This is the video for the song “Loud” (short version), regular version (featuring Yung KK & Meachy) is available on Kaptain Kutta’s “GameTight” mixtape.

ABOUT THE SONG:

I made the beat during the summer because i was bored one day, and preparing for a new project at the time.  While I was making the beat, I came up with the hook and after freestyling a chorus for the beat (I always freestyle to the beats I make when it’s finished), I felt that I should make it a song. Also to say that this is one of my favorite songs off the “GameTight” mixtape.

So later that day, I wrote the song and it’s funny because I was writing a lot of punchlines and metaphors on the paper, usually I don’t do that in every line but it fits my mood and flow for the song. I think this is the only song I wrote the most punchlines and metaphors ever. I’m a statement and lyrical substance kinda guy but hey, that’s what everyone wants to hear.

The next after I recorded the song, I asked my cousin (who is also my artist) Yung KK to jump on it, and he agreed. His lyrics was not the best because he basically freestyle his verse, he’s much better when he writes, when he puts his mind into it. Then a week later, I was on facebook and one of my fans (who is also a rapper) named Meachy liked my songs, so he asked me could he get on a song with me, so I sent him the song, he did his thang on it and the song was done.

I also made a short version with my features just in case I was ready to shoot a video.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

I shot the video within an hour and the editing within an hour, so it wasn’t hard. Just wanted to do something simple for the video. Not nothing too fancy, just a quick edit.

And concludes the insight of the music video and song. Please support and download my music because I work so hard on it. Lookout for my new album dropping on the beginning of the new year.

Believe In The Lord [Official Video]

This is the official video for Kaptain Kutta’s “Believe In The Lord” song!

ABOUT THE SONG:

As I was working on my first tape”The Year Of Kaptain Kutta”, I was searching for beats online for the tape, I saw a beat mixtape on datpiff.com by producer A 2da K and preview some of the beats and downloaded it. I wanted a short beat with only verse where I talk about believing in the lord, yet i found one.

So I wrote to the beat and got it written within 15 minutes and went to recording an hour later. Got finishing recording the song in 30 minutes, not bad. I wanted to make the song positive and have some meaning to the soft style beat. People might say that it’s just a song but I don’t record song just because i want to, I make songs like this because not too many rappers make these kind of songs, and believe it or not, this song came from the heart. Yeah I know the song is short but hey, I made my statement in 8 bars.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Once again, another simple video I put together and tried to make it as simple as I can. The cat in the video is my sister’s cat. I just felt putting him in the video and I also recording my scene mouthing the words to the song in my studio/den.

It took me about 45 minutes to edit the whole video but I didn’t put on YouTube till the next day… And that’s it!!

I’m on the grind making videos again. I got at least 8 video more dropping, whenever that is. I had to make this post a little short and fast because my internet getting cut off in a few hours. I just made a switch to a new cable and internet company, due to the ridiculous bill went up, smh. Trying to get something cheap. I don’t know how long it’s going to be off but in the meantime, check out my music on this site and follow me on Twitter: www.Twitter.com/KaptainKutta for my update, i’ll be tweeting from my phone.

This is the video for Kaptain Kutta’s “If I Die Today” song, available on “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” mixtape! FREE DOWNLOAD Available now!

Click HERE to download “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” mixtape EP!

ABOUT THE SONG:

A month before I release my debut mix-EP, I was online searching for some beats because basically, I didn’t want to use all of my beats for this project. I wanted to be a little selective with songs I do.

So since I was so inspired, I decided to write a song about me dying on the last day i live and telling why I love the support of God. So far…I haven’t seen or heard any regular underground/unsigned rapper who does music about God, so if no one gonna do it, then I will. People might think i’m crazy for doing a song like this but every rapper can’t just talk about the same things, actually, I think at least some rapper should do a song about God every once in a while to show their appreciation and love for God!

I think this song should get me some love and respect because it’s from the heart and it’s deeper than just a song.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, this is my first video back since the “On My Mind” video in September. I took a break from the videos to focus on my 2 artists but now, I will have a lot of time to do videos because one of my artists moved back to his hometown Chicago and my other artist, which who is my cousin moved away from my area but he will be showing up at my studio every once in a while when he’s back in the hood.

Anyway, I shot all 3 scenes shots of me in my studio/den. I didn’t feel like going outside because it was kinda cold and also one of my leg on my tripod is broken so I couldn’t stand it up anywhere. I had to sit it against the chair with the two legs to make it stand up straight. I did one scene without my shades, which i shouldn’t did and a scene with my shades on. I also shot my scene on my MAC built in camera and after that, it was on to the editing.

I finished 80% of the video and then finished the final touches the next day…and that’s about it.

Be sure to share this video with your friends and tell them to get all 3 of my mixtapes “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta“, “KuttaStyle” and my newest mixtape “GameTight“, they are all FREE DOWNLOADS and they do not disappoint. More videos coming soon!

Kaptain Kutta – “On My Mind” music video!

This is the video for the song “On My Mind” (Prod. by The Olympicks)

Available on Kaptain Kutta’s “The Year of Kaptain Kutta” mixtape EP, FREE DOWNLOAD – click HERE to download!

ABOUT THE SONG:

A couple of weeks ago before I changed my name, I was in my room watching TV and a hook popped up on the top of my head.

Later that day, I was gonna lay down the hook and write the verses later, but I didn’t have a beat.

I was gonna do a song off one of my beats but all of a sudden, i didn’t want to make a beat at the moment, so i searched on the net for some beats, sadly, i didn’t find nothing my style. I looked at several places like datpiff, most of the beats that were on the instrumental mixtapes on that site were wack, they sound too much like fruity loops and the quality was bad and diabolical . I was gonna go to soundclick but I didn’t want no beats from there.

