Fake Trapper [Official Video]
This video for the song “Fake Trapper”, available now on Kaptain Kutta’s “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” and “KuttaStyle” mixtape!
ABOUT THE SONG:
I’m going make the insights short because as of late, i been kinda lazy and now, i’m tired of typing a long insight to my videos, which i will also make an announcement regarding that in a few weeks.
The song is about these rapper trying to be “trap rapper”, just in case you don’t know what a trap rapper is, a trap rapper is a person who have experience on the streets selling drugs and rap about it. There is more to it. Most of the people thinks it is also about robbing and people who have weapons but that don’t define it.
Anyway, it’s some rappers that wannabe trap rappers, which is NOT talent at all, especially if you have no experience. These are rappers by example that does has experience at trapping: Gucci Mane, OJ Da Juiceman, Young Jeezy, T.I., Yo Gotti, Waka Flocka and more but there is also rappers who don’t have experience at that and yet talk about it in their music. There is a couple rappers I can name, like this person who got signed to a record deal at 17 when his dance song broke out, since then, he fell off after his 2nd album and his 3rd album poor sales proved that point. I’m not gonna say his name but now you see why people say Hip Hop is dead but since i’m a underground artist, I have nothing to do with that.
So… I had to make a song to let people know about these wannabe trap rappers, the original song has my artist Bossie Breed on it but you find that version on my 1st mixtape “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta”, you can also find the song without Bossie Breed on the “KuttaStyle” mixtape at www.KKOFmusic.com/freemixtapes. The beat was produced by me was 50% flipped from Waka Flocka’s Robot Rapper song.
ABOUT THE VIDEO:
The video was another simple music viral video and no need to go thru with that.
That’s it for the insights. I’m dropping a mixtape Monday called “Street Fever”, it a duo mixtape by me and Bossie Breed. I put together the mixtape just to hold you over until my new official mixtape drops in the near future. More details coming soon. You can view the cover/artwork and track list at www.KKOFmusic.com/freemixtapes and will be dropping Monday, Dec. 5th at 2pm on HotNewHipHop.com – Check out the countdown here >>> http://www.hotnewhiphop.com/kaptain-kutta-street-fever-mixtape.36122.html

Believe In The Lord [Official Video]
This is the official video for Kaptain Kutta’s “Believe In The Lord” song!
ABOUT THE SONG:
As I was working on my first tape”The Year Of Kaptain Kutta”, I was searching for beats online for the tape, I saw a beat mixtape on datpiff.com by producer A 2da K and preview some of the beats and downloaded it. I wanted a short beat with only verse where I talk about believing in the lord, yet i found one.
So I wrote to the beat and got it written within 15 minutes and went to recording an hour later. Got finishing recording the song in 30 minutes, not bad. I wanted to make the song positive and have some meaning to the soft style beat. People might say that it’s just a song but I don’t record song just because i want to, I make songs like this because not too many rappers make these kind of songs, and believe it or not, this song came from the heart. Yeah I know the song is short but hey, I made my statement in 8 bars.
ABOUT THE VIDEO:
Once again, another simple video I put together and tried to make it as simple as I can. The cat in the video is my sister’s cat. I just felt putting him in the video and I also recording my scene mouthing the words to the song in my studio/den.
It took me about 45 minutes to edit the whole video but I didn’t put on YouTube till the next day… And that’s it!!
I’m on the grind making videos again. I got at least 8 video more dropping, whenever that is. I had to make this post a little short and fast because my internet getting cut off in a few hours. I just made a switch to a new cable and internet company, due to the ridiculous bill went up, smh. Trying to get something cheap. I don’t know how long it’s going to be off but in the meantime, check out my music on this site and follow me on Twitter: www.Twitter.com/KaptainKutta for my update, i’ll be tweeting from my phone.

ABOUT “THE YEAR OF KAPTAIN KUTTA” MIXTAPE:
Well, despite me changing my name to Kaptain Kutta, I decided to start all over on my music career. I have a new name, new attitude and new music, the reason why i changed my name in the first place is to keep doing music, and to be honest, i’m glad i changed my name, maybe it will be more catchy to someone when they hear my music. I was gonna wait till my birthday to change it but I figured 2 weeks ago is the time to do it. I changed my name 3 times now but I promise this is my final name change and it will not be changed anymore.
Anyway….
This mixtape was supposed to be under the title “KuttaStyle” but due to me changing my name, I gave another title. The former named mixtape had about 24 tracks but I decided to take about 9 of them off because I kept boasting my old name in them songs and left 14 new songs on the tape. My single “Bombay” is going crazy right now. There ain’t too much to explain about this mixtape but it does not disappoint. It got songs like for the parties, club, life and songs dedicated to God. All of these songs is straight from the heart and no fake stuff on there. If you sleep on this mixtape, then you continue to listen to the fake stuff for the rest of your life. This is a real mixtape with lyrical content and songs that make statements. Understand my passion people.

How To Start Your Career As An Artist!
Hello everybody,
I thought I would come on here today to share some inspirational advice with you for the upcoming underground artist out there, rather you is a rapper or singer, because I know some want to know how to get to a point where underground artist are kinda well known and expanding fanbase.
To me, there’s only one word to motivate anyone and everyone, GRIND (meaning working hard until you make it to the top). Let me share some tip and things to that.
Well, if you just started doing music and you trying to get yourself known, if you want people to hear your music, be sure to do the following below:
- Be Serious. Don’t play around in your music, (I did that a few years ago and it took me hard criticism from people to get very serious). Always have a musically mind if you want the people to like your music.
- Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT, get caught in with the other artists that you see today. For example: and I quote from a guy I went to school with years ago “Hey, hear my music man, I sound like Young Jeezy, I flow like Gucci Mane, my music just like T.I.”, that is not the right way to promote yourself. No one don’t really hear no artist who music is like another rapper..
- Be Yourself, Be Creative. Underground rap artist is setting the wrong example of how to be an artist, being a “trap” rapper might be okay for some people but everybody can’t be a “trap” rapper and it’s nothing positive at all. You need to have enough confidence to come up with your own style, not nobody else. If you don’t, then you basically be a carbon copy and no one wants that. Always stay original, be creative, have your own style and be yourself.
- Do not put out an mixtape until you at least gain the amount of fans support your movement. Most people would put out or pass out mixtapes when their just getting started. There is a reason for that. If you try to put out a mixtape without being known, all you doing is making people bypass your project and all that music on that mixtape will go to waste. No artist wants that. The best thing to do is make at least two songs and push at least one of them everywhere you can. If you do that, you will probably get some people behind to help you push the song to get fans behind you.
- Be prepared to put yourself out there: In order to get your song heard, you will have to talk to some people like club DJ’s, music scouts, etc… but also if you don’t have stage fright, then you should perform your song anywhere that has a stage and DJ, or a party. It would a great to get some fans behind you. Also, you can use the internet to spread your song, site like YouTube, MySpace, Twitter will help you out if successful.
- Don’t Give Up: Sometimes, the process might take forever to get your name out there but you have to understand that sometimes, it’s not your time yet. People give up on music because they can’t succeed in getting their name out there, but also because you’re doing things the wrong way. There is a saying that I quote right here “You gotta crawl before you walk”. My advice to you is to not go for a record yet until you create a big buzz. I’m not that well-known but I got fans, so i’m not rushing anything. The whole thing to the process is GRIND. It may feel like your not getting no where but sometimes, it will not be your time yet. Just be patient and your time will come.
So that is my advice and inspiration for the upcoming artists out there. It’s plenty of good artists out there trying to get discovered but always take what you like to do seriously. If you have a passion for being an artist, don’t give up, keep going on and let God lead you the way to success. You must also remember that everybody can’t be on top, sometimes it doesn’t work your way. You gotta be able to do you in a creative way.
I will tell you about the next topic “How to start your career as a producer”, which I am as well later next week. In the meantime, new music video coming either Saturday or Sunday, another inspiration and crunk song for you. See yall later, God bless!

