Loud [Official Video]

This is the video for the song “Loud” (short version), regular version (featuring Yung KK & Meachy) is available on Kaptain Kutta’s “GameTight” mixtape.

Free Download – Click HERE to download the “GameTight” mixtape!

ABOUT THE SONG:

I made the beat during the summer because i was bored one day, and preparing for a new project at the time.  While I was making the beat, I came up with the hook and after freestyling a chorus for the beat (I always freestyle to the beats I make when it’s finished), I felt that I should make it a song. Also to say that this is one of my favorite songs off the “GameTight” mixtape.

So later that day, I wrote the song and it’s funny because I was writing a lot of punchlines and metaphors on the paper, usually I don’t do that in every line but it fits my mood and flow for the song. I think this is the only song I wrote the most punchlines and metaphors ever. I’m a statement and lyrical substance kinda guy but hey, that’s what everyone wants to hear.

The next after I recorded the song, I asked my cousin (who is also my artist) Yung KK to jump on it, and he agreed. His lyrics was not the best because he basically freestyle his verse, he’s much better when he writes, when he puts his mind into it. Then a week later, I was on facebook and one of my fans (who is also a rapper) named Meachy liked my songs, so he asked me could he get on a song with me, so I sent him the song, he did his thang on it and the song was done.

I also made a short version with my features just in case I was ready to shoot a video.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

I shot the video within an hour and the editing within an hour, so it wasn’t hard. Just wanted to do something simple for the video. Not nothing too fancy, just a quick edit.

And concludes the insight of the music video and song. Please support and download my music because I work so hard on it. Lookout for my new album dropping on the beginning of the new year.

Studio Session: Kaptain Kutta & Bossie Breed

Hey, what’s up yall. This past weekend, I just reunited with my lil bro Bossie Breed. I didn’t expect him from to come back anytime soon from Chicago because i thought he was living there but i’m happy he’s back and what’s so great about it, he is here to stay. A week ago, I released a mixtape EP called “Street Fever” with me and Bossie as a duo. Basically, the EP has all the songs we done this year (click HERE to download). Now we working on a 2nd LP “Street Fever Part 2″, and this time…with ALL NEW SONGS!

As we working on our new project, here is myself and Bossie Breed in the studio working on a new song called “Polo”, which is produced by ME. The song is most likely to end up on our  album “Street Fever 2″ or my upcoming EP, which both will be dropping next year. Watch the footage below!

New Mixtape: Kaptain Kutta & Bossie Breed – “Street Fever” (FREE DOWNLOAD!)

The new duo compilation album from Kaptain Kutta & Bossie Breed!

FREE DOWNLOAD: Click HERE to download!

ABOUT THE “STREET FEVER” MIXTAPE EP!

I put this mixtape together because I wanted to put together a collection of songs that me and Bossie Breed did together before he moved back to Chicago back in middle October, I also put this mixtape together to give to my fans so it would hold them over until my brand NEW mixtape EP i’m working on called “RED DREAM” drops. This is sort of like a “BEST OF” mixtape.

Basically, this mixtape was suppose to an album with brand new songs but I didn’t know Bossie Breed was gonna move back to his hometown so soon, so after I found out he moved back to the Chi, I figured he wasn’t coming back to Georgia no time soon so I just grabbed the songs we collabed on and made a mixtape. Most of these songs are from my “KuttaStyle” mixtape and also all of the songs from Bossie’s “Rocktown Kush Land” mixtape but there are also 4 NEW songs on this tape which is tracks 11, 16, 17 & 19… and also a couple songs from my artist/cousin Yung KK’s “From Ragz 2 Richez” mixtape which also made Bossie Breed’s mixtape.

After Bossie Breed left the state, Bossie told my cousin Yung KK he was possibly coming back to GA sometime in early 2012. Bossie is my artist from 848 Swagg Unit who I signed back in March. There will possibly more new music from Bossie Breed in the future but until then, bump this mixtape and lookout for my new mixtape “RED DREAM” dropping soon!

*Update* Bossie Breed is back in Atlanta and is now staying. He also agreed for us to do another mixtape together, so therefore, there will a “Street Fever Part 2″ mixtape in early 2012. We are already in the process of working on it as we speak. More info coming soon!

Fake Trapper [Official Video]

This video for the song “Fake Trapper”, available now on Kaptain Kutta’s “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” and “KuttaStyle” mixtape!

