Fake Trapper [Official Video]

This video for the song “Fake Trapper”, available now on Kaptain Kutta’s “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta” and “KuttaStyle” mixtape!

ABOUT THE SONG:

I’m going make the insights short because as of late, i been kinda lazy and now, i’m tired of typing a long insight to my videos, which i will also make an announcement regarding that in a few weeks.

The song is about these rapper trying to be “trap rapper”, just in case you don’t know what a trap rapper is, a trap rapper is a person who have experience on the streets selling drugs and rap about it. There is more to it. Most of the people thinks it is also about robbing and people who have weapons but that don’t define it.

Anyway, it’s some rappers that wannabe trap rappers, which is NOT talent at all, especially if you have no experience. These are rappers by example that does has experience at trapping: Gucci Mane, OJ Da Juiceman, Young Jeezy, T.I., Yo Gotti, Waka Flocka and more but there is also rappers who don’t have experience at that and yet talk about it in their music. There is a couple rappers I can name, like this person who got signed to a record deal at 17 when his dance song broke out, since then, he fell off after his 2nd album and his 3rd album poor sales proved that point. I’m not gonna say his name but now you see why people say Hip Hop is dead but since i’m a underground artist, I have nothing to do with that.

So… I had to make a song to let people know about these wannabe trap rappers, the original song has my artist Bossie Breed on it but you find that version on my 1st mixtape “The Year Of Kaptain Kutta”, you can also find the song without Bossie Breed on the “KuttaStyle” mixtape at www.KKOFmusic.com/freemixtapes. The beat was produced by me was 50% flipped from Waka Flocka’s Robot Rapper song.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

The video was another simple music viral video and no need to go thru with that.

That’s it for the insights. I’m dropping a mixtape Monday called “Street Fever”, it a duo mixtape by me and Bossie Breed. I put together the mixtape just to hold you over until my new official mixtape drops in the near future. More details coming soon. You can view the cover/artwork and track list at www.KKOFmusic.com/freemixtapes and will be dropping Monday, Dec. 5th at 2pm on HotNewHipHop.com – Check out the countdown here >>> http://www.hotnewhiphop.com/kaptain-kutta-street-fever-mixtape.36122.html

K.K.O.F. – Box Kutta (feat. Jorge Fuenez) video!

This is the music video is for the song “Box Kutta” (feat. Jorge Fuenez)

Song available on K.K.O.F.’s “The Redprint 3″ mixtape

FREE DOWNLOAD – Click HERE to download mixtape

ABOUT THE SONG:

Well, this all started when I was working on my artist Jorge Fuenez mixtape “The Contraband Man”, but even before that, I was bored one night, so I decided to make a beat, I wasn’t aware for what I was gonna use it for yet but I wanted to do a hype style beat, so I made one and it was hype to def.

I think it was about a week after I made the beat, I check my email and I got the verse vocals from Jorge Fuenez to mix with a song called “Humility” from his latest mixtape “The Contraband Man”, which is a classic mixtape by the way.

Than a couple weeks later as I was in the studio recording songs, I happen to go through my files in my hard drive and found the same beat I made a couple weeks back, so I was in recording mode, I wrote about 60% of the verses but didn’t have no hook yet, after I wrote the verses, I went ahead and recorded the verse I wrote and then after I recorded, I decided to go in my files and find a sample where I can place a chorus on the song. I listened to Jorge’s verse from Humility , I listened until I got to the last line of his verse, in his that line he said “I look sharp, I rock shutters, you can fight me, or you can box kutta”, I thought that was the tightest line I ever heard. BTW, Kutta is the 2nd “K” in my name K.K.O.F. (King Kutta On Fire), so I used as a hook because it kinda sounded like it could be a chorus for song. I named the song “Box Kutta”, yeah I know it’s crazy. Jorge had no idea I sampled his verse and made it in a hook but he liked it. I think he likes it when I sample his verses. Thanks Fueezy!!

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, we was supposed to do the video back in the beginning of the year but Jorge had school at the time and didn’t have time so I had to leave it alone for a while but I almost forgot about doing the video but i’m glad he reminded because I wanted to do the video so bad and I really like this song.

Since Jorge was finished with school, he went ahead and did some clips to the video. He sent me one clip but did two different scenes of his part where he mouthing his words, one shot was regular, which was toward the camera and the other one was him facing towards the side.

I ended up shooting my two clips 3 days after he sent his to me. One of my shot was in my backyard and the other shot was with me on all red with the Kanye West shades on. Oh, there’s also a shot where I was drinking Pepsi, haha, had to do something crazy.

It took me an hour and 47 minutes to edit this video. It was worth it. That’s all I got for now. Lookout for my new mixtape “Regeneration: The Hip Hop Recovery” dropping June 20th!

K.K.O.F. – Sounds Like Music Video

This is the video of K.K.O.F.’s song “Sounds Like” (Produced By K.K.O.F.)

Song available on K.K.O.F.’s mixtape “Go Hard Or Go Home”, Free Download, click HERE

ABOUT THE SONG:

Usually, I always explain step by step of how I came up with the song but on some real ish, I can’t remember all of how I come up with this song, I forgot when I recorded this song.

Since I can’t remember exactly how I come up with the song and when I come up with it, i’m just gonna go by what I do remember about it. Might not be much insight to the song.