Why Me, Why I Have To Be The Biter! (It’s Sad!)
Well…Today, I happen to go on my facebook and happen to see a disappointing note on my news feed. They didn’t say the name of it but they couldn’t get by me, yeah I know exactly who a certain someone is talking about. Usually, I don’t like to get into things that people try to start something with but I just have to express what I do and how I do it differently. It seems that people does not know how I do things and yet, they don’t understand, so now, let me get this off my chest and explain how I do things.
People have other biting off their style or whatever but in this case, i’m put into the situation. So when see things like this, it’s bothers me and i’m very sensitive when people put me in something I don’t have nothing to do with, so I have to take this personally because to me, it’s either two things, hate, or wanna see me go down.
It’s sad and it disappoints me.
Okay, so the person I respected so much has gave me inspiration and i’m a big fan of this person. His inspiration got me to think of ideas that was creative, which some of them I thought was not good but later worked out in the long run. The first I did to dedicate to him was a song in the past he made, I liked it, so I made a beat that was similar to his to give him a hint that I am a producer, then i read that it was some some song ideas that were being used, what song ideas is that because I do not recall any songs idea I used for theirs. What I do is use the people/musicians I respect for inspiration and make things on my own.
This person is trying to say that i’m ripping him off and GOD knows that is NOT true. All the ideas I come up was based on inspiration, not nobody else, sometimes, I would not know unless I found out that someone was using the idea. Some of my ideas or similar to others but I always make sure that mine would not be the same as theirs so they wouldn’t think i’m copying them. Copying someone would be the last thing on my mind and it’s sad to see that someone is complaining, trying to knock down my success for what i’ve worked hard for.
The album review thing was suggested by MY fans, not based off him. He’s been doing album reviews for a year but when my fans request something, i don’t ignore it, this is the reason why I have a YouTube page in the first place, I’ve only done 4 album reviews an he got more than I have, plus, there are other people on YouTube who does album reviews as well, so…therefore, it’s common sense. If everybody else does reviews, why can’t I, it is not no law saying that I can’t do reviews, then I did an album review of Kanye’s new album, so did he but I didn’t know that he made a review for Kanye album until a few days after and I also did a Nicki Minaj review and yeah I gave her the exact rating he did, but only because I agreed but now, I deleted the nicki minaj album review so I hope he’s happy.
The Blogs, I didn’t really keep up with his blogs that much but sometimes, I would go to his site to download some of his songs, which is the only reason I go to his site. He writes blogs on his site about his albums and stuff, me, I write about my music, my life and more. My fans can see that my site is very different than his. When I write my blogs, I write them in a different way, I use easy phases and words to express what i’m saying and yet, he thinks I stealing them. He has a popular song he made back 2 years ago, which he call him self now, my popular is Never Been A Lame but I don’t really call myself by my popular song. I have 3 name that been given to me: “East Lake Kutta”, “The Swagged Out Rap King” and “The Ministry Rap King”, does that sound like i’m stealing?? NO!!!
I had open up me a site for a special project that me and my partner was working on but since he think sthat I was stealing his style of the new site he has, I closed it and gonna put my upcoming things on my own site, and I also opened up a new twitter page for that project because for one, my old twitter kept getting hacked but now I closed the new twitter and kept my old one @KKOF because I got the hacking situation resolved.
Now let’s get into the parody songs. This person also thinks i’m starting to do parodies now, well, I released a Waka Flocka parody a few days ago but my parody was different, it was spiritual and when he do parodies, he switches up the title that rhymes with the regular songs, I kept the SAME title of the regular song, it’s not stealing at all, it’s just similar and I don’t do parodies, I actually does remakes of people’s popular songs but not often. As of matter of fact, that’s the only parody song I did, why is he mad, he got an whole album with parodies, he probably will think that I will come out an album with parodies, well, i’m not. I’m not that dude. I make music that is crunk, inspirational and sometimes spiritual.
But why is he starting stuff when he is copying off another musician. I had no ideas to copy someone and why should i, Copying and stealing people stuff is the very last thing on my mind. I can come with creative ideas anytime I want, i’m very creative and my idea might be similar to others, that is the farest I go.
When I do songs, I listen to other people songs first, then that when I create me a killer creative song, it turns out great. I been doing this music for 10 straight years and i’m gonna continue to do it. I also create crunk songs with a powerful message which I call “Spiritual Rap Music”, which is something he doesn’t do. My spiritual songs would show that i’m more than an artist, I use my music to help people who have lost souls, going through some stuff in their life or people who love GOD. My other songs are very much fun songs to listen to. When I first started rapping, it was off inspiration and at the time, I didn’t know how to produce beats until I learned 5 years later. Now I know how to do both, but I was always a spiritual person in the first place. God tells me that these things will happen and I just have to ignore the hate and complaining.
The “Never Been A Lame” is my biggest song up to date and people still loves it. That song is an inspirational song for people who get called lame when their not. It’s also my most catchiest songs i’ve ever wrote. I just don’t look at what this person do and say “I will do the same thing he’s doing”, that’s not how I handle things, I do things the opposite. Why I would do what this person is doing when i can do things MY way.
I find this kinda sad because this person is good at what he does and I don’t understand why he is starting stuff, I do not copy, I do not steal and I put that on everything. Yes he is an influence to me but I don’t carbon copy anyone. I have a label called Swagg Tyme Nation, which I founded myself, I have 4 artists, which I recruited them myself and I make mixtapes, which I make myself as well as my music videos, songs, reviews, websites, beats, and fans. I made money off my music without copying him, copying someone is having the same exact name, same exact song etc, therefore, i’m not biting no one’s style. I don’t need to. I believe this person is better than that and instead of trying to take down my success for what I worked hard for, he should think twice about it because it will not help.
This person is too talented and gifted to bring me down and have to understand how I do things differently, i guess because someone is sensitive and is annoyed for no reason at all. I have my own stuff to worry about instead of biting the person, the person knows that deep in his heart that I do things differently from his. It’s just sad, it’s people hating on my stuff that I do. It always be an hater somewhere. I have people copying me too but I don’t complaining about it, I go on to the next one and keep doing my thang, the more the hate, the successful I get. It’s just really funny to me but sad.

More Inspiration To Music!
This week, I been recoreding songs and I been in a somewhat song-writing mode but i’ve also been in beat-making mode as well. As for the beats, I been listening to different to artists and found some inspiration for making beats. I took a 3 week hiatus from making beats but now, i’m back to making them again.
Part of my inspiration is me producing for several artists, I don’t know if it’s the postive feedback i”m getting or the beats I produced for them became hits but whatever it is, I been focused. I hate to brag and boast but i’m a beast on them beats, I GOT BEATS FOR DAYS, WEEKS AND YEARS!!
On the music side, I also found inspiration for my music, some of them is crazy but postive, I can actually take a bad songs and turn it into a good song, how crazy is that, or I can actually make a song that is very trancy-like and turn it into a rap song, well, that’s actually what I used to do a few years ago. All the music I make is gonna make your dance and have something that you can feel.
No wonder I love doing this music, this is what I have a passion for people!
That’s all I got to say for now, new music video coming next week and later that week, I have some exclusive news about my new music, stay tuned…