One day, I was on Livemixtapes.com, which one of popular mixtape sites next to datpiff. I saw a mixtape that dropped, it was a instrumental mixtape by The Olympicks called “The beats that didn’t make Teflon Don”, which is beats that didn’t make Rick Ross’s latest album. I took a listen and the beats were good but I grabbed one beat off the mixtape.

A few days later, I went to work on the song called “On My Mind” to express things in a way I think. I would explain more but hopefully, you will get the point.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

It’s not much to say about the video, I tried to keep it sample as I can, I didn’t want to waste too much time editing it, so I just put in some effects and boom, there it is. I shot one clip of the video because basically, I was lazy. It took about almost an hour to finish but it’s not bad at all and that’s all.

I hope you all enjoy the video, despite me being under a new name. I got more 6 more videos i’m making for songs off “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” mixtape on the way. They won’t look too fancy but hey, they will work. Don’t forget to download your free copy of “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” mixtape, FREE DOWNLOAD – Click HERE to download!

K.K.O.F. – Box Kutta (feat. Jorge Fuenez) video!

This is the music video is for the song “Box Kutta” (feat. Jorge Fuenez)

Song available on K.K.O.F.’s “The Redprint 3″ mixtape

FREE DOWNLOAD – Click HERE to download mixtape

ABOUT THE SONG:

Well, this all started when I was working on my artist Jorge Fuenez mixtape “The Contraband Man”, but even before that, I was bored one night, so I decided to make a beat, I wasn’t aware for what I was gonna use it for yet but I wanted to do a hype style beat, so I made one and it was hype to def.

I think it was about a week after I made the beat, I check my email and I got the verse vocals from Jorge Fuenez to mix with a song called “Humility” from his latest mixtape “The Contraband Man”, which is a classic mixtape by the way.

Than a couple weeks later as I was in the studio recording songs, I happen to go through my files in my hard drive and found the same beat I made a couple weeks back, so I was in recording mode, I wrote about 60% of the verses but didn’t have no hook yet, after I wrote the verses, I went ahead and recorded the verse I wrote and then after I recorded, I decided to go in my files and find a sample where I can place a chorus on the song. I listened to Jorge’s verse from Humility , I listened until I got to the last line of his verse, in his that line he said “I look sharp, I rock shutters, you can fight me, or you can box kutta”, I thought that was the tightest line I ever heard. BTW, Kutta is the 2nd “K” in my name K.K.O.F. (King Kutta On Fire), so I used as a hook because it kinda sounded like it could be a chorus for song. I named the song “Box Kutta”, yeah I know it’s crazy. Jorge had no idea I sampled his verse and made it in a hook but he liked it. I think he likes it when I sample his verses. Thanks Fueezy!!

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, we was supposed to do the video back in the beginning of the year but Jorge had school at the time and didn’t have time so I had to leave it alone for a while but I almost forgot about doing the video but i’m glad he reminded because I wanted to do the video so bad and I really like this song.

Since Jorge was finished with school, he went ahead and did some clips to the video. He sent me one clip but did two different scenes of his part where he mouthing his words, one shot was regular, which was toward the camera and the other one was him facing towards the side.

I ended up shooting my two clips 3 days after he sent his to me. One of my shot was in my backyard and the other shot was with me on all red with the Kanye West shades on. Oh, there’s also a shot where I was drinking Pepsi, haha, had to do something crazy.

It took me an hour and 47 minutes to edit this video. It was worth it. That’s all I got for now. Lookout for my new mixtape “Regeneration: The Hip Hop Recovery” dropping June 20th!

K.K.O.F. – Go Hard Or Go Home Video!

This is the song for K.K.O.F.’s “Go Hard Or Go Home” music video!

Song available on this mixtape, click HERE to download for free!

ABOUT THE SONG:

Well, some of you may say that this song is familiar, but if you haven’t previewed or brought my album “The King With Swagga” then you have may not heard this song, which is why I decided to put the song on the mixtape.

It ain’t too much I can say or insight to give about the song but I made this song last year as the introduction for my album “The King With Swagga”, which is last year. Before I first attempted to record the song, I was gonna sell this beat with some help from a former business partner of mine but due to his non-loyalness, I didn’t get a chance to work with him at all. I gave him about 11 beats to help me sell but since that didn’t happen, I just went ahead and sold them myself except the beat itself. I had to bring this conversation up because they how to story started.

So I when ahead, took the beat, wrote to it and recorded the song. It didn’t take long to record it. After I record, I started to think the song was too short but that’s when I made up my mind that i’m gonna start making songs short like that. Why? because I don’t need 3 verse with 16 bars on each song I do. Personally and Musically, when I write a song, I run out of ideas on the 3rd 16 bar verse, so now I do 2 verses with 8 bars because it’s easier that way. I might do 16 bars every once in a while, if I feel like it.

And there it is….

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, the video was a bit simple prior to my previous video Kutta 2 Tymez. I don’t really do too much “over the top” type video no more so what I decided to do on this video was just make it simple as I could. Basically I was little lazy on shooting videos but I manage to make some when i’m bored!

I shot the video in my den in the house with my flip camera on my tripod. I did one scene with the camera titled up while I had to look directly down at the camera, and then the other scene was shot in the regular direction, which is straight. Shooting the video was pretty simple as I said before.

For editing the video, I just put some color effect with a little of iMovie effect with it. It took me about 15 to finish editing the video and there it is, it’s kinda bootleg but that’s the way some of my videos gonna be because sometimes, I get lazy or can’t do a “over the top” video, so it’s for your viewing pleasure and if it’s boring then i’m sorry for you.

I’ll be coming out with more music videos from the “Go Hard Or Go Home” mixtape. Download the mixtape above for FREE!

Go Hard or Go Home Cover

This is the video to K.K.O.F.’s “Kutta 2 Tymez” music video!

Song available K.K.O.F.’s “Go Hard Or Go Home” mixtape, dropping April 18th!