All I know that I was going through some beats that was in my hard drive, I found one beat I wanted to make something boomin but inspirational song from, so I grabbed it and wrote it to it. I wanted to send a message to the rappers that if you a rapper, you don’t have to rap about trapper just to sound like a trap rapper, in case you don’t know what trap rap is, trap rap is negative music about drugs, violence and all that other non-sense. Imma keep it real, I listen to some of the trap music but not all of it, I listen to Gucci Mane (CEO of Bricksquad who made the hit songs “Lemonade”, “Wasted” and more!), who has recently calmed down on some of the trap rap but he also does non-trap rap, which is even better. All the other from Bricksquad is either wannabe trappers or just to hop on Gucci’s and Waka Flocka’s bandwagon. Speaking on Waka, he is signing all of these rappers that has no lyricism, that’s including himself as well but he said himself that he don’t care about lyrics, but one thing for certain, he is indeed a hitmaker, so I can’t front on that.

Anyway, back to the topic….

So the meaning of this song was to tell rap artists that you can use trap beats and make a great song, for me, it’s my specialty. I made a trap beat for my song “Never Been A Lame” and it became a hit song. It’s my most popular ever and i’m proud of what I did, but also to all artist who uses trap beats, be careful about the music you make because some listeners are closed minded, meaning that they will only listen to the beat instead of the whole song together.

For me, I like to put some lyricism and strong messages in trap beats because to me, all of that combines a hit. If the beat is not a catchy and dancey type song, it’s not a hit. Some rappers like to use other beats besides trap beats, but don’t get it twisted, I use other beats too, like pop, rock and jazz type beats but my style is mainly party/dance songs and inspiration catchy song over trap style beats. I had people send me beats that were so wack that I had to trash them. That’s why I have personal producers on my team, like Chris Wayne and JJ Playboi. Both of them has contributed and reached out to me in my music. They are also a part of my success as an artist today.

Dang, I keep going off topic. Oh well, you get the point of the song, I hope.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well, you know i’m back with the bootleg videos, well…you should already know that by now….

For the video, I was planning to do 2 shots in the video but I ended up doing 3. The first two was in my backyard but in two different places, one was on side of my shed where I storage extra stuff and the other scene was next to the shed but at the end of the fence. My backyard is kinda big but not as big as the previous house on Snapfinger, which I moved out on September of last year

The last scene was in my room, I was not gonna shoot that scene but I was kinda bored so I shot it anyway. I kept kinda simple as always.

The total video editing time, 1 hour and 45 minutes at 1am in the morning, smh. I touched the video up with some effects and stuff. Should be good enough for now!

That’s it for now but in the meantime, enjoy this one and please share this video with your friends. More videos coming soon!

ABOUT THE STREET ALBUM/MIXTAPE:

After I released my first ministry mixtape “Ministry Music Vol. 1″, I ran out of new ideas for writing and recording ministry songs, so I went back to doing the regular rap music again since I had a lot of ideas for them.

While doing that, I decided to go back and do a 3rd installment of The Redprint mixtape trilogy, since it’s a catchy mixtape to the fans. Between the first and previous Redprints, they were good but not as great as I wanted them to be, so I figured out what was missing but at the same time, I wanted to step up some things musically. I noticed the songs that people liked was the songs with the catchy hooks and the songs that were mostly lyrical.

When I did the first Redprint mixtape, it popped off with a hit song called “Never Been A Lame”, it’s not that much popular but to me, it’s a hit because it played on 3 radio stations and that is a big accomplishment for me, now i’m looking to top that with this mixtape. I also created a rap genre called “Swag Music” and branded myself “King Of Swag Music”, since nobody in the industry or underground has that title. My style of music has always been about swag, crunk and inspirational because them songs seem to do the best for me.

So, I decided to add more lyricism into my music and throw down some catchy hooks in a whole mixtape of new songs I created. This time, there are no freestyles and I managed to get a lot of collabs for the album, the most collabs i’ve done ever. This is a MUST DOWNLOAD EXCLUSIVE!!

That’s it. Make sure you get your copy of RP3 today for free and help this one do numbers – the download link is above or go to www.KKOFmusic.com/FreeMixtapes

K.K.O.F. – “God Over Everything” (Young Jeezy’s “All White Everything” Spiritual Parody) Music Video!

This music video is from K.K.O.F. “God Over Everything” (“All White Everything” Spiritual Mini-Parody)

SONG AVAILABLE ON K.K.O.F.’s “MINISTRY MUSIC VOL. 1″ MIXTAPE EP, Clck HERE to download.

ABOUT THE SONG:

While I was recording and putting songs together for my album “Ministry Music Vol. 1″, I was looking to turn a song into an spiritual parody. There was some songs that I wanted to parody I could not turn into spiritual parody, like Slim Dunkin’s “Twitter That”, Soulja Boy’s “Speakers Going Hammer”, Nicki Minaj’s “Moment 4 Life” and more. It’s actually hard trying to turn a regular song into a spiritual parody than just doing a regular spoof parody.

This was around when I released my previous mixtape “Swagg Season”, which was early October 2010. Basically, my ministry mixtape is not full of spiritual parodies, so I was not really trying to do too much of parodies, but I did knock my first spiritual parody song “OH LET’S DO IT”, which is the exact same title for Waka Flocka’s song, that song was very easy to write a parody to.

Let me tell how this song came about…

I was on Twitter chatting with my Jorge Fuenez and Supaman when all of a sudden, I started listening to Young Jeezy’s “All White Everything” song. I think the song came out around August or September but then I was on livemixtapes.com and I found Young Jeezy’s mixtape “The Last Laugh” and I downloaded it. I didn’t listen to the whole mixtape but except just 3 songs on it. One out of them 3 songs were “All White Everything” , it was another song I liked on the mixtape but I couldn’t find the instrumental to it, however, I found an instrumental to “All White Everything” but it was produced by someone else. I figured since it sound just like it, I decided to use it.