It’s Time To Start Over!
When I first started doing music, it wasn’t on regular beats but then later when I learned knowledge that I can make music on a computer, it was all i needed. Then a few years later, when I finally recorded my music, i had different styles and thing i would rap about. The first i started, I was doing this thing call “Booty Music”, which was a song that consisted of a mixture with trance and rap music, that’s how i was a little bit known, most of the song i made was catchy to that music. If i could recall three years later, I started doing music about drugs and violence, but the things about that was i didn’t really do drugs or kill nobody, that’s why I have a clean record on me. During that time, that kind of music was trending and i didn’t care at that time. There was another where i had calm down from that BAD rap to soul rap, meaning that i would make music about love and hard times, them things were true because in 2007, I lost one of my best collab buddies, who was also my true friend, his name was Mariece Harris. Me and him was in a rap group together and his birthday is 6 days away. Ever since he was killed, I calmed down on the bad music and focused on making good music.
Every since then, everything just became regular, with myself of course. In 2008, I had not recorded no music since a year prior, I took a long hiatus from music but then when I decided to come back, it was based off of inspiration. At the time, I had a computer to make my beats and record my songs. I had put out some music but then, I realized that I couldn’t reach nobody to listen to my music or promote myself, so I did some research on how to promote myself and one thing came to mind, music videos, but at the time, I couldn’t afford a camera because even though I had a job, I was not getting paid enough money, so I had to save up my money until I get the amount of money I needed to get the camera. It took me 3 months just to save up to $150, very depressing. I finally got the camera.
As for the music equipment, it was not the best. I happened to listen to my old songs I made a few years back and realized that the quality of my music was not the best either, plus on top of that, I was not rapping in my best lyrical ability, I was in a rush in most of my old songs and putting out as much mixtapes as I can…and I regret not taking the time to write my music.
Even though I didn’t have all the “best” things, I found a way to make songs and my videos get out to the world. I would put out a new music video each week for 9 months, and I did it all myself, basically, i kinda took the idea from someone but i made sure that people wouldn’t think I was copying the other person, it was a project of mine to get fanbase, which came along very slowly. I only had one video that had over 6,000 hits on YouTube, it was a song I made 3 years ago called “Booty Bounce”, and the reason why it got hits is because of the images and footages of women twerking, which is another word for booty shaking. All my other videos did not get much hits, I regret doing that project because it didn’t get me where I wanted, although, I managed to get a couple fans. For that music video project, my goal was to get to 50 videos, but trouble rained down on me when one day I was about to edit a music video and my computer started acting funny on me and it got worse when I could install my clip into my movie maker, so I gave up and call it quits, but I managed to get one last video posted. I ended the project 5 videos shorts, which was 45. Then I put out a song called “I Got Some Haters”, with A.P.T. and on his YouTube channel where he posted the video, I read the comments on the video and it changed everything.
Now i’m starting to regret everything in the past I did bad as far as music…Now you probably wondering, why do I bring this situation up now?
Well…I been thinking about some things, every since I made a connection to the big people, I been depending on too much people to help me get success as an artist, but I must say that one thing I know how to do well is producing bangin’ beats, which I seek to far in so don’t get it twisted. Shoooot, I even got to produce some beats for people and help them hits.
So now I know that being dependent on people to help me get success is never gonna work unless they willing to help, that’s just like being spoiled.
All of the things I went though and the things I had or have had gave me an answer to the most important common thing: You don’t really need them things or them people. It might be better if I try again and start the way I was.
What do I really think about that? I don’t know but I know when I first started where I was, it didn’t turn out too good, so maybe I will give it another try and this time, without depending on other things.
What I mean about that is getting videos out, starting with the new camera I just brought, which is an HD camera. Then make more beats on my old computer, which got my Fruity Loops program and the magix music maker 2005 deluxe edition where I mix was beats on. I use to record my songs on that computer with my stage performance mic but since my USB studio mic doesn’t work on it, I record my music on my MAC garageband program or either my windows laptop, which have my Magix Music Mixer program on it but I really like to record on the MAC garageband program because I can mix and master the quality of my music on it.
The videos will be another focus, now I have a HD camera, the quality will be 10 times better than the previous camera I was using.
In the upcoming meantime, I’m gonna start working on more music, i’m focusing on two important mixtapes, one for the remainder of this year and a new one to start off for next year. All my music is gonna positive from now on, and i’m not going gospel on yall, just to clear that up. As for albums, my debut album “The King With Swagga” didn’t sell that much, so i’m gonna chill out on the official albums for a while until something happens but there will be more mixtapes, but i’m also thinking that it would more better if I release songs as single meaning one song at time, if the songs get attention, then I will sell it, if not, then I will give away for free.
Another thing i’m focusing on is making more beats for other artist, it might give me a boost on my music career, I’ve learned that the beats i’ve produced for the other artists has became a hit for them, I also wanna get credit for them, oh yeah, by the way, I produced a joint for Yo Gotti from Cash Money and his manager insisted him for another producer to remake the beat, which i’m not happy with, now I have no proof, the song itself was mixed and mastered professionally and my tag was on it, well…at least I got paid but I wanted credit.
The videos I will continue to make will probably have guest appearances on it but you will see myself mostly and the songs I will make will have probably more collabs for other artists, to be honest, I don’t like waiting on my collab songs for a long time, I really expect to be done as quick as a possible, especially if i’m working on a project, because it don’t take from 4 days to 2 weeks to lay a verse down. All the things I done in the past, i’m hitting the reset button and starting over on new things.
That’s all I got to say, I’m working on my last mixtape of 2010 and I have one last video i’m doing for a song from “The King With Swagga” album, until then, check out the videos www.YouTube.com/KKOFmusic and please get my album on iTunes today.

Getting To My Goals
I been thinking how people get successful in the things they do, but for some it’s not easy at all. I’m not the perfect person and I never said I was, it just that people try to make a big impression on their self when other struggle to get where they want to get in life. It’s not easy for all of us but only we can decide rather where we wanna go in life, in order to get there, you can only depend on GOD, but you must commit yourself to doing it.
As for me, I had some things I achieved and some things I have not. When I started doing music in 2000, I fell in love with rappin’ and decided to become a rapper, but at that time, I was not really serious in my music. I got more serious 8 years later, and then that next year, I received fans but not much of them. Earlier this in March, I released a street banger called “Never Been A Lame”, followed by “Swag Game” a month later. Them songs are not that popular because it hasn’t went worldwide but it was good enough to draw attention to myself. Now I want more, I want more fanbase and at least have one BIG hit song that plays on the radio and gets on sites on World Star Hip Hop and other big sites you can get noticed on. My songs have played on 2 radio stations, but did not have much of a following.
One of the reasons why I decided not to put out no more official albums was because of the following I had. Let’s use Non Juan for an example, He has a album called “909 & Heart Flatlines”, the songs on that album were mostly produced by myself but the album itself did not sell, why? because he didn’t have much a following. So I feel that when you a new artist or an existing artist, it’s important to have a following so people can purchase your stuff.
All I know for my album sales, well, I don’t know how much copies of my album i’ve sold yet but I know about 5 people got my album, the reason I put out an album in the first place because I had people kept asking when i’m gonna release an album because they gonna buy when it comes out, and one special fan of mine wanted me to stop doing mixtapes and release albums because she thinks my music is worth buying, so after getting requests from a lot of fans, I went ahead and put one out but as I said in the last blog, some of them fans went awol on me and I felt like I had no fans, why? because when I put out a mixtape before the album came out, only got 2 downloads on it and I asked people to download it, plus I started to noticed that I wasn’t getting feedback or nothing I expected. The point of that is I did not have enough following for people to buy my stuff, I don’t wanna spend money and hard work on something that people ask for.
So now, I have planned out my goals to achieve….
One of them goals is to: make a hit song, something that the people can react to and catchy. For example: A.P.T.’s “Obama Milli” song, parody of Lil Wayne’s “A Milli”. The song got played on radio, made big site and has a lot of hits on YouTube. That song has gotten him attention and great fanbase. Should I make a parody songs from popular rapper’s songs, well, it might be the way to gain some fanbase. It made A.P.T. and Alphacat popular.
The second goal is: Perform at local venues, when I person see you perform and they like you, they gonna wanna know where can they see more of your work, mines is music videos to promote my songs and mixtapes. That can also get me fanbase, if sucessful. I will also need a manager’s help for booking me to places to perform.
The final goal: Getting my beats out there and getting credit for my work, meaning I will have to get sign to the industry as a producer, I don’t know how that gonna happen but if possible, I will try.
Also i’m thinking about moving to California or either Miami, Florida to jumpstart my career in the major-world. I hate to admit that I need help but I do. I been trying to this for two years and yet failed to get to where I want to be. I had someone who was supposed to help me but stab me in the back at the last minute, now i’m hungry for success and I want badly. If I could get fans to support in everything I do, this will keep me driven for life because this is what I love to do and I didn’t come this far for nothing. Like I said time and time again, I love music, music is my life and no one can take that away from me.
That’s all I got to say, please support me and help me get towards my goals in life, i’m praying that GOD can make things happen for me, it would make me happy!!