Download “Get Ya Dance On”, off the Go Hard Or Go Home mixtape by clicking HERE

ABOUT THE SONG:

Hmmm, well, all i can say is that, this is one of my favorite song off my new mixtape “Go Hard Or Home”, which is dropping on April 19th. The song is a mini-parody of Gucci Mane’s “Gucci 2 Times” song. I call it a mini-parody because it’s 30% parody and 70% originally remade.

When I heard Gucci’s song, I thought that song was nuts, especially the hook, then I thought to myself, “what if I made a song called Kutta 2 Times”, I thought that would be dope. Even though Gucci’s song “Gucci 2 Times” came out in January, I couldn’t find the instrumental beat…

however,  2 months later, I found the instrumental on YouTube but didn’t have a download link and also, the beat was remade but it only had one verse. Gucci’s original song was produced by Waka Flocka’s bricksquad producer Southside. The remade beat on YouTube was produced by Jokaa (he doesn’t want any credit for the beat)..but you probably wanted to know how I got the remade beat.

I looked it up on google. I clicked on a site, played the beat and downloaded it.

That next day, I wrote to the beat and it took me 10 minutes to write the verse to the song, then went to recording the song afterwards. The song turned out pretty damn good. It’s a very catchy song as well.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

The video shooting wasn’t nothing fancy. I just shot anything. It ain’t really nothing much to say about the video. Basically, I was just trying to promote the song since I was bored. The fried pork chop got a little camera time :)

I got more music video/songs coming soon. Don’t forget, my new mixtape “Go Hard Or Go Home” dropping April 18th on this site and all mixtapes sites available. Download the mixtape single “Get Ya Dance On” by clicking HERE

K.K.O.F. & C-Swagga – “Tell The Truth” Music Video!

Today song insights is for the music video “Tell The Truth” by K.K.O.F. & C-Swagga

ABOUT THE SONG:

Wow, I don’t even know where to start on this one.

Well, it started on Facebook. My cousin C-Swagga (known as Da Christian Wit Swagga) wanted to do another song with me before he heads to Kansas City on February 19th, he’s going there to play on a AFL team if you’re wondering.

When he hit me up about teaming up to make another song, I was excited. He wanted to do a song about telling the truth, i was thinking the same thing because I was in the process of making a song about the truth being told but when I think about those things, I would write them, the problem for me was either I was more inspiration or I just had a minor writer’s block.  C-Swagga always gives me inspiration when I think about how to turn real life things into songs and on top of that, i been getting a lot of love and respect from other people since i did my “Ministry Music Vol. 1″ mixtape. I have also grown out of the regular rap thing and learned how to deliver a powerful messages in my music.

Anyway….I went through some of my beats on my hard drive and listened to them. It was two beats I liked but one of them sounded more simple than the other, which was also the two beats I made two years ago before I downloaded some beats kits. I wanted to go a little hard, so I went to my computer and started working on a beat. The first beat idea came in my head was a Lex Luger type beat. I can make a beat pattern exactly like but I put my own sound and tunes to the beat. After I made the beat, i was really amazed because I had challenge myself to make yet another banger. I thought to myself, “what better way to make a song about telling the truth with a hard beat”, yeah it’s hard!

As for the writing part, I didn’t get to writing the song until Friday night because I was in writer’s block. When I got back into writing mode, I knew what to write about. It took about an hour to write my part, I didn’t write a hook since C-Swagga already taken it so my part was easy.

The next day, which was yesterday, C-Swagga and his brother Mario came to my house, practice our verses and went to recording. I got to say that it was fun putting together this song, so the rest is history.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, on the same day, we didnt have anything planned for the video just yet but since we couldn’t do on green screen, we had to shoot the video outside my house. We did 3 shooting sections of the video: the first one with me, C-Swagga and is brother Mario, second single shot of C-Swagga and the last was my solo shot. The video editing time took me 7 hours, I kept taking break every 15 minutes. I love the quality of this somewhat bootleg video.

We knocked out the song and video in one day, how cool is that??

And that’s it. I want to give a shoutout to Mario (Hitman) and my cousin C-Swagga. We put together a SUPER-HARD song that has a powerful message and we believe that this song is gonna do big numbers. The song will be available for download real soon, depends how it goes in the near future. Enjoy the song/video and share it with your friends.

K.K.O.F. – “Get Your Issue” Music Video!

This song is for K.K.O.F.’s “Get Your Issue” music video!

SONG AVAILABLE ON K.K.O.F.’s “THE REDPRINT 3″, Click HERE to download for free!

ABOUT THE SONG:

Well, there is not much to tell about this one but let me start from the way beginning and take to the end.

It was one night I was listening to Juicy J’s mixtape “Rubberband Business”, oh..in case you don’t who is Juicy J, he is one half of the award-winning rap duo Three 6 Mafia…anyway, as I was listening to the songs, which was all produced by Waka Flocka’s producer, Lex Luger (Waka Flocka is from Gucci Mane’s 1017 Bricksquad label, he own his half of 1017 Bricksquad called “Bricksquad Monopoly” and is also known for the song “Hard In The Paint”, “Oh Let’s Do It” and more – Lex Luger is the producer behind Rick Ross “BMF” song!) The beats he made on that mixtape inspired me to make something like it but even thought i can’t make beats exactly like his style, I know i can add a twist to my style of the music.

So I went to my computer and spent 45 minutes making a something like Lex Luger beat. The beat came out great, thanks to the various drum kits I downloaded about a year ago, then I listened to the beat, grabbed a pad and started writing. Oh Yeah, I arranged the beat for a 12 bar verses, it was supposed to be two but i figured it would just do good if I had one 12 verse.

I spent 20 minutes trying to come up with the lyrics, basically, i was mumbling words and the lyrics came to me, I decided to add some punchlines and metaphors in it, usually I don’t go for metaphors because it’s so hard with one that hasn’t been used but i told myself i need to have some lyrical swag, now you people will see why i’m so much more lyrical now. After I wrote the whole 12 bar verse, i needed a hook.