I didn’t know what I was gonna use for yet so it was just sitting around for a few days and BOOM, I thought of an song idea. Since I was in “Jesus Christ” mode, my song idea for the hook was “God Over Everything”, basically, I used everytime Jeezy says “white”, I replaced it with “God” and that’s when new ideas popped up in my head. I kinda knew this was a great idea for a christian rap song, and on top of that, it’s positive.

Writing the song wasn’t that hard but it took me half an hour to finish it. I didn’t have anything else to do so I used my time for writing songs. Right after I wrote the song, I recorded. The record process actually took me 30 minutes, the longest recording session ever in my life. It took me that long because I kept messing up while recording. Every artist goes through that process but I was determined to finish the song. Plus on top of that, I had to recording the hook, 3 stack vocals for the hook, and maybe two stack vocals for the verse.

I only did one verse because I was kinda lazy, I can’t lie on that one but at the same time, I wanted the song to be a little short, I don’t make songs long like I use to.

I let my friends SupaMan (my artist from Swagg Tyme Nation) and Brittany Black took a listen and they loved the song. It was crunk to them. I’m glad I was creative on this song because this song is spiritual enough to get people closer to God.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

The video was basic but a little different. Didn’t really have a idea for the video, So I just stuck to the original idea.

I shot two green screen shots of me on the green screen. One of them was me with my “Ministry Music Vol. 1″ mixtape cover in the background, the other one was a gray-ish wall looking type background.

The shots came out alright but spots were on the side with the MM Vol.1 cover, because it’s not enough light of either side but also I didn’t have that much room to shoot because if I stand too close to the screen my shadow will show, which it did on the second shot but I figured out how to get rid of it.

I decided to shoot some scene from outside because I just didn’t want them two shots of me in the video. A few weeks ago, it was snowing here in Decatur, so I stepped out in the freezing cold and shot just the sky first, then shot a little bit of the snow, the snow was kinda melting because it was a few days later when it stopped snowing here. I also shot the dog, his name is Roscoe by the way. I caught standing there but usually, he’s a very wild dog. I’m kinda surprised that he didn’t try to run up and jump on me but sometimes, he will stand there because my dad usually gives him whoopins for hardheaded, yes he is that wild.

…and that was the ending of all the video shooting.

So after at that shooting, I took my time to edit the video. I actually shot the video two weeks ago and started editing the video 3 days later but I didn’t spend all day editing the video, I actually edited 30% of the video everyday until I was finished. I basically finished editing the video this morning and it turned out great. Might not be the best videos but it’s different than others.

And that’s it.

I’m gonna starting including Roscoe in my video because he loves his camera. My next video is gonna be “Live By The Lord” but this time, the video is gonna have a movie type music video. I’m gonna be a little creative on this one. It might take me a while because i’m moving in a few weeks, again… Yep, i’m excited about moving from the place I stay but at the same time, I hate moving. I will explain about that later but in the meantime, share this music video with your friends. Enjoy!

Rolling With The Mixtapes!

Okay, so yall probably thinking, why is he keep coming out with new mixtapes…

Well, basically, I been in recording mode lately and for all the tracks I made, I can’t fit more than 23 songs on the mixtape unless the songs are at least two minutes. They have to be CD worthy.

Last year, I dropped 5 mixtapes (The Redprint, Swagg Season, The Redprint 2, KKOF ON THE BEAT & Ministry Vol. 1), these mixtapes has a lot of bangers on it, plus, people download them. I love to see my work pay off.

I have 2 more mixtapes coming out, one of them is sort of a mini-mixtape (I Am Kutta: Prelude To RP3) that introduces the 2nd official mixtape (The Redprint 3). My mini-mixtape “I Am Kutta” will be out on January 23rd, and my major mixtape “The Redprint 3″ will drop on February 1st. After them mixtapes, I will slow down on the mixtapes, i’m taking my time to work on my 2nd spiritual album “Ministry Music Vol.2″, which will be out in May. I will talk about that later.

For now, i’m giving you swag music at it’s finest. No fake music. I’m also taking up some time to get back on the ball with the music videos again. I have to continue to expand my presence on YouTube and as you can see, my music is getting a lot better than what i made last year but i’m no rookie, I been doing this for 11 years, I feel like a little legendary, which i will become soon.

I will release the about the “I Am Kutta” mini-mixtape within a few days. Stay tuned…

K.K.O.F. Makes A “Lex Luger” Type Beat!

Yesterday, I was playing on Fruity Loops, techinally, making a beat for my artist for the new project he is currently working on and thought of an idea. Basically, I was listening to Juicy J (Three 6 Mafia member) and Lex Luger (Gucci Mane’s 1017 BrickSquad Producer) newest mixtape “Rubberband Business”, i’m not gonna front but it’s a great mixtape. Lex Luger produced all the beat on the mixtape and by listening to them inspired me to make a “Lex Luger” type beat.

I went to my Fruity Loops program and setup my instruments, but then I thought that I should record me making the beat. For all producers all there: record a video of yourself making instrumental beats on YouTube get you decent views and also proof of you being a producer, it can be good for a resume or somebody could be scouting for an unsigned producer and get you plenty opportunity to make some great money. It’s helps a lot, trust me.

So, in the video, I broke down every single step into the instrument into making the beat, and you can hear the final product at the end. Check out the video above!

Oh yeah, BTW: I will be doing a YouTube beat-making project real soon. I will tell you details about it later.

ABOUT THE MIXTAPE:

Well, after realizing that some artists I worked with or made beats for became hit songs but I produced way more songs for people this year then last year.