Why I Have A Passion For Music!
This has probably been a frequently asked question for some of you people who inquire, well…Here’s why!!
I started doing music at the age of 12, but in my earlier days, my uncle used to play that old school rap music and it sounded so good. When I was 12, I was listening to one of my favorite dirty south rappers of all time, Master P. Yeah, he was my influence for me doing music, I thought he was the hottest rapper ever, plus I liked how he was crunk, hype, aggressive and how his music was catchy. I liked all his albums from his 1997 LP “Ghetto D” to his 2005 LP “Ghetto Bill”, them albums were so classic to me, I still listening to them. After I heard his album “Only God Can Judge Me”, that’s when I had a passion for doing music. Every since then, I been addicted to music, I can’t stop and never will.
The way I see it now, Hip Hop is different, artist is getting more lyrical and more aggressive, it’s not the same like it used to be, plus people expect you to be lyrical in your music but I think you should be your own artist and say what you feel, after all, it’s music. Some people can’t handle or have the ability to be too lyrical. I think people should be their own artist, you don’t won’t people thinking you’re trying to be like (for example) Eminem, he is very lyrical in his songs. If you trying to become someone you’re not, then you know in your heart you is a carbon copy. Only you can choose whether to lyrical or be a free-minded rapper. I can can lyrical sometime but i’m not trying to be like every other emcee, it’s a difference between a emcee and a rapper. I’m a rapper and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
I been a rapper for 10 straight years, technically, it should be 9 because I stopped rapping for a year but I promised my myself, as long as I live, I will not quit music. I hardly don’t have no friends, no girlfriend and no where to go but work and back home. Music is all I got and I have so much strong love for it. When I get bored, I make music, I think music, I talk about music and nobody can’t take that away from me, no matter what people think about my music. MUSIC IS MY LIFE!!

K.K.O.F. – “Look At Me (God In My Life)” music video!
Today’s music video is “Look At Me (God In My Life)” Written & Produced By K.K.O.F.
DESCRIPTION OF THE MUSIC VIDEO/SONG:
Well, first off, for now on, I’ll be changing up the way I do my insights on my blogs, due to a request I got.
Any way, I made this song back in January and I got inspired in church one day. I was thinking about how thankful I am to be living and how GOD can make things happen for me. I had to make this song because I LOVE GOD and he loves me. I was also talking about how I ain’t got friends, haters being mad because i’m a child of GOD, and giving inspiration to people to say “Look At Me, I got GOD in my life”, just to speak up on.
As for the video, like I said before, I don’t have a camera but in a few weeks, I probably have another one soon. I shot the video on my MAC computer, it has a built in camera in it, how cool. I did one of my shots standing up and the other shot was repeating the “Fresh” video as sitting down. It only took almost an hour to edit the video, just for a 2 minute video.
Anyway, That’s all I feel like typing for now. Oh yeah, My first album “The King With Swagga” is dropping tomorrow people on iTunes, Amazon & more, so stay tuned…