I’m not even lie, i’m good at coming up with hooks but on this one, I was struggling to find a good hook, so I gave up on that day. On the next day. I still was struggling, so I had no choice but to listen to some Gucci Mane, I almost listened to Waka Flocka… no offense Waka but i can’t listen to your music, no lyrical content and so much things is wrong with your music, sorry Flocka! I listen to Gucci Mane because even though he is considered a “Trap” rapper, he is only rapper besides T.I. that is lyrical, he says stuff I never heard in music before and for some of lyrics, it’s funny but did I find some inspiration for a hook listening to Gucci, NO I DIDN’T!!

At that point, I hit writer’s block… now i see why my music i did 7 years ago flopped at one point…Anyway…

So I had to wait a few days to get back in writing mode, after them few days, I finally came up with a great hook. The hook a some crazy punchlines in it and lyrical swag to it, I was so happy I got creative with that hook, I went to the lab and started recording. The recording session took me 10 minutes, which is my most quickest recording session ever. Regularly, it would take 15 to 30 minutes.

And that was pretty much it on the song. The song was not gonna be on RP3 but since I already leaked out a week before the mixtape dropped, I just went ahead and added the song to RP3.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

There is not much to tell about the video either…

Two weeks ago, I brought a Flip camera. BTW, I still have my DXG camera. The Flip camera costed $50 more than my DXG camera, but i wanted a more “convenient” one. The problem with my other camera was the batteries would run out really quick on it but it has outstanding quality, it makes my videos looks crisp and clear tho, that if you be around some good lighting, like outside in the sun or a somewhat well-lighted room. The bad about that camera is the built-in mic quality isn’t that good. The Flip built-in mic quality is great, i know because my artist Jorge Fuenez (@JorgeFuenez_STN) told me the funniest thing ever. He says that he recorded his previous mixtape with the Flip camera, I thought that was the most “bootleg” thing i ever heard. I laughed so hard…but for the record, he is bootleg, anyway…

I only used the Flip one time since I got it and since i haven’t use but once, I decided to shoot the video. Both scenes were shot in my room, in my new crib. BTW, I moved to a new house last week….

I was gonna do something crazy but the damn house is kinda small. I couldn’t hang my green screen anywhere, so now i’m back where I was before the two new music videos I recently released. It’s look like I won’t be doing no more green screen videos for a long time now, thanks to the small housing space.

After I shot the video, I edited the video. The total video editing time was 3 hours, because I kept taking 15 minute breaks, and that’s it.

I got some news: The next music video/song i’m dropping will not be from the RP3 mixtape but i’m making another collab with someone familiar, who you should know about. We are in the process of getting the song done by this weekend, we believe that this song will do numbers and will takeover the underground music scene. It’s gonna be hot. More details about that real soon but in the meantime, Get your own copy of “The Redprint 3″ mixtape today by click HERE to download it for free!

K.K.O.F. – “God Over Everything” (Young Jeezy’s “All White Everything” Spiritual Parody) Music Video!

This music video is from K.K.O.F. “God Over Everything” (“All White Everything” Spiritual Mini-Parody)

SONG AVAILABLE ON K.K.O.F.’s “MINISTRY MUSIC VOL. 1″ MIXTAPE EP, Clck HERE to download.

ABOUT THE SONG:

While I was recording and putting songs together for my album “Ministry Music Vol. 1″, I was looking to turn a song into an spiritual parody. There was some songs that I wanted to parody I could not turn into spiritual parody, like Slim Dunkin’s “Twitter That”, Soulja Boy’s “Speakers Going Hammer”, Nicki Minaj’s “Moment 4 Life” and more. It’s actually hard trying to turn a regular song into a spiritual parody than just doing a regular spoof parody.

This was around when I released my previous mixtape “Swagg Season”, which was early October 2010. Basically, my ministry mixtape is not full of spiritual parodies, so I was not really trying to do too much of parodies, but I did knock my first spiritual parody song “OH LET’S DO IT”, which is the exact same title for Waka Flocka’s song, that song was very easy to write a parody to.

Let me tell how this song came about…

I was on Twitter chatting with my Jorge Fuenez and Supaman when all of a sudden, I started listening to Young Jeezy’s “All White Everything” song. I think the song came out around August or September but then I was on livemixtapes.com and I found Young Jeezy’s mixtape “The Last Laugh” and I downloaded it. I didn’t listen to the whole mixtape but except just 3 songs on it. One out of them 3 songs were “All White Everything” , it was another song I liked on the mixtape but I couldn’t find the instrumental to it, however, I found an instrumental to “All White Everything” but it was produced by someone else. I figured since it sound just like it, I decided to use it.

I didn’t know what I was gonna use for yet so it was just sitting around for a few days and BOOM, I thought of an song idea. Since I was in “Jesus Christ” mode, my song idea for the hook was “God Over Everything”, basically, I used everytime Jeezy says “white”, I replaced it with “God” and that’s when new ideas popped up in my head. I kinda knew this was a great idea for a christian rap song, and on top of that, it’s positive.

Writing the song wasn’t that hard but it took me half an hour to finish it. I didn’t have anything else to do so I used my time for writing songs. Right after I wrote the song, I recorded. The record process actually took me 30 minutes, the longest recording session ever in my life. It took me that long because I kept messing up while recording. Every artist goes through that process but I was determined to finish the song. Plus on top of that, I had to recording the hook, 3 stack vocals for the hook, and maybe two stack vocals for the verse.

I only did one verse because I was kinda lazy, I can’t lie on that one but at the same time, I wanted the song to be a little short, I don’t make songs long like I use to.

I let my friends SupaMan (my artist from Swagg Tyme Nation) and Brittany Black took a listen and they loved the song. It was crunk to them. I’m glad I was creative on this song because this song is spiritual enough to get people closer to God.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

The video was basic but a little different. Didn’t really have a idea for the video, So I just stuck to the original idea.