Basically, I came up with the idea of songs I produced for artists and making a mixtape out of them. Besides the 18 songs, I produced a lot more songs than that. I also want to get my credit on all the beats that I produced for these artists.

So I decided to make a mixtape called “KKOF ON THE BEAT” to showcase to beats I produced for people. All of the songs are the most recognized or popular songs from these artists albums and mixtapes, even including myself.

I also threw in two of my instrumental beats with the mixtape as a “thank you” for downloading the mixtape, how great is that.

That’s all, make sure you preview the mixtape over at datpiff and download your copy of “KKOF ON THE BEAT” today!

INTO THE MIXTAPE:

After my debut album “The King With Swagga” released, I stop recording songs to focus on my other artists projects.

While I was doing that, I had planned another mixtape together, which I was not sure if I wanted to release these songs and make a mixtape out of them. These were songs that did not make “The King With Swagga” album and ended up on the “Swagg Season” mixtape. Also when I found out that I did not sell that much album, I made up my mind to not put up another one on iTunes – but then when I released the “Swagg Season” mixtape, I noticed that on iTunes, it was a song on the album was selling pretty well, that song was called “Cookie Monster Man”. Basically, that’s an old song I made 5 years ago when I was living in an apartment with my family. The song is not lyrically the best, it was just a song I played around on.

Anyway, The song inspired me to get in recording mode. Also I realized that “Swagg Season” was getting a lot of downloads and people liked certain songs on the mixtape. Them songs they were refering to was either catchy or something that was heart-felt like, then I also realized that my last mixtape “The Redprint” was a classic in the making.

Even though I released “Swagg Season” there were still some finished product that I had not released yet. So I got most of the unreleased songs, took the 2 the songs I leaked from RP2 on the Swagg Season mixtape and added them into my this project. I been talking about The Redprint 2 for the longest and anticipated the mixtape, like I did my last 3 projects.

The Redprint 2 was planned to be release in January 2011 but I felt that I couldn’t wait, I don’t know why but I always wanted to do a Redprint trilgy mixtape. I wanted to go a different direction from the first version. I wanted it to be soulful, inspirational, mellow and catchy with a little twist.

That’s all. Make sure you download the mixtape, it’s free – if you wish to purchase to CD for $5.99, contact me at via email kkofmusic@hotmail.com. Get or download your copy of “The Redprint 2″ today!

Two Beats A Day!

I know people be thinking how I have the drive and energy to do all the things I do. They are also amazed of how focused I am with the passion of  this music. At my birthday party this past Saturday, October 9th, people was expressing my inspiration of my ability to do whatever I want to do and chasing for my dreams.

Well, some of this i’ve heard before but they’re right.

The main reason I like to do it is because I love it, not because of fame or money, which on the money i’m gonna need for the most part. I do this because I have a deep passion for it but I also do it because I get bored easy. I go looking for stuff to do, basically like I said before, I’m taking a long break from working at a job so I can clear my head and get the free time I deserve. Might sound weird but everything and everybody is not perfect.

Besides all outside the world, i’m a musician and a focused entertainer. This website is one of the reasons from keeping me bored, and promoting my music at that. I’m also working on building up on my label Swagg Tyme Nation and my artists of that label, as well as their projects.

These artist will be featured on this website in the near future and their project, I have one in selective i’m working on. I’m currently making beats for this artist of mine, he is from here in Georgia but he portray an bootleg mexican rapper from mexico but very funny. Kinda like a comedian with a rap style to it. His newest project will have the majority of my beats and my other artists will be on his project as well. That’s one of the things I do to keep from being bored.

The other thing I do is: work on music and shoot videos. No need to detail on this one.

Anyway, let me get to the point…Every since I left my job, I been doing my music but when all of that stuff is done, I have nothing to do. Besides making music and videos, I have decided to make 2 beats (instrumentals) a day, except the days when i’m too busy doing other stuff. I decided to do this is because I think that since my beats are good enough for hits for other artists, it’s better to be prepared, you never know when something happen. There is an opportunity of a lifetime might be coming soon, plus people are also watching your talent and every move. The move is to be prepared.

I have made hits for other underground artists and also the ones haven’t mentioned yet but I can make just or almost about a beat for any genre. My main genre is Hip Hop, the main genres I am really good at, I have proven that time and time again, and i’m learning other styles of how I can make a hip hop beat. Some of them might be simple and other might be advanced. I really like to challenge myself by doing advanced rap instrumentals. Right now, I got at least 20 to 30 beats that can be used on anything, like maybe TV shows, events or of course, music. Plus…in the process, it will make me some hard earned cash. Maybe someone might need a beat that fits a project and I can choose from the beat collection I have, which is a good way I can get paid. I will be looking forward to sell these beats as well.

I might as well do two beats a day since I have anything to do besides doing house chores or ride with my dad somewhere, after all that is done, I get bored. I could of did this while I was still working when my job was cutting my hours. I can have a catalogue of music for people to shop for.

My beats has gotten a lot of good feedback, so obviously, people know that I might can fit in right with the industry producer and i’m talented at that. I’m ready for success to hit my way and nothing will stop me from that. Either you have it or you don’t, if you don’t have it, you can learn to be successful with just the tools and you’re ready for that right opportunity to come your way, but that’s if you put your mind and energy into it.

New Beats Coming Soon!

What’s up my peoplez,

Well, I been on my music thing for a while but every since July 2010, I slacked up off the beats, which I have a legit reason why I did it. I slacked off the beats because the people of Paypal terminated my paypal account, which i’m still trying to understand why but I plan to make a new one as soon as I figure out a good promoting plan to sell my beats.