My Purpose Of A Mixtape!
My debut album “The King With Swagga” coming out Tuesday, August 3rd.
As us musicians and artists, we feel that we should get our stuff out to the public, some of them do for a major record deal but for me, the industry have other ways how to put your stuff on their terms, but that’s what I have a problem with. That is one of the reasons i’m not trying to consider a record deal because I don’t like nobody telling me how do my music.
Anyway, the reason why consider doing so much mixtapes is because if you a new artist, it’s better to give people free music then people having to pay for it. Once you get your music out there on mixtapes, then people might consider purpose your future music, and also a way to reach out to fans. In my opinion, I think all artist who doesn’t have a much following to put out enough until they get the amount of fans they wish for. Some artist would over-do it by keep releasing mixtape after mixtape when people already wants to buy your music on itunes. It might be a bad idea.
If any artist wants a following of their music, they should also promote their mixtapes before settling to put out more of them. If you have fans that love your music and they would like to get more music from you, then that’s the green light to sell your future music.
Also, I learned that I made the big mistake by releasing my popular hit “Never Been A Lame” on “The Redprint” mixtape for people to download for free, but at the time, I didn’t know the song would become a big hit. I was just sitting here thinking about that. I want to sell that song but I really don’t know because i’ve put out 3 mixtapes this year and two last year. I could’ve included the song on my upcoming album but it’s gonna stay free for now.
When I released all of my mixtapes, I was trying to draw attention and get fanbase, it was my main focus and still is. My 2nd mixtape (technically my 8th) “Still On My Grind” had over 100 downloads and my 3rd mixtape (technically my 9th) “The Redprint” had about 460 downloads or more on allnewhiphop.com since the last time I checked. I have to say that my free mixtapes helped me get a little noticed.
I was also thinking what if I sold that mixtape at that time where people have to pay for it, if “The Redprint” mixtape got downloaded over 460 times for free, then think about how much sales I would get if I had sold it.
At the same, it might a great idea to put out a mixtape to advertise yourself, it helped me.
But, I was also think while I didn’t have a following or fans that no one would buy my stuff, I just didn’t want to put my stuff on sale and no one would buy it, it wouldn’t make no sense but then again, you never know what might happen. Confidence is the key. It would be good if you put out 4 or more albums with a hit on one of them and once the people heard your songs that first album, then they might go back and buy your previous stuff. For a mixtapes , I would suggest to do songs from other people beats and for an album project, get some hot beats and make songs off them. That’s when you get a good following on your stuff.
So…Again, if you an new artist, your should totally put out a mixtape just to get your music out there because it’s works. Trust me!!
That’s all I got to say for today, and don’t forget, my album “The King With Swagga” comes out on Tuesday, August 3rd. Have a great day!!
-K.K.O.F. (Kutta)
My Thank You’s!
MY ALBUM “THE KING WITH SWAGGA”
DROPPING AUGUST 3RD!
Okay, In all of my 10 straight years as being a talented musicianaire, there is people in my life and had something to do with my success has been very helpful to me. Rather I go through some ups and downs, these people believed in my me and showed blessing for what it’s worth. These people in my life and had something to do with me has appreciative and supportive throughout my music career.
So now, i’m gonna take the time to thank these wonderful people because they deserve every bit of it, from the heart!!
MOM (Retonia), GRANDMOTHER (Lucile) & DAD (Alvin)!
These three people was the main highlight in my life, they put in this world so I can learn things the american way. At first, they didn’t believe in my passion doing music, but now, they seen how I became successful. Not too many parents are supportive of their child, but my parents always told me to do what I love to do. I’m glad they are supporting my movement because i’d be scared if they wouldn’t. They made me stay in school and graduated successfully, plus they gave inspiration about my future. Me and my dad would bump heads at times, but after all, I realized he cares about me. My Grandmother has always kept me in her heart and I am very crazy about my grandma as well. My mom raised me in the hood and at that time, I was doing bad things, but also when my Dad came into her life and my sister was born, we all made it out the ghetto and kept GOD in our life. Now we have a decent family and I love them very much. They will have be in my heart.
MY LITTLE SISTER (Shurun)!
Even though she is too young to know what i’ve been through as a child at her age, it’s been too hard to keep her under control at times. She is growing up so fast. She is a troublemaker in school but out of school is different, I would worry about her because she would act grown when she’s not, but I pray that she will try to stay out of trouble. She is my first little sister and I love her. Another about her is, she would say what’s on her mind and mean it well when it’s comes down to what she knows, she is learning but next year, she has a lot to learn as a teenager and her future.
ALL MY COUSINS (The Halls, KeKe, C-Swagga & Others)!
I have a pack of cousins in my family who has been supportive from the start. I remember when I first started rapping, my cousin Derick Hall would play the drums over my grandmother house and I would start freestyling, them were the good ol’ times. Also at that time, I had another cousin who got into music as well, that person name is Rico, some would call him C-Swagga. I think we were the only two people who were most popular musicians in the family. I just know whenever I came around and give all my cousins my CD’s, they would play them and be so supportive of my music. I haven’t seen all of them lately but they deserve my thank you’s and they are highly appreciated for my success.
FRED, LAQUANDA & RAF!
These three people were mostly supportive and fans of me as well. They would always be everywhere I preformed my music and always hang out with me when I was bored and lonely. Laquanda was the first person i’ve met, I met through a mutual friend that I had went to school with. To be honest, she would sometimes embarrass me when she in public but at other times, she would be nice to me, even though half of my family don’t like her. She has always been a fan of my music and continues to support my movement.
Rafael Rogers or should I say Raf, is Laquanda’s ex boyfriend. He has also been helpful and supportive of everything I did. We had some great time hanging out together, rather at the mall looking at girls or at the club getting wasted, well, sort of… but one thing for sure about Raf, he would easily get pissed off if you push his buttons, we haven’t talk lately but that’s my homie for life.
And last but not least, Fred Willis a.k.a. Diesel, is Laquanda current boyfriend. Before he went with Laquanda, I found myself at a workplace with him trying to get money and a real job. Every since then, our friendship has gone on another level. He is one of the most coolest friends i’ve ever met, he is also funny, goofy and careful. I consider him family. At other times, I didn’t even know he would listen to my music and look at my music videos. Did I mentioned he directed one for me, yeah, “Rise To The Top” was the video he directed with me. I thank him so much for having my back for everything I went through. He would also tell me to keep making music because I was too talented to let it go the waste.
DOGGIE FRESH
This brother right here…I can say that he is another friend of mine who I inspired to get into music in the first place. In high school, he would be my bodyguard and an big helpful person. I completed against him at a neighbor talent show a few years back, he won it that year, he would also tell me to stop fooling and get serious, meaning to tuffen me up and that next year in the neighborhood talent hood, I beat him. We all thought alike but once we started our won group called the FireBoyz, we was one dangerous rap group, despite what we rapped about. We have collaborated on a lot of songs together and we still do. One thing he always told me is to not stop rapping, because if I did, he would kill, literally. Not only we work together musically, he is also a friend of mine and a true supporter of my movement and my label Swagg Tyme Nation!
BRITTANY BLACK & THE CAMPAIGN!
These girls are major fans of mines. They been fans of me since I was under my former name King Kut and Elementary school. They are still supporting my movement. Brittany Black was my first girlfriend, she was very supportive of me and my music, she was a rapper herself. I was her inspiration to everything she went through and i’m glad we still get to kick it. In return, I support her movement as well. It’s all love!
A.P.T.
He is the guy who created the Obama Milli Remix song. I have produced some great hit songs for him including: “Imma Let You Finish”, “Kate Gosselin Is A B***h” and “No U Aint”. I reached out to him when his song “Obama Milli” got really popular and every since then, I been following him in terms of his music and everything else. He has been an influence to me and my music. He also helped get noticed by collaborating with me in the music video “Rock and Roll”, and his music off my beats earned me some of his fans. I’m glad my beats gave him that different sound because it got him more successful than ever. He has also got me involved in his project called NonJuan.com – I made beats for that album as well. I had to thank him for being a somewhat stepping stone in my music career!
GOD!
Everything became possible because of him. At times, If I didn’t succeed, I would feel like giving up on everything, but he tell me not to give up, despite if I fail each step of the way. He taught to keep trying and don’t let nothing stop it. I’ve been blessed with talent and sprit to shine. I will alway be in a relationship with GOD because I know he loves me and I love him back. He is the #1 key to my success, and will continue to be.
There is also another person I should give a thanks to, me and her don’t really speak to each other like we used to. When I first saw her, she was very sweet to me, she would always keep me from being bored and treats me well as a friend, we almost fell in love but when she started going to school and started working, it seems like every was too busy for her. She would always supportive in everything I do, including my music career and other things. I had to thank her for being so supportive through my ups and downs in my life.
If I didn’t say your name and you’ve been supportive of my music career and other things I did in my life, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Every last person I named was my inspiration and has a major influence to me from then to this point on. Despite what kind I music I make, I’m able to stand out as my own artist, rather i’m King Kut, Adrian or K.K.O.F., Thanks for believing in me and thank you for everything from the bottom of my heart. God bless all of you!
Yours Truely, K.K.O.F.
Changes To Music Video Blogs & More!
What’s up yall,
Okay, Check it, I got a request from a source, who I was extremely influnced by, I can’t really say his name because I got jungle craze at the moment, but you how I be giving insight on every detail of the music video, songs, editing, random blogs, etc… Well… it’s sort of a somewhat duplication kinda thing going on, in terms of promoting my stuff and editing music videos.
The point is, I am my own artist and people said I changed, which I have. I’ve changed my nickname, I change from being somewhat hard into somewhat of a christian type guy, and became a little bit too influenced that people starting to think i’m copying them. To those people who think I am, here is my true testimony, my true statement to that individual:
FIRST OFF, I, ADRIAN BURROUGHS (AKA K.K.O.F.) IS A TRUE MAN OF GOD, BUT PLEASE DON’T MAKE IT SEEM LIKE I SHOULD BE WORSHIPING THE DEVIL, I WANT TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD BECAUSE HE MAKE THINGS POSSIBLE FOR ME TO SUCCEED. I APOLGIZE TO THAT PERSON FOR BEING TOO MUCH OF DUPICATE YOUR COPYRIGHTS TO CERTAIN SUBJECTS. I MEAN NO HARM TO THE TALENTED PERSONALITY. I WILL MAKE SURE THAT THOSE THINGS I’VE DONE TO OFFEND YOU THAT WILL NOT REPEATED. I HAVE LEARN VERY QUICKLY THAT THERE ARE OTHER THINGS CAN BE CREATED, THIS IS MY PLEAD FOR FORGIVENESS.
What i’m really trying to say is, there will no more long detailed insights to the music videos, tidbits, or detailed songs I post in the future, but I will give you a little description about the music video itself. Also my blogs and the look on my music videos will be different from now on. Now i’m really stuck of how to promoting my stuff now. I decided to do this because a person requested, so i’m gonna give this person his wish. I still will be posting up blogs but as much differently as I can.
On the bright side, My album “The King With Swagga” is dropping August 3rd. I hope you as excited as I am. Have a good one!
Yours Truely, K.K.O.F.
Possibility Of More Videos!
What’s yall, it’s me, K-Swagga
Just another blog, a short one. Anyway, I talked to my mom today about a new camera and I told that my sister broke my handheld digital camera, I also told her that I didn’t know she went outside with it and took pictures with it, then when she came in the house saying “Hey A, I got something to tell you about your camera”, I knew she had to do some damage to it. I looked at my camera and I seen the part where the lens slides out is stuck to the side and will not slide out. The power still would come on but if the lens slide stuck, it will shut off. I didn’t want to make it worser than it is now, so now, I have nothing but my MAC computer camera.
As I said yesterday, I was planning to do a video shoot at a different location in Atlanta with that camera and my friend Fred, who was supposed to film me for the video but thanks to my sister, it’s ruined – BUT, however, I thought of an idea. Let me tell just a little what I did:
I shot two video shoots on my MAC computer, not only that, but I found a clip of me mouthing the words standing up. That’s all I can say for now but you gonna be surprised when I say this: NEW MUSIC VIDEO TOMORROW, YAY. Yeah, I just got finished editing the video and the song is off my debut album “The King With Swagga”, so stay tuned. Oh yeah, Also to say that my mom is gonna get me a new camera next month, so I will keep yall posted for that as well.
That’s all for now, see yall tomorrow.