I shot two green screen shots of me on the green screen. One of them was me with my “Ministry Music Vol. 1″ mixtape cover in the background, the other one was a gray-ish wall looking type background.

The shots came out alright but spots were on the side with the MM Vol.1 cover, because it’s not enough light of either side but also I didn’t have that much room to shoot because if I stand too close to the screen my shadow will show, which it did on the second shot but I figured out how to get rid of it.

I decided to shoot some scene from outside because I just didn’t want them two shots of me in the video. A few weeks ago, it was snowing here in Decatur, so I stepped out in the freezing cold and shot just the sky first, then shot a little bit of the snow, the snow was kinda melting because it was a few days later when it stopped snowing here. I also shot the dog, his name is Roscoe by the way. I caught standing there but usually, he’s a very wild dog. I’m kinda surprised that he didn’t try to run up and jump on me but sometimes, he will stand there because my dad usually gives him whoopins for hardheaded, yes he is that wild.

…and that was the ending of all the video shooting.

So after at that shooting, I took my time to edit the video. I actually shot the video two weeks ago and started editing the video 3 days later but I didn’t spend all day editing the video, I actually edited 30% of the video everyday until I was finished. I basically finished editing the video this morning and it turned out great. Might not be the best videos but it’s different than others.

And that’s it.

I’m gonna starting including Roscoe in my video because he loves his camera. My next video is gonna be “Live By The Lord” but this time, the video is gonna have a movie type music video. I’m gonna be a little creative on this one. It might take me a while because i’m moving in a few weeks, again… Yep, i’m excited about moving from the place I stay but at the same time, I hate moving. I will explain about that later but in the meantime, share this music video with your friends. Enjoy!

More Ministry Music Videos On The Way!

Alright, I’m kinda doing regular music on the side, as I always been doing but as you seen lately that I I been also been doing a little Ministry music. When it comes to the spiritual Christian hip hop videos, they just look original with a little twist, but I also I gotta keep it in that term.

With my debut ministry mixtape “Ministry Music Vol. 1″, I was able to catch some people’s attention, some people wasn’t expecting me doing this kind of music. I had some major inspiration for this project. For the record, i’m not taking these songs and putting them in God’s name, these songs is based on real life and bringing people to God.

A few weeks ago, I released a song/video called “Nothin’ But The Truth” from the “Ministry Music Vol.1″ mixtape, it’s doing pretty good numbers right now and i’m proud of what i’m doing.  I earned a lot of love from that video. I will continue to make ministry rap songs.

Speaking of ministry videos, one of them from “Ministry Music Vol. 1″ mixtape  will be up sometime this week. The video or song not that long but it’s also a parody of a recent Young Jeezy song. I will explain why the song is kinda short when the video comes out. The video itself should be out sometime late this week, I just starting to edit it, plus i’m working on more ministry videos, so be on the lookout for it.

That’s it for now!!

ABOUT THE SONG:

This song came into mind when I was recording songs for my last mixtape “The Redprint 2″, one of my old friends I met up with one day suggested me an song idea for a song.

I was thinking and hoping that he wouldn’t tell me anything that I would not do, so I got a little suspicious about what he was about to tell me. Usually, when someone tells me that they have a song idea for me, I reject them because either they were stupid or not worth making a song about, but I listened to his idea and guess what???

The idea was great…

He didn’t really stretch out the idea for a whole song but I knew what to write about. That idea sounded good because he said “make a valid statement song but keep it inspirational”,  that had inspired very quickly.

So I went home and studied how i’m gonna make this idea into a song but I didn’t have a beat to write to. I looked in my hard drive for some beats I made but some of them were either unfinished or was gonna be used, I was also thinking making a beat but I didn’t feel going through beat ideas, so I just wrote a little bit more of the song idea and just left it alone.

The next day, I was bored, so I was about to attempt to make a beat when all of a sudden, I get text from Facebook, it was from a friend I used to go to school with way back, his name was Brandon Flexie but he is most known by his nickname Batman. I logged on Facebook and I happened to see him on chat, so I chatted with him to catch on some stuff since we haven’t seen each since middle school.

While on chat, he told me that he was trying to showcase his beat by giving away free beats, he asked me is i’m interested in listening to them, I replied yes and told him to send them to my email. I listened to the 5 beats he sent me and most of his beats sounded almost like Lex Luger beats (Gucci Mane’s Label Bricksquad Producer). I liked all of them, and he told I can have them.

So I listen to beat #4 and all of a sudden, I thought of the idea of the song I was gonna write and it fit with the beat, so I took my pad, pen and wrote to the song. It took about 15 minutes to write the song. After that, I recorded it.

I named the song “Nothin’ But The Truth” because it was based on life and spreading the message about God and rappers faking the deal. Thinking about the reality of these celebrities life is really fake, yeah they famous but they don’t have the stuff they say they have. I also had to throw in my life in christ life. The song itself is expressing how some things can be real and fake, if it’s fake, God will expose the fake.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, shooting the video was simple. I had switches shirts, standing in front of my green screen, then throw in some pics. I only recorded two shot but there 2 backgrounds in each shot. They will turn differently on the second verse of the song.

I also realized that my green screen videos gets more views on YouTube then my non-green screen videos. The screen shots are not perfect but good enough. You may see some glitterly stuff on the shot where i’m wearing my red shirt but didn’t really know how to key that out, I will figure it out next time.

Besides, this is my first green screen video since “Swag Game”, which was about 8 months ago and my first video since September 2010.

Pointers of the video making:

I had to find some pics that would fit into my video. Basically, I just throw in some pics. All of them is pics with cross on them because it’s a spiritual song.

The total of putting this video together, 2 days. Reason for that was, I was kinda doing other things, so I had to edit half of the video one day and then try again the next day. Plus, my sister be hogging up my MAC all the time and never wants to share, she forgot that I own this MAC and I can ban her from it if she don’t share.