ABOUT THE SONG:

I’m going make the insights short because as of late, i been kinda lazy and now, i’m tired of typing a long insight to my videos, which i will also make an announcement regarding that in a few weeks.

The song is about these rapper trying to be “trap rapper”, just in case you don’t know what a trap rapper is, a trap rapper is a person who have experience on the streets selling drugs and rap about it. There is more to it. Most of the people thinks it is also about robbing and people who have weapons but that don’t define it.

Anyway, it’s some rappers that wannabe trap rappers, which is NOT talent at all, especially if you have no experience. These are rappers by example that does has experience at trapping: Gucci Mane, OJ Da Juiceman, Young Jeezy, T.I., Yo Gotti, Waka Flocka and more but there is also rappers who don’t have experience at that and yet talk about it in their music. There is a couple rappers I can name, like this person who got signed to a record deal at 17 when his dance song broke out, since then, he fell off after his 2nd album and his 3rd album poor sales proved that point. I’m not gonna say his name but now you see why people say Hip Hop is dead but since i’m a underground artist, I have nothing to do with that.

So… I had to make a song to let people know about these wannabe trap rappers, the original song has my artist Bossie Breed on it but you find that version on my 1st mixtape “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta”, you can also find the song without Bossie Breed on the “KuttaStyle” mixtape at www.KKOFmusic.com/freemixtapes. The beat was produced by me was 50% flipped from Waka Flocka’s Robot Rapper song.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

The video was another simple music viral video and no need to go thru with that.

That’s it for the insights. I’m dropping a mixtape Monday called “Street Fever”, it a duo mixtape by me and Bossie Breed. I put together the mixtape just to hold you over until my new official mixtape drops in the near future. More details coming soon. You can view the cover/artwork and track list at www.KKOFmusic.com/freemixtapes and will be dropping Monday, Dec. 5th at 2pm on HotNewHipHop.com – Check out the countdown here >>> http://www.hotnewhiphop.com/kaptain-kutta-street-fever-mixtape.36122.html

Believe In The Lord [Official Video]

This is the official video for Kaptain Kutta’s “Believe In The Lord” song!

ABOUT THE SONG:

As I was working on my first tape”The Year Of Kaptain Kutta”, I was searching for beats online for the tape, I saw a beat mixtape on datpiff.com by producer A 2da K and preview some of the beats and downloaded it. I wanted a short beat with only verse where I talk about believing in the lord, yet i found one.

So I wrote to the beat and got it written within 15 minutes and went to recording an hour later. Got finishing recording the song in 30 minutes, not bad. I wanted to make the song positive and have some meaning to the soft style beat. People might say that it’s just a song but I don’t record song just because i want to, I make songs like this because not too many rappers make these kind of songs, and believe it or not, this song came from the heart. Yeah I know the song is short but hey, I made my statement in 8 bars.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Once again, another simple video I put together and tried to make it as simple as I can. The cat in the video is my sister’s cat. I just felt putting him in the video and I also recording my scene mouthing the words to the song in my studio/den.

It took me about 45 minutes to edit the whole video but I didn’t put on YouTube till the next day… And that’s it!!

I’m on the grind making videos again. I got at least 8 video more dropping, whenever that is. I had to make this post a little short and fast because my internet getting cut off in a few hours. I just made a switch to a new cable and internet company, due to the ridiculous bill went up, smh. Trying to get something cheap. I don’t know how long it’s going to be off but in the meantime, check out my music on this site and follow me on Twitter: www.Twitter.com/KaptainKutta for my update, i’ll be tweeting from my phone.

If I Die Today [Official Video]

This is the video for Kaptain Kutta’s “If I Die Today” song, available on “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” mixtape! FREE DOWNLOAD Available now!

Click HERE to download “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” mixtape EP!

ABOUT THE SONG:

A month before I release my debut mix-EP, I was online searching for some beats because basically, I didn’t want to use all of my beats for this project. I wanted to be a little selective with songs I do.

So since I was so inspired, I decided to write a song about me dying on the last day i live and telling why I love the support of God. So far…I haven’t seen or heard any regular underground/unsigned rapper who does music about God, so if no one gonna do it, then I will. People might think i’m crazy for doing a song like this but every rapper can’t just talk about the same things, actually, I think at least some rapper should do a song about God every once in a while to show their appreciation and love for God!