K.K.O.F. – “Carbon Copyz” (Produced By ME!)
Follow me on Twitter: www.Twitter.com/KKOF
Today’s song is “Carbon Copyz” (Produced By K.K.O.F.)
INSIGHT INTO THE SONG:
I always wanted to do a song something or exactly like this, I was at a store one day and I had thought of a concept of someone trying to do things exactly the person does, which people calls a copycat, but I didn’t just wanted the name of the song to be copy cat, so I switched it the title into Carbon Copyz. Then I thought of an hook for the song. I quickly grabbed a piece of paper and wrote it down quickly as a could before I forget, at the time, I didn’t feel like writing verses for the song, so I pretty much just rapped what was on my mind, but then, I realized I needed a beat with it, so I got on my old slow computer and spent 45 minutes making a beat to go with the song.
As I was making the beat, I was rapping and more the more I rapped, the more things I thought to say, and minutes later, I finally finished the beat and I was ready to lay some verses down, but I was not done. Next, I had to arrange the song to lay my verses on. I didn’t know if I wanted to do two 16 bars verses or three 12 bars verses. Honestly, i’m a 8 bar person, I like my songs to be just shorter than 4 mins long. When I write a full 16 bar verse, especially 3 of them, I will run out of things and ideas to talk about after the 2nd verse, so I decided to arrange the song where I chant my name, do a little talking and straight into the 1st verse, usually I arrange my songs where I do the chorus first then to the verses.
In the song, I expressed the things on my mind in terms of people wanting other people do the exact things that certain people doing but while thinking of things to talk about for the song, I didn’t really know how the chorus was gonna be but I had to be a little creative while it was on my mind. An hour later, I thought of an great hook for the song, then it was onto the recording session. It took me a hour to record the song and this song happen to be recorded at 1am in the morning, I had to keep down my voice because my dad was upstairs sleep and he had to get up in a few hours. I think it’s a good concept for the song for people who notice other people trying to copy them, if that’s how you can quote it!!
Song Tidbits:
1. The tempo of the song was a little bit faster, so I thought if I slow the beat down, it would probably sound better. I’m glad my old computer didn’t start skipping when I was making the beat.
2. If you think or compare this beat to producer Drumma Boy, well, you can because it does. I wanted this beat to have that dirty south feel to it.
3. The chorus concept also came from A.P.T.’s song “Mini Me”, which you can view on YouTube.
4. At towards the end of the song, I state that the 3 songs I produced for A.P.T. was a true fact that they were big hits I produced for him.
I did not do a video because basically, I didn’t have time to shoot and edit one, so I will be dropping a brand new music video sometime next week, and it will be off my album “The King With Swagga” coming soon. So…That’s it for now!

Info About The First Official K.K.O.F. Album: “The King With Swagga!”!
What happening people!
Well guess what, I’M BACK and I have finally decided to give you a little insight into my first album project. It’s was suggested by a lot of people who is into my music and i’m sure I will be doing a promo for it soon, so, for those people who have been patiently waiting for some new product from me, here’s some stuff of what you need to know about this album!
1. The album will be called…
“THE KING WITH SWAGGA”
Wow, I like that title, pretty cool huh?
There is a reason why I chose this title, here is the reason: I’ve been dubbed that name because of these 2 things, my cousin, and my former name. (1): My cousin nickname is Da Christian Wit Swagga, which is a little similar and (2): For those who remember way back when I used go by the name King Kut, well, the point is that i’m the king of catchy songs, king of catchy booty music and the king of the popular beat-making program Fruity Loops, which I use to make my beats, but there so much more why I got that name.
The “Swagga” part is extremely true about me, but to me, it’s not all about the clothes and jews, it’s about staying true to yourself and always put GOD OVER EVERYTHING, yes I also have a spiritual side as well, but then again, clothes can be a little factor to the story but i’m going to the details. Some people say the word “swag” is getting old, but the new and upgraded word is “Swagga”, what I call external swag, which will never get old. Also, I will let people know what kind of rapper I am and purposeful. The opening tracks from the album are more laidback and has that new school sound – you can compare my most popular “Never Been A Lame”, which is aggressive, but not like in a 50 cent type style where he is talking about killing people. I wanted some of the songs to give a feeling of “hyped out” style to the listeners.
2. The tracks are New Aged & Catchy!
Well, some might say that i’m a new school version of Master P, which who I get my inspiration from, as well as Gucci Mane; but my main goal for this album is to get my name out to the public, to make songs that would prove how much of a hit-maker I really am; and to display some of my beat-making skills as well because I believe have a chance of being on the verge of being a major producer in the game.
(a): SWAGGA
I’ve already detailed this in the previous paragraph. Needless to say, I am talented and well rounded, and I tend to do that best through writing. On one track, I display some of my best flows just in case people think I’m playing around, I don’t want people to know how serious I am about being a true musician in the game. On other tracks, I talk about things in everyday life from relationships to how i’m so “swagged out” I am, haters and the nature of foreplay.
(b): GOTTA MAKE HITS
At the end of the day, making music is something I made as a routine, but now, it’s supposed to make me money and get me noticed. I have become real good at creating choruses that are catchy, and selecting out my beats that will get the people bouncing on the dancefloor, or bumping in the car. I can do all that without having to talk about smoking, drinking, killing people, sexing, or the other things that most rappers be talking about. I don’t like to talk about that stuff because that’s not what i’m about. You will get to hear a little bit more about a little of my life on this album than I usually talk about on my mixtapes, also in a true ATL fashion with a twist.
(c) GOTTA GET THE BEATS:
Well, Some people think that I was making beats before I started rapping, I hate to boast, but yeah, i’m pretty good at making beats but what i’m trying to prove is that I started getting involved music as a rapper. When I first started rapping, I didn’t have beats and I didn’t know how to make them but I knew how to play the drums well, but not professionally; besides the point; I got a little notoriety, I’m still working on getting my own beats out there as well.
On this album, I got some beats I made that I feel are gonna go hard with the public. Some of them have certain concepts, while the other beats are just fresh with an K.K.O.F. twist. My beat-making style is pretty moderate or sometimes advanced: much like Drumma Boy or Jermaine Dupri, I like to make beat patterns that are relatively somewhat complicated, I like to challenge myself to be better and more effective when it comes to my beats.
Well, since this is my first album, I decided to have no guest producers on the album. Yep, all tracks are produced by me. Most of my beats have a dirty south bounce to them, while others are east coast related. I’ve produced stuff for this underground emcee from California named A.P.T., the creator of the Obama Milli Song. He used couple of my beats on his 2 album projects, and as well as his other alter ego puppet, who he acts as Non Juan. He has an album called “909′s and Heart Flatlines”, but that’s not all, i’ve also produced tracks for other underground rappers as well, like Doggie Fresh, Lil Cheezy, Chris Wayne, just to name a few. Out of those people, A.P.T. has been creating killer successful bangers my with beats. All of my beats are made on Fruity Loops and old version of Pro Tools. Hopefully, that will get me noticed for my beat-making skills soon.
3. How About The Promotion?
I’m still working on that part of the plan but guess what, There will be music videos from me!!
Some will be in the house and shot on the green screen, while the others will have “somewhat budget” and be shot outside my house. I haven’t made an K.K.O.F. music video since May, I may pull off something, and hopefully, you will be amazed.
Beside the music videos, I will also be planning on doing stuff like: Radio Interviews, Live Interviews, Live performances at places, and all that stuff, and plus, i’m seeking for people who interested in getting a beat of mine.
And I guess that’s all I have for yall! I’m almost finished with the album, I should be finished by next week so I can send it off to iTunes and have it posted as soon as it can, I will keep you posted with the updates.