I have proven to have some great quality beats and I know how to remake certain artist beats. For example below:

Video Above: Non Juan’s (A.P.T.’s puppet character) “Erectile Dysfunction” parody of Snoop Dogg’s “Sensual Seduction” song (Produced By ME!)

As for my recent beats i’ve produced for others:

Song Above: Da Christian Wit Swagga “Can’t Sit Down” (my cousin, the person who I collaborated on the Swag Game song!)

If you would like see the rest of my music production a.k.a. my beatmaking skills, click HERE

So if you want a custom made or remake a beats for you, holla at me at via email kkofmusic@hotmail.com, my facebook page at www.Facebook.com/KKOFmusic or my Twitter @KKOF. My beats are affordable at a profitable price. If you want a hit song, buy a beat from me and you will get one.

In the meantime, my birthday is saturday meaning i’ll be turning 24 and i’m two birthday parties thrown on Friday and Saturday. Thursday, the busyness will begin. On the otherside of that, i’m working on getting my beats out to other artist, even the ones in the industry so I can make some money, been thinking about getting signed to a record deal as a producer as well. I have improved my beat-making and I always get good feedback from people about my beats. I believe that it will work for me in the long run and help me get rich, well…something like that!

So…I guess that what I can say for right now, and no, i’m NOT posting my beats on soundclick, having beats laying around on the internet doesn’t always work, you got to have a back up for that stuff, like sitting face to face with someone who willing to hear the beats. I will keep you posted about the beats. But for now, enjoy my mixtape Swagg Season and please share this link and this site to your friends.

and yes…I am on Facebook – www.Facebook.com/KKOFmusic

INSIGHT/ABOUT THE MIXTAPE:

The last mixtape I released was “The Redprint”, weeks later, it became a classic to people. It also lead me to drop my first official album “The King With Swagga” in August 2010. This is mixtape number 3, but techinally my 9th. The most anticipated and the last mixtape of 2010. This mixtape is intended to help the people in the streets, stopping the violence, getting rid of the drugs and keeping it positive, this is not just a mixtape but an urban classic prequel to my 2011 mixtape world premiere: RP2 a.k.a. The Redprint 2, more info about that when it’s around that time…but what I told about the mixtape in the previous blog is not all the details of how it came together.

After I released “The Redprint” mixtape, I started coming up with new songs, and new ideas for beats. One of the songs I made was inspired by one of my church friends, “Look At Me” was one of them songs. I recorded that song back in April but then in the summer, I had a couple fans ask me to put my music on iTunes and stuff because they thought they worth, plus once I figured out that i’d get payed for the songs they purchase, so I went for it and started working on new songs for the album. The “King With Swagga” album released on August 3, 2010. My last album sell was on September 9th, I haven’t sold a single or an album since then, I don’t know if it’s the songs on the album or not. Now I find myself regretting releasing the album because of that.I worked hard on the album but at least sold over 5 units.

Now it’s October and i’m back to releasing free music again, which lead me to this exclusive mixtape called “Swagg Season!”

This mixtape is intended to show people that how much I love making music, helping spread the positive swag movement, life and a prequel to my other upcoming 2011 exclusive release “RP2 aka The Redprint 2!”. Also includes my Kuttastyle single (an no thinking-type freestyle), an 8bar freestyle song called “Haterade!”, plus my newer songs includes “The Streets”, a song about the life of the poor people on the street (Produced by ME!) and “Paycheck” an unmixed version produced by ME. I produced 8 songs on this mixtape…

So, check it out! It’s a good EXCLUSIVE mixtape, and I hope you like it!!

New Mixtape Coming Soon or SOONER!

Okay, so the last mixtape I dropped was “The Redprint”, which one of my most classic mixtapes i’ve ever done. I haven’t dropped an official mixtape since March 3rd but now i’m back on the mixtapes, again.

But…in the meantime: I been making beats for other artist so I can make some money and also have been getting my songs and beats copyrighted, plus i’m working on a way to reach out to more people so they can hear my music. For these past few weeks, I been recording new songs and onto to that, I decided to add the two songs that did not make my debut album “The King With Swagga” because they wasn’t finished in time before the album came out, plus I found some other songs that I did this year that I never put out. This mixtape will be a prequel to my major 2011 mixtape…

THE REDPRINT 2, yep. The Redprint journey is not over yall!!

But also for free music that people to listen to. The mixtape is finished and is in the process of getting mixing and mastered. I will be releasing the mixtape single sometime next week. I don’t know if there is gonna be a video to promote the mixtape but there is definitely not a possiblablity of a video because for one, in my house, there is not much places to shoot them and second, I don’t have no lighting equipment for my green screen. The mixtape got a couple a hits on it. It might be my best mixtape but it’s an K.K.O.F. exclusive.

I’m planning on releasing the mixtape sometime in October. That’s all I got for now. Peace!

K.K.O.F. – “Carbon Copyz” Music Video!

This video is for K.K.O.F.’s song “Carbon Copyz” (Produced By K.K.O.F.), to download this song, click HERE

ABOUT THE SONG:

Not much to say about the song but basically, I had the beat for a long while, the beat was just laying around, but then when I was listening to the beat, I thought of someone who I didn’t like way back from high school who would do the exact things I would do, he had the same government name I have, which is by the way my real name is Adrian and yadda yadda yadda. Later I wrote the song and got to recording the song.

Then afterwards, I had got done finishing my album “The King With Swagga”. I thought since I didn’t have no new music coming out, I can put the song out as a new song and to promote my album. Days later, I had already posted the song. The itself was not planned to be on the album but due an unfinished song I had no time to finish, I had to replace the song. The concept of the song is me attacking the copy cats. Simple enough well put!!