The video shoot was about 15 to 20 minutes and I did it all in one take because I was too lazy to shoot again. I hate shooting and editing videos but I love how the product comes out.

And that’s all the insights for now. I got more videos coming sooner than you think. So, enjoy the music video and I will see yall later, peace.

-K.K.O.F.

Where Are The Music Videos??

Okay, So some of you have been asking me about the music videos…

I haven’t posted up a music videos since September. The reason I stopped is because of moving situations and after I moved in, I didn’t want to shoot a video inside the new house because basically, I missed shooting my videos on green screen, I didn’t want to keep shooting the same house shots over and over again.

I realized that my green screen music videos gets me views YouTube. I tried to get the lighting stuff for the fabric green screen but at the time, I didn’t have enough time to get it, so I had to wait 4 long months to get it.

When I first did my first ever green screen videos, I used green poster paper with 8 ceiling fan lights and 3 lamps. I only shot 3 videos with that equipment and it came out pretty good. Now I got the fabric screen and gotten the bright work lights, which is good enough for me, I can now make the videos how I want to make them.

The music videos will be up soon, I promise to post up a new K.K.O.F. music video sometime in January 2011, as a matter of fact, i’m gonna shoot one song off the upcoming mixtape dropping December 30th.

So, That’s all. Peace!

-K.K.O.F.

Will There Be More Videos?!?

Well, I’m been kinda taking my time videos putting out my videos as you people could see. Back last year when I was doing the “Music Video Monday Project”, I had to think of a idea, which was mostly lazy ones, spend hours editing the video and post them on YouTube but even though I didn’t complete the project, I still managed to almost finished to project, but also, it was a waste of time because I wasn’t getting any views and didn’t have enough following, every one of them videos I made couldn’t get past 100 views, most stayed at 60 views but on the bright side, I was kinda happy that I finished with 45 but my goal was to get to 50. I have to say that the project drained me out.

Every since then, I took a hiatus to time time to build up a following to my videos and stepping up my game in my music. Two months later when the project ended, I made me a new YouTube channel and I put out a new videos. Later on to early this year, I got more hits on my newest videos than last year. I found more time to put out songs that was worth making video for, them type of songs gotten me more hits. For example: “Never Been A Lame”, “Swag Game” and “Fresh!”

But…the “Never Been A Lame” and the “Swag Game” song was the only video that was kinda impressive while “Fresh” was not really tempting. The “Never Been A Lame” video is the only music video that has over 1,oo0 views, but all of the other videos has not made it there yet. It’s obvious that is takes a famous or more popular person to get that much hits. Even though my videos doesn’t get big hits, they always get past 200 so i’m happy with that.

The majority of videos i’ve made were mostly from the purpose of my music, none of them are flashy at all. I know how to edit the videos but shooting the videos is something I worry about, some of them might be boring and some of them is entertaining.

I been also getting a few requests from people who wants to pay me to direct and edit videos for them. I make my video services affordable to them. Maybe I could get a job directing and shooting video services.

As for as the videos, well, I only shot three high budget music videos and the rest was low budget bootleg videos but i’m trying to get back to the impressive videos as soon I figure out a plan for the future videos i’ll be shooting. I got an good HD camera and “good enough but can be better” editing software.

I’ll probably make a couple of videos in a few months, if I get the equipment I really need for to shoot the high budget videos. It’s really gonna take me a lot of time to get the money for it but until then, we just have to see what happens…

-K.K.O.F.

Is There Gonna Be More Videos??

Well…First off, in case you didn’t know, my newest music video “Carbon Copyz” is playing now on YouTube.

To answer your question, I really don’t know but probably not. I wanted to do some more videos for songs from my recent mixtape I just released “Swagg Season” but now every since I moved to my new house, i’m running out of ideas or places to shoot my videos. That’s where my green screen supposed to come in.

You probably asking this question: Why you’re not using your green screen on videos lately?

Well…Because I don’t have the right amount of lights for the green screen. I was gonna order lights from tubetape.com before I left my job but I didn’t get a chance to. The last time I used green screen videos was when I shot the “Swag Game” video, which I used green poster paper for that video then I got the real green screen. I tried to shoot with my new green screen on the “Fresh” video but it didn’t work because I needed more light. I used 4 lamps and ceiling fan light, which I thought was well lighted but it didn’t work, so I gave up on the green screen for a while until I was get a chance to get it. I been trying to make it a priority but money comes and goes.

It might take a while before I do green screen videos again, right now, I don’t have a job or don’t really have the money to get it. Right now, i’m on a job hiatus and not ready to go back to working yet. This is why i’m going back to the beats so I can sell them and make some money. I hate to go asking my mom and grandma for money but after, they did tell me that they will try to get anything I need, well…not anything expensive at least. My birthday is coming up so if i’m lucky, I might get some birthday money, I hoping and praying I get the money somehow.

As for now, you probably won’t see any videos from me for a while, unless I think of another idea without using the green screen. If you want to contribute to this cause, please get my album “The King With Swagga” on iTunes now, click HERE to get it.

In the meantime, check out my newest mixtape “Swagg Season” by downloading it for free, click HERE to download it for free. I’ll be working on selling my beats. Oh yeah, I know on the last blog I said that I wasn’t gonna put my beats on soundclick but someone saw the blog and convinced me to put them on there. I found out how much money I could possibly make off my beats, but I won’t discuss it here.

That’s all I got for now, I got to get ready for my birthday party on Saturday, holla!!

K.K.O.F. – “Carbon Copyz” Music Video!

This video is for K.K.O.F.’s song “Carbon Copyz” (Produced By K.K.O.F.), to download this song, click HERE

ABOUT THE SONG:

Not much to say about the song but basically, I had the beat for a long while, the beat was just laying around, but then when I was listening to the beat, I thought of someone who I didn’t like way back from high school who would do the exact things I would do, he had the same government name I have, which is by the way my real name is Adrian and yadda yadda yadda. Later I wrote the song and got to recording the song.