So…I Get Paid Royalties, for what?, Time to Record again!!
Okay, so check it. I heard a year ago that if artist want to make money off their music, well, Tunecore is the site whereby you can load up your music and have it sent out to the major online music stores, like Amazon, Rhapsody, Napster, and iTunes.
My musician friend from California name A.P.T. told me about the site as well. I haven’t sent a song to Tunecore yet but from A.P.T. perspective, he decided to test out the program by sending one of his most popular songs, “The Obama Milli,” to their site and i guess, the experiment worked, and every since then, he have been getting actual royalties from TuneCore that they collected from the various site his song was placed on. So, The question is, will it do the same for me? I will have to find that out myself.
I also found some more things about it. I found out that if someone goes to any online store site and buys a song from me, I get paid for it, but not only that, if someone goes to Rhapsody and preview/plays my song, I get paid 9 cents. You might don’t think that it’s not a big deal but in the end, it’s adds up with people preview songs. So, that’s mean that i’m gonna be making a little money.
Imagine this: If I had a total of maybe 1o songs streaming over at Rhapsody, even at a conservative selective number of maybe 300 streams per song, i would be making at least $30 as the total amount. This might not be a big deal, but considering that most albums sell at maybe 7.00 a single, and knowing that not all people like purchasing full albums these days, getting paid for 10 steaming songs sounds pretty so great. I should of did this earlier.
But then again, that’s not even getting into how much money would be made if the whole album sells units,
Because I’d be getting $6.00 from each album, I wouldn’t even have to sell that many albums to be straight. Okay, let’s just say if I have one album up, my album goes to the sites I just mentioned above, and each site only sells maybe at least 5 albums a month. At $7.00 profit per album from each site, that would be $35 per site, with the 5 sites, which equals $170 per month, I think!!
As of now, I don’t have any albums out. Just mixtapes, which won’t count!!
Now that I’m realizing the money to be made, I’m thinking to myself why I didn’t sign up with TuneCore earlier this year before I release “The Redprint” mixtape. At the same time, I didn’t know that my two songs “Swag Game” and “Never Been A Lame” was gonna be my most popular songs.
But, as for them songs, them songs are gonna stay free, I think it’s a little late to sell them now, on top of that, I just put out a mixtape that is the same title of my hit song. I’m also confident that my new song, which I haven’t leaked out yet, is gonna be in the same boat as the two songs I just mentioned before, but sellable, if successful. Also the items I used to record my songs with last year are nowhere near as sophisicated as the stuff I’m using now – a better computer, professional studio mic, and other stuff.
As of that, I have taken down two songs off “The Redprint” mixtape and i’m gonna re-record them, as well as other songs I put out last year, and new songs. I’m still on the 45 day hiatus but my job cut way too much of my hours, so that leaves me 4 off days for next week – so, I will have time to record songs.
I’ve also found out that it usually takes 6 weeks or more to get on all of the online sites, so maybe I should all my songs done by the end of July, sent it in August and they probably be posted in September. This is gonna be my first (debut) online album i’m working on and I gotta do some more research about any else I can find out. I’m not all that well-known but if I keep doing what I do, then it could be an automatic promotion, if that possible, and plus, people can actually google and find out who the world am I!

The Inspiration To My Beat-Making!!
This is my 4 year making beats and the thing is, I learned how to make them in a short amount of time. When I first started making beats, they were uptempo or fast paced. Most of my first set of beats were into a pop form, because I was in that kind of mode. Before I was making beats, I was using other beats, the producers who I know personally. Three of the beat-makers went to school with me. Their names were Jack Chane, J.J. Playboy & Chris Wayne. These are the reason why I decided to pursued beat-making.
Jack Chane who real name is Chane Jackson is the cousin of the other producer who I just mentioned named Chris Wayne. He was my first ever personal producer. Basically, his beats had a very close comparison to Just Blaze and The Neptunes. The beats he made was hard knocking and had you dancing. He also produced my very first mixtape “The Beginning Of King Kut” in 2002. Plus, he produced 2 more of my mixtapes, can’t remember what I called them but every song is his was pretty much fast paced and danceable, that’s the kind songs that i’m good at making. So where is he now, well, we got into an argument shorty after my 19th birthday and pretty screwed me over for money. I haven’t heard from him since then.
J.J. Playboy, real name is Jason Peterson. I met him at middle school. I was freestyling outside one day and shorty after, he came up to me and ask me do I need beats. I told him that I needed some for my 4th mixtape. He told me that he can make beats and he would like me to listen to them. He sent some beats the next day and he listened to them. The beats he made blew my mind. He gave a CD with 14 beats on them. Some of them were fast-paced and some of them with that dirty south style to them, I wanted them beats. So I asked him on the next school day how much was the CD of beats he gave me, he said that he was not planning on selling them but he charge me only $10, so I payed him and I quickly recorded song off his beats. A year later, he gave another set of beats, so I used them too. The last time I seen him was in my junior year in high school before I had to transfer to another high school called Grady High. We lost contact with each other since then. He was a great beat-maker and maybe one day, I might bump into him somewhere in Atlanta.
Chris Wayne, real name is Christian Wayne and the cousin of my former producer Jack Chane. I met him about 5 years ago when I perform at his sister’s birthday party, his sister was my ex-girlfriend. He started out as a fan of me, he would always speak to me and tell me how much he likes my music. He even freestyled for me once. We went to the same High School for 3 years and when I transferred, I didn’t see him until I moved into Decatur a year later after I graduated from high school. I happen to bump into at another venue where I was performing, he figured he’d keep up with me on the internet. 3 months later when I broke up with his sister, he contacted me on my email and ask me would I listen to his beats, I couldn’t turn that down. So I listened to them and his beats sound much different then his cousins, he was a beast on the piano. I told him I liked them and he gave me 6 beats for free. A month later, I collab on a song with him called “Them Girls Love Me“, he was putting together his first mixtape and I was gearing up for my 6th mixtape “No Pain, No Gain“. We performed the song in Riverdale at a pool party and the song became a hit. Every since then, we been putting out hits together until 2 years later, I learned how to make beats and at the time, he joined a rap group called The Young Riders. I haven’t heard from him since he joined the group, but then…I managed to bump to him in Kirkwood, my stomping ground. He had left the group and we talked. He recently just joined another unsigned rap group but we still talk to this day.
All of them people are the reason why I wanted to become my own producer. The thing is, they all are not in the same boat as me because I already got quite a buzz of me working with other artists. I produced more beats for artists than they did. I work hard each day to make sure my beats sound differently than others. My favorite genre in my profession of making beats are dirty south rap, as you can tell if you heard my songs or people who I produced song for. Like for example: A.P.T.’s upcoming song I produced for “No U Aint”, a very hype southern style beat at my best.
I also have a section on my site where you can find my production credits, but they’re not the only artists I produced songs for. Not only I can create dirty south beats, I can also remake a popular beat. As a matter of fact, I’ve remade a beat for A.P.T. puppet project Non Juan. I remade Snoop Dogg’s “Sensual Seduction” beat into a parody of Non Juan’s “Erectile Dysfunction” beat, sound almost just like it but if you listened closely, you will tell the difference. I have also remade 3 songs of Master P, which I have sold to other artists.
Now I feel like it’s my time to get recognized for my past works. I have also learned that if you give an popular artist a beats that you’ve made, it will get you attention and people will start to see that you have the skills of beat-making. The songs I produced for A.P.T. has been hits, so yeah, I make hits and I suggest that if you’re an artist who wants hits just like A.P.T., then you should give me a try and trust me, you WILL like my beats. I work so hard on them beats and it has payed off. Who said that you can’t be a rapper and make hot beats, NOTHING & NOBODY. Get with the beat-making movement of me, because i’m the #1 source for great beats with great sounds.