I think this song should get me some love and respect because it’s from the heart and it’s deeper than just a song.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, this is my first video back since the “On My Mind” video in September. I took a break from the videos to focus on my 2 artists but now, I will have a lot of time to do videos because one of my artists moved back to his hometown Chicago and my other artist, which who is my cousin moved away from my area but he will be showing up at my studio every once in a while when he’s back in the hood.

Anyway, I shot all 3 scenes shots of me in my studio/den. I didn’t feel like going outside because it was kinda cold and also one of my leg on my tripod is broken so I couldn’t stand it up anywhere. I had to sit it against the chair with the two legs to make it stand up straight. I did one scene without my shades, which i shouldn’t did and a scene with my shades on. I also shot my scene on my MAC built in camera and after that, it was on to the editing.

I finished 80% of the video and then finished the final touches the next day…and that’s about it.

Be sure to share this video with your friends and tell them to get all 3 of my mixtapes “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta“, “KuttaStyle” and my newest mixtape “GameTight“, they are all FREE DOWNLOADS and they do not disappoint. More videos coming soon!

Kaptain Kutta Is Coming Back With Videos!

Hey everyone,

Well, I took a short break from shooting music videos because basically, I got lazy but also didn’t have enough time to shoot them. Now i got some down time.

I will be shooting videos for songs from “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” and “KuttaStyle” mixtapes, and my new upcoming release “GameTight” as well. Get ready for them. I should be dropping them in a few weeks. Just wanted to let yall know. THE GRIND OF KAPTAIN KUTTA CONTINUES!!

-Kaptain Kutta

Another New Mixtape Dropping + Mixtape Release Date!

What’s up yall!

Ok, so I was going thru some of tracks that I haven’t released yet, these tracks did not make my last 2 tapes because they were either unfinished or some were not mixed the way I wanted them to be. I recently had some down time to finish these tracks, and I also found a couple more tracks I did that were on other people’s mixtape as I was a song feature on. Although I was planning to release these tracks but did not plan to put out another mixtape, why, because I just dropped the “KuttaStyle” mixtape. So I said to myself, “why leave these tracks sitting around, might as well make a new tape with these tracks” and I decided to go with that idea.

Now i’m proud to announce my final mixtape/free album of 2011 is titled…..”GAMETIGHT” (mixtape artwork below!)

Pretty decent artwork huh, if you didn’t notice, I had this cover posted in the “FREE MIXTAPES” section of this site for about 2 months now. If you seen it, oh well, if you didn’t, well, here it is!

There another thing I have to announce, the release date of the tape. The mixtape will be dropping on…..HALLOWEEN!

I figure the name is awkward in a way but yet different than others, and my favorite word. I even made a saying with the word. “Gotta get your GameTight, Gotta get your game right, everyday, everynight, gotta have your gametight”, which means stay on your hustle, everyday and everynight – if you fail, learn from your mistakes and don’t let the haters win. I don’t know how it’s gonna do in views and downloads but hopefully, it will catch on to people when they see the mixtape title.

So as you know, this will be a free album/mixtape because i’m not at the level where I can sell it yet, and I don’t think I will ever be, so show your support and I will appreciate your love and effort. This is my final mixtape of the year and hopefully, it will keep you rocking until I release some new music in 2012.

GameTight drops October 31st!

The Long-Awaited & Delayed Mixtape “KuttaStyle” dropping October 3rd!

What it do yall,

Alright, so my first mixtape under my new name Kaptain Kutta called “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” gotten some downloads on different mixtape sites. 5 downloads on mixtapepass, 14 downloads on mixtapepage, and 17 downloads on the alternate zippyshare link…but the mixtape is missing on one mixtape site, Datpiff. The reason why it’s not on the site is because they website server was download a couple of weeks ago and it effected all the users on the site from uploading mixtapes. I don’t know when datpiff is going let the users upload their mixtapes again but I hope it don’t take long, depends if the site is properly fixed. So as of now, mixtape upload is disabled on that site.

Anyway, I already finished my 2nd mixtape called “KuttaStyle”, I announced this mixtape 2 months ago but I delayed the mixtape because I changed my stage name, I also replaced it with “TYOKK” mixtape. I was not planning to release it again but I thought about it. Here is the updated cover below:

I chose the title because of my name and my style of music, which makes KuttaStyle, creative ain’t it. The cover was the same way as it was the first time but this one has updated my name.