Then afterwards, I had got done finishing my album “The King With Swagga”. I thought since I didn’t have no new music coming out, I can put the song out as a new song and to promote my album. Days later, I had already posted the song. The itself was not planned to be on the album but due an unfinished song I had no time to finish, I had to replace the song. The concept of the song is me attacking the copy cats. Simple enough well put!!

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

I had another thing plan for video but I was kinda too lazy to do it, so I just did two plain shots of me mouthing the words. They the same shots but slight different, one shot is without my shades and the other one is with my shades. I shot them in my room. I wish I could shoot on my green screen but I couldn’t because I need lights, I can’t shoot my green screen without my lights or it will not work.  I also don’t have a lot a place to shoot my videos because I moved into another house.

As for the rest of the video, I looked up some pictures that I had the words “Carbon Copy” or things in that nature and included them in the video. The editing time for the video took me 2 hours.

This is probably gonna be the last song I do a video from “The King With Swagga” album. You probably won’t see videos from me for a while until I get lights for my green screen, which will probably take a long while because I don’t have a job at the moment, at the same time, i’m taking a hiatus from working at a job for a while but the only way to get me to do videos on the fly, it’s up to you, I say that to say for you to please, get my album “The King With Swagga” on iTunes by clicking HERE

That’s all I have for now. Oh yeah, check out my first album review ever for Gucci Mane’s “The Appeal” album here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuXLHcq5JqA

K.K.O.F. – “Swag Music” Video!

This video is for the song “Swag Music” (Produced By K.K.O.F.), Song appears on K.K.O.F.’s “The King With Swagga” album

To download K.K.O.F.’s “The King With Swagga” album, click HERE

ABOUT THE SONG:

I really don’t have much to say about the song but basically, I was in the midst of making The King With Swagga and I had a beat I had made back last year. I supposed to give the beat to A.P.T. but somehow, it wasn’t in the folder along with the rest of the beats where I sent a stack of beats to A.P.T., but then I knew that I would use the beat anyway, so since I was at the time working on the beats for his Non Juan project, the beat was laying around and also, I forgot I had the beat because it wasn’t in my hard drive. I usually make a beat, mix it then transfer the beats to my passport hard drive, but at that time, I didn’t have one, so the beat was just sitting around in my old washed up computer, which is where I currently produce and mix my beats.

When I decided to make the album, I had found the beat, so I copied it to my hard drive and later wrote to the beat. Technically, I compared the song to “Swag Game”, so I just wrote the song about haters, how much I hate skinny jeans/tight clothes, added a mini-metiphor and my own definition of swagga. As for the chorus, very much simplistic on my part but I ran out of hooks for that song…and that’s it.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

The video was pretty much repeating what I done in my last videos. I couldn’t use the green screen because (1): I don’t have the right light equipment for the green screen and (2): I have took the green screen down and packed it up because i’m moving to my new home on Wednesday.

I shot this video 5 times, Actually I shot one of the sections last week, I could’ve finished last week but I was kinda lazy, that shot was the one with the almost pink-ish/purple background, which is a bed spread on the back door because my mom took the regular curtains down. I also shot 3 more shots, 2 of them had messed up quality and one was clear. I’m not gonna go into details about the others. The editing time for the video was 2 hours.

The song/beat itself sounds like T.I. or Young Jeezy style. I have one more video i’m making for a song from “The King With Swagga” album, which i’m gonna ended making by the end of next week when I move into my new home; by the way, I have a mixtape that just had released by Nu Sound Entertainment, not me. It’s called “I Am Kutta”, you can download the mixtape for free by clicking HERE, basically, it’s not lyrically the best mixtape but could’ve did better, but then again, I was NOT in rapping mode, when i’m not in rapping mode, my music will not be lyrically the best but one thing I know, RP2 a.k.a. The Redprint is coming real soon folks and I promise you is gonna like it. That’s all for now. Peace!

K.K.O.F. – “So Awesome” Music Video

This video for K.K.O.F.’s “So Awesome” music video (Produced By K.K.O.F.) – Song appears on K.K.O.F.’s “The King With Swagga” album. To get the album, click HERE

ABOUT THE SONG:

This song I had thought of since early this year, plus I always wanted to make a song about how awesome I am, not in a boasting way, but more like in a “I got it my head” way. It also started when I was at work one day, I was repeatedly singing the words and when I got home, I wanted to make a song about it. So I went to my computer and got to working on a beat idea but the bad is, I didn’t know how I wanted the beat. I can make beats in almost type of style, I wanted go Drumma Boy or either pop style but then later, I decided to do my own style, which became a rock hip hop beat.

All I had to do was put in the kicks, hi hats, a snare (that is often used by produced Drumma Boy), two rock guitars, one for the background and the other for the chorus. It did not take long to make the beat because putting in the instruments and stuff were almost done. I listened to the beat and it came out great, I like the lead rock guitars in the chorus part, sounds so rocked out.

Then it was time to write. The first thing I wrote was the chorus, I constantly wrote that in 5 minutes, had to be a little creative because I know how to come with a good chorus, and that is a fact. Since I was in a slight recording mode, I went ahead and laid down the chorus for the song, then got to working on the verses, I really didn’t know what I was gonna say but I pretty much just wrote to whatever was on my mind. The writing part for both of the verses took me a good 45 minutes. I arranged the song for the bars verses, the first verse consist of 8 bars and the second were 12. For some reason, I don’t always do a full 16 bars. I really prefer doing 8 to 12 bears in a song because sometimes with me, I tend to run out of idea in a certain song, plus I don’t like my songs to be too long for the listener.

After the song got recorded, I was done, well…not quite, it was on to the mixing of the song. It only took me 5 minutes, I mixed and mastered this song, it’s not mastered professionally, but sounds great enough. I have to say the beat I made for the song was SICK!