Who’s better King Kut or K.K.O.F.?
Well…first of all, I have to say that people still know as me King Kut, i mean the person who always says “King Kut On Fire” on the past songs I made. I admit it, at the time, my music was not the best including my unserious lyrics but I never knew people would take me so seriously.
Why I say this? because I happen to listen to the old songs I made in the past (as being under the name King Kut), it really hit me. When I did my music, I was in “play-around” mode – not being too serious about the music I make. I noticed that some of the words in my songs didn’t make sense but my choruses would not be denied. Now I say that I learned my lesson when it comes to making music, mean what you say and watch how you say them OR make a decent song without playing around. When I first started rapping, my lyrics and everything made sense but after then, I got unserious and just didn’t care, but then I realized that I was losing some fanbase and respect of my music…that hit me VERY HARD!
Now, I’m back to the REAL rappin’ man I always wanted to be. I glad someone told me that my old songs where not consider “serious”….but also, i’m amazed that people still like the “old” verson of me. Fans of my old music know me as King Kut are asking me why I changed my name and my style and I found people were upset that I changed. As for my NEW self as K.K.O.F., people are starting realize that i’m finally being serious with making good music.
Let me set the record straight for the people who know me as King Kut OR want me to turn back into my PAST self…
I am NOT the same person no more, I made a commitment to myself to come out more harder and focus than ever, it doesn’t work that way anymore…althrough, I still got that drive but as for my NEW self, it’s time for a change – and change is NOW!
If you don’t like the way I do things, then keep it moving because what you remember about King Kut, you will not see anymore. If you’re stuck on past King Kut, then get out of that stage and recongnize the NEW verson of me, K.K.O.F. of course. God has gave a second to redeem myself once again and so far, I proved it…but my music has also changed too, I do this for your respect, as I said in my song “I Do This” and yes, i’m still producing beats and trying to take it far as I can. This is a new year and it’s not too late to do it again, i’m still learning how to push myself far as I want. My music is gonna deturmine which is me is better, i’m liking my new self, I happen to get fanbase and performing place – which is great. I wouldn’t change it for anything and NOBODY will not spoil it, if you thinking about trying to stop me, DON’T!
I am a changed man and in the hands of GOD! It time to do things right people!
Speaking of music, I am working on a brand new mixtape/EP that I think will be my most best mixtape to come, it will have some crunk, club and inspirational songs on it. You will be not disappointed when you hear this mixtape, plus now I got a new mic and more bangin’ beats. I will tell you more about the mixtape later.
I hope you like the new ME and forget about the past, after all, God made it happen and without GOD, I wouldn’t be nowhere. I pray everyday to avoid the past and look forward at the future. That’s all for now! God bless you all!

UPDATE: Music + Life – 2010
Greetings people, Happy New Year to yall.
The new year is here and i’m ready to start new things in my life, things has already turning good but it’s a couple things is incomplete that I have not gotten done yet, but no worries because I setting expectations to get them done. One of my expectations of this year is keep praying and keep god in my life for better or worse and everything will be alright.
As for music, I have found ways to make my music a little better and fun and i’m still doing music videos, it just that i’m not posting up videos every week, but I haven’t produce a song for anybody since A.P.T. (if you familar with him) – i’m just going with the flow but at the moment, I was suggested to NOT look for any one to produce beats for except A.P.T. and my artists – if you happen to ask, yes, I have artist. I have goals to start my own label in the future.
I decided to take you back few years early from how I started doing music to being a rapper and made my mark as a producer, plus in the hopes of comparing it to where I’d be a year from then.
Wow, I have came a LONG way!
I’m looking at my now “current” status, things have improved for me, and glad i’m able to have a comparison to where I once was. For those of you who are curious as to what type of changes have occurred, what follows to back in 2001/present” comparison. Check this out:
2001 – 2006 (back then)
* I lived in Atlanta, GA.
* I was in middle/High school, rush to graduate because school started to get on my nerves and couldn’t have a day off to do my own thing.
* I didn’t no girlfriend, never went on a date because at the time, I was extremely too shy and was NOT in a rush to find one yet.
* I didn’t have no job in 2001 -2004. In 2005, my school program got me a job but couldn’t handle it, so I ended up quitting it.
* The studio I was using was when I was living at my grandmother house with my parents, I used my room, which is also called the den. It was consisted of: my demo audio & video office program, my grandmother’s computer, a radio shack vocals microphone and a cheap pair of headphone I found on a bus, didn’t have the greatest sound but oh well.
FROM 2007 – AUGUST 2008
* I lived in Decatur, GA (McAfee)
* Was going to a program that was helping me find a job.
* Still didn’t have a girlfriend but just started dating.
* Was in a rap group but that next year, one of my most respected friends got killed in a car accident, and have changed since then.
* At the time, my recording studio consisted of: a house that my aunt was staying in, my magix music maker 2005 deluxe program (on my desktop computer), the demo verson of friuty loops program (I found a way to save the beats I made – even through I have to transfer them to my other program to arrange the beat); the demo verson of magix audio & video office program (a.k.a. my beat arranger); my radio shack microphone (70% quality) and some earbuds – my other headphones I had back then was broken.
FROM SEPTEMBER 2008 – 2009
* I live in Decatur, GA (Glenwood)
* Working at a job, which was easy but differcult at times. I applied full time but the postion I was working was only part-time and also was looking for another job but no luck for getting a call from them.
* Was in a relationship from June 2008 – November 2008, then two later, was dating then found myself in another relationship – which lasted for 6 months.
* My income at the moment was not that good for me but it’s a good thing that I live rent free. I had a cellphone bill to pay every month and the rest was to buy stuff I really needed.
* My current recording studio consisted of: my 4 bedroom house – the family room which is also called the den, my magix music maker 2005 deluxe edition program (on my computer); demo fruity loops program, my computer, my magix audio & video office program, my 2 camaras and my radio shack mic.
NOW (2010)
* I live in Decatur, GA
* I have two jobs, one of them is the same one I been had, they started giving more hours from time to time and the other one is at a skating rink, which I love because I have the exciting part of the job and it also kills time while i’m there.
* I’m signed to a mixtape label – Nu Sound Entertainment, which I also get payed for featuring on the label artist’s songs and making my own.
* I don’t have no girlfriend but currently dating 2 girls, which one of them happens to be female rapper and the other one is a dancer. I haven’t really found the “right one” yet but with God’s blessing’s, hopefully, it will happen.
* My income at the moment is going through some up’s and down’s but good. I have a future job ahead waiting for me but i’m waiting for the word and pretty soon, it will be my future income, it will be great for me.
* My current recording studio consist of: the same 4 bedroom house, my computer (which is still slow at times); my laptop, my magix music maker 2005 deluxe edition program; my upgraded fruity loops program (for making beats); my magix audio & video office program, my samson USB microphone (professional studio quality mic); a set of my sony dynamic headphones I brought from a yard sale last year. It has a great sound too, and I still use my 10.0 megapixel camara for fliming stuff but I also have a webcam that came with my laptop, which I used a few time from here and there. Ain’t nothing wrong with having options.
And that’s it. Now i’m perform at a few parties and doing other stuff. Yall fans is the reason I do this, i’m glad that I found my talent because if it wasn’t for that, I wouldn’t have nothing and that’s something i’m thankful for. Also, i’m exceeding my expectation to do postive things but why I changed for the better, I will talk about that later down the line. See Ya Later and god bless you.

More Harder and Focused Than Ever!
I don’t know if it’s the music that inspired me or it’s the haters that be hating on my more but whatever it is, it really got me into song-writing mode. Every since I changed my name, I been focused to come out more harder than I ever was, my music has caught the attention of fans and so far, everything been working (somewhat) in my way. All of a sudden, making beats has not been a priority to me for now. I’m still beat-making but I realize that it’s not helping me suceed the way I want to… except producing for A.P.T. of course!
For my music in the future, you is not gonna hear that original King Kut music, why? because I changed my name and I changed my whole style in music. That’s what I mean when I say i’m coming more harder and focused then ever. My objective is to attack the hater and make good music, plus earn some respect. As of now, i’m working on some brand new music with different producers, I don’t know if there might be another mixtape or not but if there is, it will come out later of next year. I’m doing something that I don’t usually in music but let’s just say that i’m little more cocky than I ever been – besides, I used to be that way before and some of my fans from way back told me that i’ve gone a little soft but I figured out how to turn that situation around. The haters also inspired me and for some, I turned haters into lovers, it’s not easy being me but somebody gots to do it. You will see the change in me and you will like it. You will know the different between King Kut and K.K.O.F. – I have spoken!