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

I had another thing plan for video but I was kinda too lazy to do it, so I just did two plain shots of me mouthing the words. They the same shots but slight different, one shot is without my shades and the other one is with my shades. I shot them in my room. I wish I could shoot on my green screen but I couldn’t because I need lights, I can’t shoot my green screen without my lights or it will not work.  I also don’t have a lot a place to shoot my videos because I moved into another house.

As for the rest of the video, I looked up some pictures that I had the words “Carbon Copy” or things in that nature and included them in the video. The editing time for the video took me 2 hours.

This is probably gonna be the last song I do a video from “The King With Swagga” album. You probably won’t see videos from me for a while until I get lights for my green screen, which will probably take a long while because I don’t have a job at the moment, at the same time, i’m taking a hiatus from working at a job for a while but the only way to get me to do videos on the fly, it’s up to you, I say that to say for you to please, get my album “The King With Swagga” on iTunes by clicking HERE

That’s all I have for now. Oh yeah, check out my first album review ever for Gucci Mane’s “The Appeal” album here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuXLHcq5JqA

K.K.O.F. – “Swag Music” Video!

This video is for the song “Swag Music” (Produced By K.K.O.F.), Song appears on K.K.O.F.’s “The King With Swagga” album

To download K.K.O.F.’s “The King With Swagga” album, click HERE

ABOUT THE SONG:

I really don’t have much to say about the song but basically, I was in the midst of making The King With Swagga and I had a beat I had made back last year. I supposed to give the beat to A.P.T. but somehow, it wasn’t in the folder along with the rest of the beats where I sent a stack of beats to A.P.T., but then I knew that I would use the beat anyway, so since I was at the time working on the beats for his Non Juan project, the beat was laying around and also, I forgot I had the beat because it wasn’t in my hard drive. I usually make a beat, mix it then transfer the beats to my passport hard drive, but at that time, I didn’t have one, so the beat was just sitting around in my old washed up computer, which is where I currently produce and mix my beats.

When I decided to make the album, I had found the beat, so I copied it to my hard drive and later wrote to the beat. Technically, I compared the song to “Swag Game”, so I just wrote the song about haters, how much I hate skinny jeans/tight clothes, added a mini-metiphor and my own definition of swagga. As for the chorus, very much simplistic on my part but I ran out of hooks for that song…and that’s it.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

The video was pretty much repeating what I done in my last videos. I couldn’t use the green screen because (1): I don’t have the right light equipment for the green screen and (2): I have took the green screen down and packed it up because i’m moving to my new home on Wednesday.

I shot this video 5 times, Actually I shot one of the sections last week, I could’ve finished last week but I was kinda lazy, that shot was the one with the almost pink-ish/purple background, which is a bed spread on the back door because my mom took the regular curtains down. I also shot 3 more shots, 2 of them had messed up quality and one was clear. I’m not gonna go into details about the others. The editing time for the video was 2 hours.

The song/beat itself sounds like T.I. or Young Jeezy style. I have one more video i’m making for a song from “The King With Swagga” album, which i’m gonna ended making by the end of next week when I move into my new home; by the way, I have a mixtape that just had released by Nu Sound Entertainment, not me. It’s called “I Am Kutta”, you can download the mixtape for free by clicking HERE, basically, it’s not lyrically the best mixtape but could’ve did better, but then again, I was NOT in rapping mode, when i’m not in rapping mode, my music will not be lyrically the best but one thing I know, RP2 a.k.a. The Redprint is coming real soon folks and I promise you is gonna like it. That’s all for now. Peace!

-K.K.O.F.

Focus On Music & Videos!

Ok, So, I am on a slight beat-making hiatus, Right now, i’m focusing my energy on music videos and songs, but on top of that, i’m getting ready to move next week on Wednesday. I’m currently packing my stuff up and other stuff i’m dealing with.

Recently, I thought about starting over on my music career. The way I started my music back in 2000, not the way I pictured, so with that, I have threw away some of my King Kut stuff, I released within the last 7 years. I also finishing up songs that did not make my previous project. Speaking of “finishing up”, there was 5 songs I made for “The King With Swagga” album that was not finished in time before I put the album out, but at the same time, I rushed to get the album out. The songs are almost finished and will be posted soon, depending on how they do or how much attention it gets, I will place them for download soon.

No, I’m not putting out any more album unless something happens, but I will put single songs on iTunes, that’s if the song gets attention. About the videos, I have two more videos i’m putting out for songs from TKWS album. One of them videos will premiere Saturday, August 28th at 9:30pm (east coast time), The other video is still being edited at the moment but will come out probably in a couple of weeks. In addition to tomorrow video premiere, Nu Sound Entertainment is putting a mixtape of mine called “I Am Kutta”, which will be available as a free download at www.TweetMySong.com & www.HotNewHipHop.com, the mixtape is not lyrically the best but I kinda rushed this mixtape out, they paying for it, you might think it’s weird but it’s true. I’m not putting out the mixtape, Nu Sound have control of it. Please don’t judge the music on the mixtape, i’m better than that, when i’m not lyrically into rapping that means i’m NOT in song-writing/rapping mode.

Otherwise, i’m going to be busy, moving into my new place next week and trying to take my time to get myself together. That’s it for now!