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

I wanted to do this video on green screen but again, I couldn’t due to the lack of lighting I had, so I had no choice but to go to the basics. It ain’t much to say about the making of this video but everything was kinda simple. Since my  (somewhat) friend, wanted to come over to my crib, I figured he would be my cameraman of that day. Oh yeah, a couple weeks of ago, I brought a HD camera and I shot all my shoots with that camera. The camera works so good, I had to hide it from my sister because as I said last time in my previous blogs, she damaged my old one. The old camera was not a HD camera but it was just a high capacity camera, meaning just high quality, the last I used that camera was shooting the “Do My Thang” music video, now I got an HD camera, but what made it so good, it was way under $200. I was planning to get an HD camera anyway, rather if I had the old camera or not.

Anyway, in case yall didn’t know, my friend Fred, directed one of my old videos I did last year called “Rise To The Top”, it’s playing on YouTube now. This time, he is back. Me and him directed this video together, well, mostly me. We had plans to go somewhere away from the house but it was getting a little late, so we decided to keep it at the house. So for the first shot, we decided to shoot it in the house in the front room. I had to bring out the swagged out shades. The second shot was outside, there was a spot in the yard, which was next to the neighbors where it was something like tree, can’t really describe it but I shooted that shot there and the last shot was outside as well. This time, I had an idea, I told Fred to move backwards with the camera with me walking and mouthing the words toward the camera so the shots wouldn’t be the same, we circled around the yard and later walked in the street and that’s it.

It was on to the editing part, I didn’t start editing the video until that next day because I was pretty much tired that day. The video editing for the video took me about 4 hours. You know I had to put in some effects for some of the shots, so i’m not gonna go into details about that. Thanks Fred for helping me out.

That’s all I got for you today. I hope you enjoy the video. BTW: I’m working on two more videos for the songs from my newest album “The King With Swagga” available now on iTunes: www.tinyurl.com/kingswaggaitunes

Today’s music video is for the song “Life Without You” (Produced By K.K.O.F., That’s ME!)

ABOUT THE SONG:

I previously had this song on one of my mixtapes called “The Redprint”, but then, as I was working on the album, I thought that this song would be worth selling since people like the song, so I took it off the mixtape on put on my debut album.

How this song came together was one day, I was going through some relationship issues with my ex girlfriend and them issues came as a result to us breaking up. Once that happen, I had gotten a little inspiration, just a little, but not much.

Technically, I haven’t thought of a song like it because I haven’t wrote a deep song within 3 or 4 years but the fact was that my ex girlfriend kinda hurt me badly, I felt that I had to put it in a song, not that I didn’t care or wanted her back, but my reaction to my idea was kinda creative on my part. I didn’t think of the idea just because I wanted my ex to come back to me, I wanted to do it because I wanted to show people that not only I create dance/club songs, but make songs that is kinda deep and have that soul feel to it. Since I had the idea in my head, I went to my computer and made a beat from my Fruity Loops program. It took me about 30 minutes to make the beat in addition to 15 minutes for mixing the beat, then after that, I grabbed a pen, my notepad, played the beat and started writing.

It was not hard writing the song because I knew what I wanted to get off my chest. While I was writing the song, out of no where, I started singing, which was another idea I had anyway but I wanted to make a beginning bridge to the chorus of the song and then the verses. I wrote the verse first and it took about 10 to 15 minutes and the chorus took about 5 minutes. The chorus was repetitive but a little catchy.

The writing part of the song was basically suppose to talk about how much I miss that girl, how important the relationship is to me and how my life would turn out if I didn’t have her, the words that I say in the song are deep but yet a little sad. I wanted to make it seem like i’m begging her back at the last verse after the singing bridge of the song.

After I got done recording the song, it sounded great, even though at the time I recorded this song a year ago before I got my professional recording equipment. You probably ask this question: If you made the song last year, how come you did not put this song out?: Because also at that time, I was planning to make an album and that song was gonna be featured on it but I didn’t have no way to sell it, so I just left it. This is one of the deepest songs I ever written and now, the song has proven to be good.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well…I had a idea to shoot the video on the green screen but due to the lack of lighting I have, I had to go back to the basic video shoots. I also didn’t have no idea of shooting this video, but just basically did what I wanted to do. In addition to that, people was asking me when i’m gonna make a video to the song, this was back when I had the song on my last mixtape “The Redprint”.

I did 3 different shots for the video. All of them was in my room,. One was standing against my room wall, the second was on my bed, the shot was kinda low from my face so I couldn’t put in all of it in the video, and the last shot was me in the same place but with the room light off. There was one shot I left, well…I forgot and that’s it!

That’s all folks, enjoy the video and be sure to download my album on iTunes today!

K.K.O.F. – “Look At Me (God In My Life)” music video!

Today’s music video is “Look At Me (God In My Life)” Written & Produced By K.K.O.F.

DESCRIPTION OF THE MUSIC VIDEO/SONG:

Well, first off, for now on, I’ll be changing up the way I do my insights on my blogs, due to a request I got.

Any way, I made this song back in January and I got inspired in church one day. I was thinking about how thankful I am to be living and how GOD can make things happen for me. I had to make this song because I LOVE GOD and he loves me. I was also talking about how I ain’t got friends, haters being mad because i’m a child of GOD, and giving inspiration to people to say “Look At Me, I got GOD in my life”, just to speak up on.

As for the video, like I said before, I don’t have a camera but in a few weeks, I probably have another one soon. I shot the video on my MAC computer, it has a built in camera in it, how cool. I did one of my shots standing up and the other shot was repeating the “Fresh” video as sitting down. It only took almost an hour to edit the video, just for a 2 minute video.

Anyway, That’s all I feel like typing for now. Oh yeah, My first album “The King With Swagga” is dropping tomorrow people on iTunes, Amazon & more, so stay tuned…