MIXTAPE INFO:

The tape has some new tracks and old tracks from last year, this year and the tracks that I had features from my artists mixtapes. Some old unheard tracks might new to you if ain’t heard my artist’s mixtapes, or my old ones before I changed my stage name.

There will be over 20 tracks on the mixtape including Outro giving out my contact info (no intro and interludes). I could do some interludes but I don’t want to. I wasn’t planning to put these much tracks on the tape but these tracks need to be heard, someway. This might be the only tape I put over 20 tracks on. This is my last mixtape of the year. Even tho I don’t have that much fans, I will keep putting out much music as I can to get heard.

And that’s about it. KuttaStyle will be dropping on October 3rd, Stay tuned for more!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you…

“The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” mixtape, FREE DOWNLOAD – click HERE to download!

ABOUT “THE YEAR OF KAPTAIN KUTTA” MIXTAPE:

Well, despite me changing my name to Kaptain Kutta, I decided to start all over on my music career. I have a new name, new attitude and new music, the reason why i changed my name in the first place is to keep doing music, and to be honest, i’m glad i changed my name, maybe it will be more catchy to someone when they hear my music. I was gonna wait till my birthday to change it but I figured 2 weeks ago is the time to do it. I changed my name 3 times now but I promise this is my final name change and it will not be changed anymore.

Anyway….

This mixtape was supposed to be under the title “KuttaStyle” but due to me changing my name, I gave another title. The former named mixtape had about 24 tracks but I decided to take about 9 of them off because I kept boasting my old name in them songs and left 14 new songs on the tape. My single “Bombay” is going crazy right now. There ain’t too much to explain about this mixtape but it does not disappoint. It got songs like for the parties, club, life and songs dedicated to God. All of these songs is straight from the heart and no fake stuff on there. If you sleep on this mixtape, then you continue to listen to the fake stuff for the rest of your life. This is a real mixtape with lyrical content and songs that make statements. Understand my passion people.

BosSie Breed & K.K.O.F. – “Gone On Rozay” [Prod. by K.K.O.F.]

I know i’m late but this song is for BosSie Breed’s “Gone On Rozay” song featuring and produced by K.K.O.F., which is also available on BosSie Breed debut mixtape “Boy From Da Rocktown”, dropping soon!

ABOUT THE SONG:

Me and Bossie was in the studio listening to some beats I made myself. I played 11 beats for him, all of them were between a trap beat and a club beat, he picked out the beat that was a club banger I made. So we wrote to the beat, I finished writing my 8 bars in 20 minutes while Bossie took almost an hour writing his 8 bar verse and the hook. After that, we recorded the song. The song is pretty catchy, I put his hook in autotune and it sounded great. It’s a great song for parties and just something to listen to when you feel like listening to something catchy.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Bossie asked me can he perform his song on camera, I was like, why not. So I got my tripod, set my flip camera on it and shot him mouthing the words to his song. I also shot my scene after he left. I didn’t wanna make the video like all my music video, I just made it simple and easy, and quick of course with a little effects and boom, it was done. I also added some footage of me and him fooling around on camera.

The song itself will be on Bossie Breed’s debut mixtape under the new label 848 Swagg Unit called “Boy From Da Rocktown”, executive produced by ME, dropping soon. It’s also a free download, click HERE to download the song.

ABOUT THE SONG:

Well, this all started when I was working on my artist Jorge Fuenez mixtape “The Contraband Man”, but even before that, I was bored one night, so I decided to make a beat, I wasn’t aware for what I was gonna use it for yet but I wanted to do a hype style beat, so I made one and it was hype to def.

I think it was about a week after I made the beat, I check my email and I got the verse vocals from Jorge Fuenez to mix with a song called “Humility” from his latest mixtape “The Contraband Man”, which is a classic mixtape by the way.

Than a couple weeks later as I was in the studio recording songs, I happen to go through my files in my hard drive and found the same beat I made a couple weeks back, so I was in recording mode, I wrote about 60% of the verses but didn’t have no hook yet, after I wrote the verses, I went ahead and recorded the verse I wrote and then after I recorded, I decided to go in my files and find a sample where I can place a chorus on the song. I listened to Jorge’s verse from Humility , I listened until I got to the last line of his verse, in his that line he said “I look sharp, I rock shutters, you can fight me, or you can box kutta”, I thought that was the tightest line I ever heard. BTW, Kutta is the 2nd “K” in my name K.K.O.F. (King Kutta On Fire), so I used as a hook because it kinda sounded like it could be a chorus for song. I named the song “Box Kutta”, yeah I know it’s crazy. Jorge had no idea I sampled his verse and made it in a hook but he liked it. I think he likes it when I sample his verses. Thanks Fueezy!!