K.K.O.F. – “So Awesome” Music Video

This video for K.K.O.F.’s “So Awesome” music video (Produced By K.K.O.F.) – Song appears on K.K.O.F.’s “The King With Swagga” album. To get the album, click HERE

ABOUT THE SONG:

This song I had thought of since early this year, plus I always wanted to make a song about how awesome I am, not in a boasting way, but more like in a “I got it my head” way. It also started when I was at work one day, I was repeatedly singing the words and when I got home, I wanted to make a song about it. So I went to my computer and got to working on a beat idea but the bad is, I didn’t know how I wanted the beat. I can make beats in almost type of style, I wanted go Drumma Boy or either pop style but then later, I decided to do my own style, which became a rock hip hop beat.

All I had to do was put in the kicks, hi hats, a snare (that is often used by produced Drumma Boy), two rock guitars, one for the background and the other for the chorus. It did not take long to make the beat because putting in the instruments and stuff were almost done. I listened to the beat and it came out great, I like the lead rock guitars in the chorus part, sounds so rocked out.

Then it was time to write. The first thing I wrote was the chorus, I constantly wrote that in 5 minutes, had to be a little creative because I know how to come with a good chorus, and that is a fact. Since I was in a slight recording mode, I went ahead and laid down the chorus for the song, then got to working on the verses, I really didn’t know what I was gonna say but I pretty much just wrote to whatever was on my mind. The writing part for both of the verses took me a good 45 minutes. I arranged the song for the bars verses, the first verse consist of 8 bars and the second were 12. For some reason, I don’t always do a full 16 bars. I really prefer doing 8 to 12 bears in a song because sometimes with me, I tend to run out of idea in a certain song, plus I don’t like my songs to be too long for the listener.

After the song got recorded, I was done, well…not quite, it was on to the mixing of the song. It only took me 5 minutes, I mixed and mastered this song, it’s not mastered professionally, but sounds great enough. I have to say the beat I made for the song was SICK!

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

I wanted to do this video on green screen but again, I couldn’t due to the lack of lighting I had, so I had no choice but to go to the basics. It ain’t much to say about the making of this video but everything was kinda simple. Since my  (somewhat) friend, wanted to come over to my crib, I figured he would be my cameraman of that day. Oh yeah, a couple weeks of ago, I brought a HD camera and I shot all my shoots with that camera. The camera works so good, I had to hide it from my sister because as I said last time in my previous blogs, she damaged my old one. The old camera was not a HD camera but it was just a high capacity camera, meaning just high quality, the last I used that camera was shooting the “Do My Thang” music video, now I got an HD camera, but what made it so good, it was way under $200. I was planning to get an HD camera anyway, rather if I had the old camera or not.

Anyway, in case yall didn’t know, my friend Fred, directed one of my old videos I did last year called “Rise To The Top”, it’s playing on YouTube now. This time, he is back. Me and him directed this video together, well, mostly me. We had plans to go somewhere away from the house but it was getting a little late, so we decided to keep it at the house. So for the first shot, we decided to shoot it in the house in the front room. I had to bring out the swagged out shades. The second shot was outside, there was a spot in the yard, which was next to the neighbors where it was something like tree, can’t really describe it but I shooted that shot there and the last shot was outside as well. This time, I had an idea, I told Fred to move backwards with the camera with me walking and mouthing the words toward the camera so the shots wouldn’t be the same, we circled around the yard and later walked in the street and that’s it.

It was on to the editing part, I didn’t start editing the video until that next day because I was pretty much tired that day. The video editing for the video took me about 4 hours. You know I had to put in some effects for some of the shots, so i’m not gonna go into details about that. Thanks Fred for helping me out.

That’s all I got for you today. I hope you enjoy the video. BTW: I’m working on two more videos for the songs from my newest album “The King With Swagga” available now on iTunes: www.tinyurl.com/kingswaggaitunes

Why I Have A Passion For Music!

This has probably been a frequently asked question for some of you people who inquire, well…Here’s why!!

I started doing music at the age of 12, but in my earlier days, my uncle used to play that old school rap music and it sounded so good. When I was 12, I was listening to one of my favorite dirty south rappers of all time, Master P. Yeah, he was my influence for me doing music, I thought he was the hottest rapper ever, plus I liked how he was crunk, hype, aggressive and how his music was catchy. I liked all his albums from his 1997 LP “Ghetto D” to his 2005 LP “Ghetto Bill”, them albums were so classic to me, I still listening to them. After I heard his album “Only God Can Judge Me”, that’s when I had a passion for doing music. Every since then, I been addicted to music, I can’t stop and never will.

The way I see it now, Hip Hop is different, artist is getting more lyrical and more aggressive, it’s not the same like it used to be, plus people expect you to be lyrical in your music but I think you should be your own artist and say what you feel, after all, it’s music. Some people can’t handle or have the ability to be too lyrical. I think people should be their own artist, you don’t won’t people thinking you’re trying to be like (for example) Eminem, he is very lyrical in his songs. If you trying to become someone you’re not, then you know in your heart you is a carbon copy. Only you can choose whether to lyrical or be a free-minded rapper. I can can lyrical sometime but i’m not trying to be like every other emcee, it’s a difference between a emcee and a rapper. I’m a rapper and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

I been a rapper for 10 straight years, technically, it should be 9 because I stopped rapping for a year but I promised my myself, as long as I live, I will not quit music. I hardly don’t have no friends, no girlfriend and no where to go but work and back home. Music is all I got and I have so much strong love for it. When I get bored, I make music, I think music, I talk about music and nobody can’t take that away from me, no matter what people think about my music. MUSIC IS MY LIFE!!

Not Enough Following for More Official Albums!

