC for the first time, it came out great. This video was also in green screen but just for my part. The song got great reviews on Twitter & YouTube. Thanks C-Swagga!!

Video #3: Do My Thang

Mini Music Video/Song Insight:

Basically, one of my friends from school named Chris Wayne produced the beat, I was in his lab throwing it down. I kinda like this song. When it came to the video, I wanted to shoot it in green screen but due to my green poster paper being torn down off the wall, I shot it outside with 2 shots, one in my backyard and the other in my car porch. I also had a chain with an cross on it, so I decided to wear in the video, and at that point, I was already on a 45 day hiatus from music for a while.

Song #4: Up 2 No Good feat. Lil Cheezy

Mini Song Insight:

Not much to say but the same guy who produced “Do My Thang” name Chris Wayne also layed the beat down for this one as well. I didn’t really write this song but I thought of an crazy hook for the song. My friend Lil Cheezy wanted to jumped on the song, so I decided to send him to send him the song with an open 8 bars for him to lay his verse on and got it back within that day. I decided to put out a mixtape called “Never Been A Lame”, (inspired by my song I made back in March) just to tide the fans over until I put out some new product. I didn’t do a video for this one because I didn’t have time to, nor did Lil Cheezy.

Video #5: A.P.T. – No U Ain’t (Produced By ME!)

My Music Video/Production Insight:

In addition to making my own songs, i’m a producer as well. This song was made by A.P.T., the creator of the Obama Milli song. I produced quite a few songs for him, along with “Kate Gosselin Is A Bi**h”, “Imma Let You Finish” and others for his character he plays as Non Juan. Basically, I sent a folder contain a stack of beats I made to him and out of that folder, a total of 8 songs were used by him. After him coming from a hiatus from his music, he decided to get back into his music again since there were a few problems with his project. This song is called “No U Aint”, one of his recent songs off his new album “The Obama Milli Guy Strikes Back” and speaking from his perspective, some guys were promoting a shirt, and on that shirt, it had NO U AINT on it, so he decided to do a song about it. A few weeks, he sent me the song and I noticed that it was from a beat I made.

As for the video: This is not my music video but A.P.T. asked me to shoot a footage of me mouthing the words to the song since I produced the beat, which is fair. I wanted to do in green screen so bad, but threw all my green poster paper in the trash and I didn’t feel like putting back up on the wall, so I shot downstair in the den where my MAC computer is, I shot it with my camera and sent it off to him and the video was up on YouTube a week later. I didn’t get to see the video until the next day after he posted up because I had to work. Everything was in green screen except ME!!

So, that’s it in terms of my music video and productions. Right now I’m working on some new songs for my first album…in the meantime, The Redprint mixtape is available as a free download, as well as my new mini-mixtape “Never Been A Lame” – which can be found at this address: www.KKOFmusic.com/FreeMixtapes

I will talk to yall soon!!

The Inspiration To My Beat-Making!!

This is my 4 year making beats and the thing is, I learned how to make them in a short amount of time. When I first started making beats, they were uptempo or fast paced. Most of my first set of beats were into a pop form, because I was in that kind of mode. Before I was making beats, I was using other beats, the producers who I know personally. Three of the beat-makers went to school with me. Their names were Jack Chane, J.J. Playboy & Chris Wayne. These are the reason why I decided to pursued beat-making.

Jack Chane who real name is Chane Jackson is the cousin of the other producer who I just mentioned named Chris Wayne. He was my first ever personal producer. Basically, his beats had a very close comparison to Just Blaze and The Neptunes. The beats he made was hard knocking and had you dancing. He also produced my very first mixtape “The Beginning Of King Kut” in 2002. Plus, he produced 2 more of my mixtapes, can’t remember what I called them but every song is his was pretty much fast paced and danceable, that’s the kind songs that i’m good at making. So where is he now, well, we got into an argument shorty after my 19th birthday and pretty screwed me over for money. I haven’t heard from him since then.

J.J. Playboy, real name is Jason Peterson. I met him at middle school. I was freestyling outside one day and shorty after, he came up to me and ask me do I need beats. I told him that I needed some for my 4th mixtape. He told me that he can make beats and he would like me to listen to them. He sent some beats the next day and he listened to them. The beats he made blew my mind. He gave a CD with 14 beats on them. Some of them were fast-paced and some of them with that dirty south style to them, I wanted them beats. So I asked him on the next school day how much was the CD of beats he gave me, he said that he was not planning on selling them but he charge me only $10, so I payed him and I quickly recorded song off his beats. A year later, he gave another set of beats, so I used them too. The last time I seen him was in my junior year in high school before I had to transfer to another high school called Grady High. We lost contact with each other since then. He was a great beat-maker and maybe one day, I might bump into him somewhere in Atlanta.

Chris Wayne, real name is Christian Wayne  and the cousin of my former producer Jack Chane. I met him about 5 years ago when I perform at his sister’s birthday party, his sister was my ex-girlfriend. He started out as a fan of me, he would always speak to me and tell me how much he likes my music. He even freestyled for me once. We went to the same High School for 3 years and when I transferred, I didn’t see him until I moved into Decatur a year later after I graduated from high school. I happen to bump into at another venue where I was performing, he figured he’d keep up with me on the internet. 3 months later when I broke up with his sister, he contacted me on my email and ask me would I listen to his beats, I couldn’t turn that down. So I listened to them and his beats sound much different then his cousins, he was a beast on the piano. I told him I liked them and he gave me 6 beats for free. A month later, I collab on a song with him called “Them Girls Love Me“, he was putting together his first mixtape and I was gearing up for my 6th mixtape “No Pain, No Gain“. We performed the song in Riverdale at a pool party and the song became a hit. Every since then, we been putting out hits together until 2 years later, I learned how to make beats and at the time, he joined a rap group called The Young Riders. I haven’t heard from him since he joined the group, but then…I managed to bump to him in Kirkwood, my stomping ground. He had left the group and we talked. He recently just joined another unsigned rap group but we still talk to this day.

All of them people are the reason why I wanted to become my own producer. The thing is, they all are not in the same boat as me because I already got quite a buzz of me working with other artists. I produced more beats for artists than they did. I work hard each day to make sure my beats sound differently than others. My favorite genre in my profession of making beats are dirty south rap, as you can tell if you heard my songs or people who I produced song for. Like for example: A.P.T.’s upcoming song I produced for “No U Aint”, a very hype southern style beat at my best.

I also have a section on my site where you can find my production credits, but they’re not the only artists I produced songs for. Not only I can create dirty south beats, I can also remake a popular beat. As a matter of fact, I’ve remade a beat for A.P.T. puppet project Non Juan. I remade Snoop Dogg’s “Sensual Seduction” beat into a parody of Non Juan’s “Erectile Dysfunction” beat, sound almost just like it but if you listened closely, you will tell the difference. I have also remade 3 songs of Master P, which I have sold to other artists.

Now I feel like it’s my time to get recognized for my past works. I have also learned that if you give an popular artist a beats that you’ve made, it will get you attention and people will start to see that you have the skills of beat-making. The songs I produced for A.P.T. has been hits, so yeah, I make hits and I suggest that if you’re an artist who wants hits just like A.P.T., then you should give me a try and trust me, you WILL like my beats. I work so hard on them beats and it has payed off. Who said that you can’t be a rapper and make hot beats, NOTHING & NOBODY. Get with the beat-making movement of me, because i’m the #1 source for great beats with great sounds.