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, we was supposed to do the video back in the beginning of the year but Jorge had school at the time and didn’t have time so I had to leave it alone for a while but I almost forgot about doing the video but i’m glad he reminded because I wanted to do the video so bad and I really like this song.

Since Jorge was finished with school, he went ahead and did some clips to the video. He sent me one clip but did two different scenes of his part where he mouthing his words, one shot was regular, which was toward the camera and the other one was him facing towards the side.

I ended up shooting my two clips 3 days after he sent his to me. One of my shot was in my backyard and the other shot was with me on all red with the Kanye West shades on. Oh, there’s also a shot where I was drinking Pepsi, haha, had to do something crazy.

It took me an hour and 47 minutes to edit this video. It was worth it. That’s all I got for now. Lookout for my new mixtape “Regeneration: The Hip Hop Recovery” dropping June 20th!

K.K.O.F. – Sounds Like Music Video

This is the video of K.K.O.F.’s song “Sounds Like” (Produced By K.K.O.F.)

Song available on K.K.O.F.’s mixtape “Go Hard Or Go Home”, Free Download, click HERE

ABOUT THE SONG:

Usually, I always explain step by step of how I came up with the song but on some real ish, I can’t remember all of how I come up with this song, I forgot when I recorded this song.

Since I can’t remember exactly how I come up with the song and when I come up with it, i’m just gonna go by what I do remember about it. Might not be much insight to the song.

All I know that I was going through some beats that was in my hard drive, I found one beat I wanted to make something boomin but inspirational song from, so I grabbed it and wrote it to it. I wanted to send a message to the rappers that if you a rapper, you don’t have to rap about trapper just to sound like a trap rapper, in case you don’t know what trap rap is, trap rap is negative music about drugs, violence and all that other non-sense. Imma keep it real, I listen to some of the trap music but not all of it, I listen to Gucci Mane (CEO of Bricksquad who made the hit songs “Lemonade”, “Wasted” and more!), who has recently calmed down on some of the trap rap but he also does non-trap rap, which is even better. All the other from Bricksquad is either wannabe trappers or just to hop on Gucci’s and Waka Flocka’s bandwagon. Speaking on Waka, he is signing all of these rappers that has no lyricism, that’s including himself as well but he said himself that he don’t care about lyrics, but one thing for certain, he is indeed a hitmaker, so I can’t front on that.

Anyway, back to the topic….

So the meaning of this song was to tell rap artists that you can use trap beats and make a great song, for me, it’s my specialty. I made a trap beat for my song “Never Been A Lame” and it became a hit song. It’s my most popular ever and i’m proud of what I did, but also to all artist who uses trap beats, be careful about the music you make because some listeners are closed minded, meaning that they will only listen to the beat instead of the whole song together.

For me, I like to put some lyricism and strong messages in trap beats because to me, all of that combines a hit. If the beat is not a catchy and dancey type song, it’s not a hit. Some rappers like to use other beats besides trap beats, but don’t get it twisted, I use other beats too, like pop, rock and jazz type beats but my style is mainly party/dance songs and inspiration catchy song over trap style beats. I had people send me beats that were so wack that I had to trash them. That’s why I have personal producers on my team, like Chris Wayne and JJ Playboi. Both of them has contributed and reached out to me in my music. They are also a part of my success as an artist today.

Dang, I keep going off topic. Oh well, you get the point of the song, I hope.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, you know i’m back with the bootleg videos, well…you should already know that by now….

For the video, I was planning to do 2 shots in the video but I ended up doing 3. The first two was in my backyard but in two different places, one was on side of my shed where I storage extra stuff and the other scene was next to the shed but at the end of the fence. My backyard is kinda big but not as big as the previous house on Snapfinger, which I moved out on September of last year

The last scene was in my room, I was not gonna shoot that scene but I was kinda bored so I shot it anyway. I kept kinda simple as always.

The total video editing time, 1 hour and 45 minutes at 1am in the morning, smh. I touched the video up with some effects and stuff. Should be good enough for now!

That’s it for now but in the meantime, enjoy this one and please share this video with your friends. More videos coming soon!