What’s up peeps, Check this out, if you’re reading this,

When I started rapping back in 2000, I fell in love with music instantly and started to pursue it. In 2004, I formed my first rap group called FireBoyz, which consisted of 2 of my cousins (Smiley & Lil Greg) and my former schoolmates who quickly became friends musically (Doggie Fresh, Lil’ Cheezy & Mo Harris). We had a great musical bond and I was on a roll, but then, a year later, Smiley got really lazy, being stuck under his brothers and stuff and would also tell lies or making excuses every once in a while; then my other cousin, he wasn’t able to come around that much because he lived too far away, plus he was very young at the time, so I was stuck with 3 fireboyz. In 2006, We released our first mixtape album called “Breaking The Law”, I produced that whole album and it got a few downloads on it, I also named it under my name because I was the one at the time who already had a little following. We also had a lot of collaborations by Doggie Fresh’s nephew named BullDogg, another version a the young Lil’ Wayne. We had a hit song called “Jump Around”, it got over 1000 plays on MySpace but hardly no hits on YouTube, I guess it needed a motion music video but we didn’t have no camera and Doggie was scared to be in front of a camera. Two years later, we was having problems with our music and our relationship wasn’t the same, every since then, I been rolling solo…but let get to the real subject before I go overboard with my writing.

Anyway…I had fans since I graduated from High School and gotten more fans when I collabed with A.P.T. on the “Rock and Roll” song. I was glad to have a little following, it was better than none. Now it’s late 2010 and I now have an on and off following. I had a goal, to reach as much fans I can so I can continue to pursue my music. I want people to listen to my music, look at my videos and support me.

Now the reason why I released an official album is because the people/fans asked me to put out one, but to be honest, I didn’t want to put out one because I didn’t have much of a following, which I thought I had but some of my fans went awol on me, usually they write me on YouTube, Facebook, tweet me on Twitter, or write to me on email. This where I realized my fans wasn’t viewing my actitvies. Even though I haven’t gotten my first check from iTunes yet, the only thing I know is maybe 6 people brought my album, maybe more but I know for a fact that I don’t have enough fanbase, i’m not gonna sell that much. I been thinking about this for the last few days now. I thought the “Never Been A Lame” was getting some fans, but very much off and on fans. Not what I want, I want fans to forever support me in my music.

I was thinking about releasing another album this year but after what i’ve witness in these last few weeks, I decided i’m not putting another album for a while until I get much of a following. However, I will put out another free mixtape, which would help me in the long run. I have an official album called “The King With Swagga“, my first album ever to hit iTunes and I know that after this month, i’m not gonna get sells from that album no more. You probably thinking what i’m gonna do now, my plan is the only way to getting some following is to keep putting out songs until at least one of them become a hit, that means, get a lot of hits on YouTube and other places where I can distribute my music. I love doing music and I don’t wanna do it for nothing. I do want the money but like I just said, I need support from fans, and new fans. I also realized no matter how hard I promote my stuff, it still doesn’t make a difference unless I see happening.  There, The King With Swagga has spoken.

Today’s music video is for the song “Life Without You” (Produced By K.K.O.F., That’s ME!)

ABOUT THE SONG:

I previously had this song on one of my mixtapes called “The Redprint”, but then, as I was working on the album, I thought that this song would be worth selling since people like the song, so I took it off the mixtape on put on my debut album.

How this song came together was one day, I was going through some relationship issues with my ex girlfriend and them issues came as a result to us breaking up. Once that happen, I had gotten a little inspiration, just a little, but not much.

Technically, I haven’t thought of a song like it because I haven’t wrote a deep song within 3 or 4 years but the fact was that my ex girlfriend kinda hurt me badly, I felt that I had to put it in a song, not that I didn’t care or wanted her back, but my reaction to my idea was kinda creative on my part. I didn’t think of the idea just because I wanted my ex to come back to me, I wanted to do it because I wanted to show people that not only I create dance/club songs, but make songs that is kinda deep and have that soul feel to it. Since I had the idea in my head, I went to my computer and made a beat from my Fruity Loops program. It took me about 30 minutes to make the beat in addition to 15 minutes for mixing the beat, then after that, I grabbed a pen, my notepad, played the beat and started writing.

It was not hard writing the song because I knew what I wanted to get off my chest. While I was writing the song, out of no where, I started singing, which was another idea I had anyway but I wanted to make a beginning bridge to the chorus of the song and then the verses. I wrote the verse first and it took about 10 to 15 minutes and the chorus took about 5 minutes. The chorus was repetitive but a little catchy.

The writing part of the song was basically suppose to talk about how much I miss that girl, how important the relationship is to me and how my life would turn out if I didn’t have her, the words that I say in the song are deep but yet a little sad. I wanted to make it seem like i’m begging her back at the last verse after the singing bridge of the song.

After I got done recording the song, it sounded great, even though at the time I recorded this song a year ago before I got my professional recording equipment. You probably ask this question: If you made the song last year, how come you did not put this song out?: Because also at that time, I was planning to make an album and that song was gonna be featured on it but I didn’t have no way to sell it, so I just left it. This is one of the deepest songs I ever written and now, the song has proven to be good.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:

Well…I had a idea to shoot the video on the green screen but due to the lack of lighting I have, I had to go back to the basic video shoots. I also didn’t have no idea of shooting this video, but just basically did what I wanted to do. In addition to that, people was asking me when i’m gonna make a video to the song, this was back when I had the song on my last mixtape “The Redprint”.

I did 3 different shots for the video. All of them was in my room,. One was standing against my room wall, the second was on my bed, the shot was kinda low from my face so I couldn’t put in all of it in the video, and the last shot was me in the same place but with the room light off. There was one shot I left, well…I forgot and that’s it!

That’s all folks, enjoy the video and be sure to download my album on iTunes today!
